Hired Urban Construction to modernise our tired kitchen and they did a brilliant job. We sourced our own plumber but kitchen fitting, cooker hood installation, electrics and installation of exposed extractor fan ducting all handled by UC. All the guys were punctual, polite and finished their work on time and to the highest standard. Urban Construction completed a complex structural, insulation and internal finishes upgrade to our residential unit. This including stripping back all plaster from walls, removing lathe & plaster ceilings, replacing lintels, strengthening ceilings & the roof timbers additional to removing walls and installing beams & lintels. Then completing the installation of all finishes and fittings, Plumbing, Heating and Electrical Installation. We hired Ed Bevan of Urban Constuction after a personal recommendation from a surveyor friend and we were not disappointed. From our first meeting we felt confident that we had made the right choice and that he knew what he was doing. We had frequent meetings both on and off site and were regularly updated by text. The schedule was reviewed weekly and we were kept informed of what was due to happen. Any changes were explained and we felt we knew what to expect at any given time. The standard of workmanship from the team was very high and the four-month project came in on time. The budget was competitively priced with no hidden extras.
