My afternoon at Unwind takes the cake as the best spa appointment I've ever had! The overall experience was premium beyond belief and extremely professional. From the delicious tea selection, chocolates, plush robes and comfy slippers - I now know that heaven IS a place on earth and that place is Unwind. My massage with Andy was so relaxing! His work space was so soothing as he worked away on my most tense muscle regions. My facial and wax with Dianna were both amazing. She is very knowledgable and had lots of great recommendations for my skin care regimen. I really appreciated the vegan and cruelty-free products she used for my treatment. I absolutely adore this establishment. I went here for the first time on my birthday this past June to receive the hot stone massage and I instantly fell in love. When I first walked in i was greeted by the receptionist who was outstanding and instantly knew who I was based on my appointment reservation. After I filled out an form, I was escorted to the waiting area beyond the lobby where I was served champagne, tea, water & other refreshments. Everything was delicious! After that, my masseuse "Yelena" greeted me and took me into the massaging room and waited for me to undress to get started. Once she came back in she instantly set the atmosphere into such a soothing and relaxing environment with her sweet energy and gentle touch. She made my first massage experience such a positive one and I can't wait to come back and request her again. She is such a kind person and a wonderful/gentle masseuse. After the massage was over, the receptionist greeted me with a cupcake to celebrate my birthday which was such a sweet gesture and surprise! The ambience, customer service & overall experience of this place is such a joy to be apart of and I will be back as soon as I can! Still going here a year later after trying it out for the first time. Facials are wonderful (now I see Tanyaluk) and Georgi B for wonderful deep tissue/sports massage. As soon as we walked in we were greated and brought to the back waiting area where the couches were comfy and we were offered water. As I waited for my session Antonio introduced himself as the owner and asked me how i heard of them. I shared that it was my birthday surprise but my boyfriend read great reviews online. I stepped into the room once my massage therapist was ready. She was amazing! In the beginning she checked in with me about the appropriate pressure. All my stress melted away on that warm table. The massage was just what i needed! After my massage I had a delicious pistachio baked and wired cupcake waiting for me with a glass of champagne. I felt like a pampered birthday princess. I can't say say enough about the service I received at Unwind! I called on Monday to see if they could accommodate a large party for my birthday on Wednesday and Antonio and team rolled out the red carpet. My friends and I celebrated a birthday at this establishment and everything was excellent! I can not express how wonderful everyone was. Unwind provides a relaxing experience beginning with their easy to use online booking system. I recommend booking at least 2 days in advance to get the time slot and massage therapist you prefer! But you will get a great and affordable massage no matter who you book with. I have tried their Swedish, deep-tissue, and signature massages and enjoyed them all. Each massage room is kept very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. This Unwind location is on a quiet street away from the noise in Adams Morgan and easily accessible by walking or through public transportation.I'm looking forward to trying more of their services, such as facials and gua sha! I can't recommend going here enough for all your skin care needs. I started seeing Diana over a year ago. I went to her initially for my eyebrows after reading several great reviews. Im super careful about my brows and she made me feel very comfortable while doing a fantastic job. I felt that my face looked better just from the first visit. After that, I trusted her enough to get a facial and my skin has never been the same since. I'm even more careful with my sensitive skin. She has completely transformed the way my skin feels/looks and thus the way I feel. I followed her to Unwind and have loved it every minute. I know she has an incredible following and it's because she is honest about product recommendations and gives each person's skin personalized care. I have since moved to a different state and only trust Diana with product and care recommendations. She goes out of her way to look online for the correct products for me. Fabulous deep tissue massage with Marco. Easy to book, friendly reception, and convenient in Georgetown. Well priced compared to some others. Parking is difficult, so walk, bike, or take uber/taxi. Unwind Wellness Center is the perfect place to indulge in a spa day with your friends. I recently celebrated my birthday with my friends here and had a wonderful time sipping champagne, eating cupcakes, and enjoying a facial and massage. Situated in the heart of Georgetown, this luxurious spa was easy to find (right next to Baked and Wired) and elegantly designed for comfort and an escape from business DC life. Wonderful spa with excellent service!We ended a bachelorette weekend with a trip to this spa. Unwind was so accommodating to our group! I was able to book an appointment the day before, for 8 ladies to receive hour long massages... UNREAL! The receptionist was so accommodating scheduling 2 sets of appointments at 2 back to back time slots.The facility was clean, relaxing, and beautiful. Unwind went above and beyond, putting my group of ladies in a room to relax before and after our appointments. We hung out in our fluffy robes & slippers as they brought us celebratory champagne, cupcakes, and chocolate to enjoy. Tea, water, and other treats were also available. All of us felt pampered, and our bride was able to relax and unwind (pun intended ;)) before her big day. I was supposed to write this weeks ago. But making noises while getting a massage is weird right Cause there were times it just accidentally came out. My husband and I work really hard and have 3 kids. We played hookie for one day and did us. We got a couples massage. Everyone at UWC was so nice and professional. We were greeted as soon as we came in and were offered water and treats. After all was done we were offered some Champaign. This was a couples experience that allowed us to get away from our hectic life for an hour. Wonderful experience. I highly recommend this span and when he and I get another chance to get away. I am so happy I found this place. I was greeted so warmly, and the place is gorgeous. It's a little pocket of heaven and tranquility in the middle of busy Georgetown. Andy gave me the best massage ever. I felt so different after the massage. I explained to him that I have a lot of stress all the time, and he definitely gave me the best massage for stress relief. Highly recommend the Georgetown location! The young lady at the front desk greeted me right away, offered champagne, and sat me down at the well-decorated lounge area. Lots of gold decor and large mirrors! The room I was located in was spacious and clean. I am new to Yelp reviews and probably would not have left one if the service was not so exceptional at Unwind Wellness Center this past weekend. My husband treated me to a 90 minute session with Fatima and it was nothing short of outstanding. Let me start with the facility itself. The building, the decor, the lighting, the waiting area... everything was tastefully decorated and visually appealing. I have been to many places over the years where the overall vibe of the establishment can really ruin a session even if the therapist is good. Unwind Wellness Center in Georgetown not only provided the environment, but Fatima provided me with one of the best massages I have ever had. I am not used to deep tissue and wasn't sure I wanted that, but at the same time I knew I wanted a little firmer than the traditional Swedish massage. I explained this to Fatima, and with a nice bright smile she said to relax and she could adjust the pressure as needed and to just let her know. This worked out beautifully! About five minutes into the session I could have simply fallen asleep, it was so relaxing! Fatima will talk as much or as little as you want and I enjoyed hearing a little about her. I told her about my job and a little about my family and we had a pleasant conversation that complemented the massage perfectly. Seriously, it was just an overall perfect experience.I am not sure how many times my husband and friends have been to Unwind Wellness Center in Georgetown but I can see why they keep coming back. I received a two hour deep tissue massage at Unwind today and it was perfect.  I like strong pressure, but many masseuses have a hard time sorting that out.  Either they're too scared of hurting you to apply the pressure or they go full coerced torture on you.  Alexandra's (I hope that I'm spelling her name correctly; its not on the website) technique was perfect.  The only thing I would change would be the ability to stay and take a long nap on the bed! I scheduled a 90 minute session with Fatima and it was fantastic. I am a bigger guy and an avid runner and overall a pretty active guy. My hips, quads, hamstrings, calves, and feet are always a mess and my flexibility suffers because of all the tension and tightness. Fatima worked all the knots out of my quads, hamstrings, and calves which allowed my hips and lower back to relax. She also was able to work the tension from my feet and ankles and the range of motion and flexibility was restored! The differences were night and day when she was done. Wife and I went in for a couples massage and it was nice. I don't get massaged often and I found the experience very pleasant. They used lots of techniques that my wife and I had not experienced. The setting was very calming even though you heard a siren every now amd then. We came here to celebrate a bachelorette party and I'm very glad we went for the relaxation route with Unwind in Georgetown - boy, did they sure deliver! Let's start with the space - Very elegant, welcoming and chic - loved the art in the rooms + chandeliers. We had a private room with champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and a cheese plate - it was perfect. As for the services. we booked both a massage and facial. The signature massage was heaven... perfect pressure and although, I was late to my appt, the masseur, did a wonderful job maximizing the time and targeting the all areas I requested. The 30 minutes (originally booked an hour) felt longer than I would've thought and I was relaxed instantly upon starting.  The facial was nice as well, very relaxing. The esthetician was knowledgeable and thoroughly cleaned by pores and applied a radiance mask at the end. My skin was glowing afterwards. All & all I was really happy with the experience and will be returning. Seriously, this place succeeded my expectations. My boyfriend and I came here on Saturday for our anniversary. We had a 90min deep tissue couples massage. And it was exactly what we needed. From the moment we walked in I knew I had made the right choice in booking this place. We were greeted by name and with water when we walked in. The place was very beautiful. Very lux! The room we had our massage in was large yet intimate. My boyfriend agreed with me that we lucked out with Marco & Aagi! They massaged that stress and tension out of our bodies.
