Unleashed in The City is not a service; it is a well knit community that my dog Chimo gas grown up in. Trust, integrity and extra special care are all values that each pack leader, office administrator or Kate, the ultimate head of the pack, seem to ooze. My pup has spent almost 7 years in the care of UL; crazy adventures at Cherry Beach, rambling through Humber and High Parks, or sniff and strolls through the 'hood.Never did I worry. You can't put a price on peace of mind. Even on overnight den stays, my pup looks forward to his camp, able to hang with his pack pals all day and night. The UL gang shaped Chimo's personna in so many positive ways; he is way too hip, confident and just a tad too famous. Our pack is heading out of the city for the country. All you lucky urban doggie owners should embrace the opportunity to be part of the Unleashed family. More...

Very nice local shop for dogs that offers all types of services. Grooming boarding etc. I really like how they have a day where local homeless dogs  can be adopted and they also hold charities for humane society. You know it's a great place when your dog pulls to go there (Luna, our dog never cannot wait to go in minimum to say hi when we're walking up ossington) they offer multiple services and packages with boarding (sniff and stroll, park play etc) gotta love the titles! The people who work there always give us a report card of how our dog did after boarding daily and how she socialiZed in her "pack" hah they really consider how your dog socialized with the dogs there and they try to acclimate them to daycare first then introduce  them to back section where they have a backyard for dogs to play. It is expensive but with all the attentive care and above and beyond they do for your pet it is well worth it. More...

My dog Winnie has been enjoying Unleashed Adventure Hikes and Playcare for more than three years. I've never doubted the awesomeness of the Unleashed team -- My certainty started when Kate sat down with me for the introductory interview and listened intently to every detail of Winnie's personality as though she were the most wonderful and compelling dog that ever lived. Incredible set of people at Unleashed. The walkers who took Merlin to parks, beaches and trails around the city are unmatched in their love of interaction with canines of all stripes. From Rob at the beginning, Matt, Ryan, Miranda, Laura, Erin and others up to Scott and William most recently, the appreciation and trust we have in these people to take only the best care of Merlin and their four-legged charges is boundless and not taken for granted.Kate and all the staff at Unleashed central have been just as amazing, accommodating crazy schedule changes and incidentals with professionalism and smiles.For happy dogs and stress free owners, look no further than Unleashed. Unleashed in the City is absolutely incredible - the friendly and caring staff are so accommodating with our hectic (and often last minute) schedules, and genuinely love all the dogs they have in their care. They continue to impress me with the level of detail and pride they take in making sure they are always at the top of their game. As a bonus the daily notes about how our dog Rufus does are so nice to come home to. It's a huge relief for us to know he's in such good care. Kate and Co. The day Unleashed In The City opened up around the corner from my house could also be called 'best day in my/my dogs life' thus far.  Otis has been there four years now (holy!  where has the time gone?), and it has brought me such peace of mind and comfort to know that he's there and not sitting at home, lonely and waiting for me to return (or destroying all my things/eating things he shouldn't).  The team at Unleashed (every single person there - truly) are nothing short of lovely human beings and complete life savers.  They consistently go above the call of duty for us.  Otis loves going to playcare - he goes almost every week day - and he boards whenever I can't take him with me.  The daily report cards are filled with personality, humour, compassion and love.  I wholeheartedly trust their instincts whenever it comes to safety:  Recently, I was out of the country, and they called me to say they were concerned about an issue and offered to take him to the vet to make sure everything was AOK.  It means SO much to be able to call the Unleashed family, a 2nd family for my dog.  If it was possible to give more than 5 stars, I would give 1000. Being a new 'dog mom' and having a very busy schedule,  I thought it would be important to have my little guy near work in the beginning because he was a rescue and had trouble being alone. I walked into Unleashed and was immediately welcomed by the friendly staff, I was a little overwhelmed by the change in my life but the girls immediately put me at ease and had amazing energy. I love the fact that they don't accept you right away and take the time to meet with you. Personally speaking I worry about Tiny and it was refreshing to see that they aren't quick to just accept any new dog before they get to know them, especially because unfortunately there are people who mistreat their dogs and also violent and aggressive dogs who can potentially harm my friendly and gentle pup. Tiny absolutely loves going into Unleashed, so much in fact that when I try to get him out the door his stubborn bulldog quality kicks in and it's impossibly to pull him away. No matter how busy they are, the ladies always greet me and are ready to tell me how Tiny did when I pick him up. They are also attentive to changes in his behaviour as well as protective of the dogs and separate them when they feel there is a personality clash...which is so cool. Since I am busy and always in a rush, I love that I can just pull a product off the shelf and they put it on my tab, it's convenient and fast. I feel very fortunate to have Unleashed around the corner from me and would recommend any client or friend go here. I am sad to see an earlier post who referred to the staff here as being "Hipster" and in a derogatory way. I feel that it is blatant disrespect and posts like that should not appear on here as it truly comes from an ignorant place. The staff at Unleashed is pleasant and caring and have always done their best to accommodate Tiny and I several times.I have a regular dog walker but will always bring my pup here when in need and so that he can have different experiences. Our dog has been with Unleashed in the City for the past year & started as a puppy.  I chose Unleashed in the City particularly because of Max. I had seen him in the park a few times with the pack - while other people were sitting around chatting he was paying close attention to all of the dogs and keeping them active.   We met with Kate for an initial meeting; Kate was very thorough & asked many questions about our pup.  We were very confident that she would be in good hands with Unleashed & her needs would be met.  We were having trouble training her to come when called & some trouble walking her on a leash, we saw improvements immediately.  We like the fact that all dogs go through this process, it puts our mind at ease knowing she will be safe because the Unleashed Team is very familiar with all of the dogs.We use all of the Unleashed services: fun runs, adventure hikes, play care & we never hesitate to leave our dog with them for a night, or a week at a time.  I love the fact that our dog stays with Kate at her place and gets to be a part of her family while we are away.  Once we were stuck at the hospital for an emergency and couldn't make it home - we called Kate & the team, they were there with the Canine Cab to pick her up for a day of play care immediately.  I can't stress enough how amazing this was & how happy we are to have someone to look after our pup when we are unable to.I love the fact that twice a week our dog gets to spend a couple hours with the same person.  She loves & trusts Max and greets him with excitement every time she sees him.  I have been home the odd time when he has dropped her off & she sits at the door and cry's when he leaves, then has a long nap from all of the fun she has had. I know that our dog is happier and has a much better life because of her two fun runs a week & all of the great care she gets at Unleashed.The whole team at Unleashed very friendly & is always available to answer our questions or help us out.  Often when out for a walk with my dog I stop by the shop so she can see everyone and grab a toy or treat.  I can't imagine our lives without Unleashed in the City & truly thank them for everything they do!! After reading some of the recent reviews I am, quite frankly, shocked!  Kate and the Unleashed team have never shown anything but the utmost professionalism, kindness and affection toward all the dogs in their care.  My Weimaraner is a rescue who suffers from severe separation anxiety to the degree that she can't ever be left alone.  She adores going to Unleashed and has bonded with each and every staff member.  In fact when I drop her off, whether for playcare or boarding, she doesn't even look back for me, and goes to greet all the staff and her doggy pals.  I don't ever worry about her while she is in their capable hands.  I love my dog more than anything and would never send her somewhere that mistreated her or where I didn't have ultimate confidence and trust in the people looking after her.  I first met Max at the dog park while he was on a pack walk, even before I interviewed with Kate.  I was thrilled to see how attentive he was with the dogs.  I have even seen him carry a nervous dog to the door when she was unsure about wanting to walk through the store front. It reassured me that I was making the right decision for my girl.Astrid now looks at Kate as a second mom.  She has boarded many times and is happy and content when I pick her up (and better behaved!!). I feel that when people choose this platform to air petty grievances, some based on half the story, that they clearly have too much time on their hands.  To suggest that this place should be "put out of business" is insulting the intelligence of the loyal clients who trust Unleashed in the City with our furry family members.   I have recommended Unleashed to many people, friends and strangers alike. I am not new to the world of dog daycares as I have used them for Astrid while living in Los Angeles, and have been frustrated that there is nothing that remotely compares to the services that Unleashed provides.  I will end with this note:  spraying a dog in the face with a squirt bottle to prevent inappropriate behaviour is not cruel or unkind.  It is a training tool that works without causing harm and I have consulted a professional behaviourist in LA on this topic when I hired him to help with Astrid's anxiety issues.  To insinuate that the Unleashed staff use inappropriate methodology is ridiculous. I've been using Kate to walk my dog since she was a one person show. Now her business has expanded to an entire team, and yet the quality and consistency of care has not gone down at all.    Everyone that I have ever encountered at Unleashed is nothing short of exceptionally courteous, professional, and kind (to both dog and owner).  My dogs actually love boarding at Unleashed, which takes a huge amount of stress off of us when we have to go away.  Unleashed goes above and beyond, consistently.   My dogs, being two big, sloppy hounds, are far from easy and with Kate and the Unleashed team I NEVER have to worry.  They come home tired, safe, and happy every single time.  Thank you for providing such excellent care. These guys are amazing. We were coming to town for 4-5 day from NYC and wanted to keep our German Shepard, Kaiser, close to us. We looked at many places and called a few. But Kate and her team are hands-down the ultimate Doggie Day Care and Boarding in Toronto. He was taken care of better than any place we have ever been to in NY, Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and other states and cities. They deeply and passionately care about your pet. We received daily updates and pictures... Kate personally texted us back and forth to coordinate pick-up drop-off and beyond. We'll have to visit Toronto again... just for Kaisi to have fun at Unleashed in the City. Thank you! More...

After getting a new puppy, Unleashed in the City was recommended to me from a friend who lived in the neighbourhood.  From day one, the team at Unleashed did not disappoint.  My Wheaten Terrier Charlie, immediately became a part of the Unleashed family and I could always trust that Charlie was getting the best care and attention during his daily 'fun runs' at the beach or park.  The team was always professional and very accommodating on those days when I needed to make a last minute schedule change.    Unfortunately we had to say good-bye to Unleashed when we moved out of the city last week.  Both Charlie and I will really miss the Unleashed team and hope that they decide to open up an Etobicoke facility soon! Unleashed is unbelievable!We have a year and half old old boxer, Lennon.  We, like any of you reading reviews about dog daycare/walkers, are pretty into our dog. ...well really, really into our dog. We weren't looking for a place to just drop him off while we were at work, we wanted a place where he could blow off some steam, play with his friends, and get lots of love and pets from the staff. We really liked unleashed because:1. They care. They really do!!  - The staff is amazing...so personable, smart and loving. They knew the things about our dog that only we do...like how good of a hugger he is, how he likes to hide his ball and then jump on it relentlessly...or how he wiggles his butt when he's really excited. Seeing this, we had no problem trusting them with our favourite and only dogchild.2. They are tres Professional - What they promise, they deliver. They were more than reliable and consistent and they listened to our needs. Our dog had separation anxiety...so we always had special requests which were always followed. Lennon had a couple injuries, and unleashed was sure to monitor these, and report back on how he was doing.3. Boarding..Boarding...boarding. Lennon used to starve himself if we ever left him with other people. With Unleashed, he always came home exhausted, happy, and the same weight! I travelled a lot for work, so they were super accommodating with taking our guy. This is a HUGE recommendation to anyone looking for a great dog walker/day care provider. More...

Great rates, super friendly and they keep it all about the dog!  All the staff and walkers know how to speak dog fluently and keep my recently rescued 100lb German Shepherd / Husky mix in-line and HAPPY!  Highly recommended!
