I had the opportunity to work out at Universal Pro Gym yesterday. What a great place! I visit gyms all over the country in my travels and this one is at the top of the heap. They have everything you could ever need. They have cardio machines, a few squat racks, Smith machines, plenty of free weights and even a couple trap deadlift bars (great peice of equipment that most gyms don't have).The gym was neat and extremely clean. All in all it was a great experience. If I lived nearby this would definitely be my home town gym! More...

I've been working with Joe and Jackie for a couple years now and i must say that i could not be more pleased with how I'm treated. We went from losing the bad weight to putting on the good weight, great diet and workout plans. Everything Joe has done is specifically tailored to my needs and not just a generic plan that is given to everyone.UPG is the best gym I've ever been to, its clean its big and the equipment is second to none. Potentially might move into the area so I wanted to get a guest pass to check it the gym. The guys up front are great and super wonderful. I will be going in the early morning and they made a pass for me to get access in the morning. I was also given a free preworkout sample which they didn't have to. I felt at home with those guys and very welcomed. The gym looked really clean and new but I'll go into detail once I get a couple full workout sessions in. But so far everything looked great and I hope I move here and make this my second home.Update: gym has pretty much new equipment and everything from free weights to machines to deadlift/squat/etc. It's not crowded at all in the morning so that's perfect. They also have preworkout powder for $2 if you forget to take some or Mr. Hyde premade preworkout and other products like protein and creatine. More...

Stuck it out through the plumbing and lawyer issue. It's sad to see that people quit or left this amazing gym because of things they thought were happening. Hey more room for us to work out. Great gym!! State of the art facility with top notch equipment! Weights are varied and go heavy enough for even the strongest lifters! Facility is extremely clean and locker rooms are kept spotless.

I also enjoyed the supplement section when you first walk in. A wide variety of different supp lines and products as well as a knowledgeable and friendly staff. I felt right at home from the minute I arrived until I left. Picked up a nice shirt to celebrate my visit and I look forward to returning soon! This is a phenomenal gym to train at if you are in the area but also worth the trip if you like checking out new facilities with a personalized touch and excellent atmosphere! More...

This is hands down the best gym I have ever been a member at. The facility and the equipment are top-notch, they spared no expense when it came to ensuring that all aspects of the gym were the best they could possibly be. These include but are not limited to, wide and grippy benches, fancy cable attachments, great power stations with bumpers, and unique plate loaded leg press, hack squat, and pit shark squat. The staff are even more impressive than the facility. They are all extremely knowledgeable, and overly friendly which creates a great atmosphere there. Yes there are serious lifters there, and they are greeted the same exact way that the older women coming in to do cardio are - as a highly valued member. The trainers are always moving around the gym with their clients, and I have never even seen one distracted by cell phones while training their clients, not even once. The cookie cutter globo gyms in the area like LA Fitness ( I know this, since I belong there as well) have trainers that will sit on the machine next to the client and be texting as the client is performing the exercise incorrectly. What I see at Universal Pro Gym is even their youngest trainer, while working with an older women, taught her the proper form for a cable exercise, showed her the safe and unsafe body position, selected the lightest weight possible, and then still brought the cable into the safe starting position for her so that she didn't even need to expose herself to the least safe portion of the movement! Don't hesitate with getting a membership here. Also, it's open 24 hours, so no restrictive "Oh well, the gym is closing soon anyway excuses." More...

Went there tonight for the first time, and it was awesome. Talked to Joe, he answered all of my questions, showed me the whole facility and even talked to me about some weight training tips. The gym itself seriously has some of the nicest equipment I’ve used in the last 18+years of weight lifting. Cable machines are very smooth, independent leg press and a belt squat machines were the first I’ve gotten to see at any gym. Love the open feeling and cleanliness.... Best gym in the area. Hands down. Plenty of space. Best equipment I've ever used. No more waiting for the squat rack since they have 3 (plus a belt squat. .. like who else had that?!?). Very friendly owners/operators. Great locker rooms. My favorite thing would be the variety of barbells that they have to use. If you're tired of your current gym situation, this is the gym for you.
