The bill was appropriate. Makes me feel like I am back in Sacramento.

Grilled chicken salad was fabulous. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Dessert fell short though. Cake was flavorless and the texture was affected by refrigeration. I know they want to preserve their product but I dont care for frozen thawed out cold cake. Still 4 stars for the main course. More...

Its a little run down, but the food is absolutely awesome! My steak melted in my mouth and my husband's coconut shrimp was the best. We would come back for sure. Oh...and wait staff was very polite. More...

Service is usually speedy and the food is based on old American classics. The interior is older and interesting to look at. Try the dragon eggs!

The food is just as delicious as always. Love the Motown sound they play and everyone was having a great time. Come on down and meet Carrigan the world's greatest server.

I love the feel of this place. Old Detroit without looking worn. Great food and great service. Had one small hiccup with my wife's steak being over cooked. They made it right no questions asked. Even knocked some off the bill when they didn't have too. Union Street will stay on our list of go to joints. More...

Great atmosphere, great food! Stopped in by chance, and wasn't disappointed. Prices are on the higher side; however, not outrageous. Portions were on the large side - so you do get your money's worth. Highly recommended. I will definitely be going back, and won't hesitate to suggest it for food and the Winter Mule. Yum! More...

We arrived at 2:45pm on a Saturday for a private party in the Michigan room. Love the space, large windows, easy access to the restroom. Plenty of space for our group of 40. Speakers surround the room. The manager met us promptly and took our drink orders. Our event was booked for 3pm - 7pm. The entire restaurant was relatively empty when we arrived so the staff was very attentive took all our drink and meal orders and we received everything pretty quickly. The food was amazing!!!! I spoke to everyone in our group no complaints other than a couple drink orders were forgotten. The music was too loud so we asked them to lower it and they did. Then around 5:15pm or so I noticed the music had been turned up really loud and that the wait staff were scarcely seen. Some of us wanted desert, boxes & ecetra. I asked someone to lower the music again eventually they did, I noticed it was getting really busy in the other section of the restaurant. It dawned on me that they were short on staff so I asked and it was confirmed. It would have been nice if they told us. I also got the impression they were trying to drive us out before 7pm by turning the music up. I heard they had another group booked for 7pm we left about 6:15pm. After everything was said and done a little communication can go a long way, let your patrons know what your up against you'd be surprised at how they may respond. The Q-line runs right near the restaurant, they have a parking lot. I was told parking was free for us because of the time we booked our event. We were charged for the use of the room. Yes I will definitely return, but definitely not at peak times. More...

Was there this past Friday with about 10 of my close friends and had a great time, per usual! The crab cakes are fantastic, I absolutely love them! Our server was very friendly and took very good care of us. I have been a patron of this establishment for many, many years and have never had any issues with neither my food nor service. I highly recommend Union Street! More...

Every time I come here, I have great service and good food. I LOVE their Dragon Eggs as an appetizer--if you're looking for HOT, look no further that a plate of those Dragon Eggs. Parking is also super convenient with their own lot. Highly recommend checking this gem out. I always go there before I go to a show at the DSO and I have no problems getting in and out quickly. If you are looking for some seriously great food, Union Street is the place. We have been several times and have never been disappointed. The menu is so diverse that there is something for everyone. After serving Detroit for over 35 years, the Union Street classics remain but have been updated to reflect the dining experience that you expect in today's dining in the D. The food is outstanding! Service is friendly - Jenae is top notch and Gary can mix up a great craft cocktail. More...

We have been here for a wedding rehearsal dinner before our dinner this evening and we were happy to go there for an early evening dinner. The atmosphere is comfortable, with the room being on the loud side. The service was great despite it being busy. The food is wonderful as well. I ordered the Woodward and the meat was so tender,as it should be. The pistachio encrusted salmon salad was excellent and a little on the sweet side. This is a wonderful restaurant to go to with a very casual atmosphere and a great place to bring the kids for an early dinner. More...

Love this place excellent service from the hostess to the wait staff and excellent food with reasonable prices. I've been coming here for years mostly for lunch and always very pleased. The food is delicious with plenty of healthy options, salads are crisp and vegetables fresh. They turned me on with coffee, when asked their secret said made with just a hint of cinnamon. My most recent visit, there was about a dozen of us dressed in costumes on a pub crawl. union street wasn't on the list of pubs but we took a detour to get a good bite to eat. Was Saturday evening and they were busy. We didn't have reservations and told the hostess it didn't matter were we sat we just wanted good food and had limited time... bar, separate tables anything was fine. She went out of her way to pull tables from other areas and move together in the bar so we all sat together. Food and service were prompt. I had the lobster cob salad which was amazing More...
