I can't emphasise how poor and consummately unprofessional all my experiences here have been. From disinterested and inexperienced "doctors" who have barely graduated fobbing you off to a sister company for unnecessary examinations (when someone has a suspected heart attack, you do bloods on the day, not have a scan arranged for the week after) to staff walking in on an undressed examination unannounced, leaving the door open for the waiting room occupants to stare in at me at my most vulnerable.
That's not even the worst of it.
Their cardinal sin, apart from the incompetence, is that they don't seem to care.
Unfortunately, despite Cork pretending to be a city, there are no alternatives in the "city" centre and if you can't get a GP, this busy hive of incompetence and inexperienced staff is your only option. Dangerous concept if this is where they send freshly baked doctors to cut their teeth.

Went for travel vaccines to South America. Doctor went through where I was going and gave me a prescription with medications that I would need like altitude sickness and antibiotics which was a great help in my travels.

Have often visited Union Quay Medical Centre and always found staff very professional and pleasant. It's in a very convenient location, reasonably priced and have always had efficient and pleasant service both for GP and travel vaccinations.

Could not recommend Union Quay Medical Centre enough absolutely outstanding clinic with the nicest staff! Always a pleasure here with very warm, efficient and competent people to greet you. Doctors are very punctual which is a massive plus when you are working and have other places to be. You can usually get an appointment first thing in the morning or late afternoon at like 5.30 if you can't do a Saturday which is ideal if you work 9-5! More...
