What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Every event is as unique as the organizers and guests themselves so 'reading' and 'reacting' to the audience and events is key to a successful event. Keeping the dancefloor full is not about having the same people dance all night long ( everyone deserves a break - and a drink!) but about giving everyone in the party the opportunity to dance to their favorite songs therefore a good DJ should seamlessly blend the music so that all ages and tastes get to hear (and dance to) their preferred songs. I love to have requests and like to always make a point of letting everyone know that I have 'something for everyone' and am happy to play whatever songs would enhance the guests enjoyment.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I have a very relaxed and personable style, someone recently said 'he treats every event as though it's the most important one ever' which was a great compliment because for me, it's true. There's nothing more important than ensuring everyone has the best time possible. I don't have a 'Standard' set list or mix tape because every event is as unique and individual as the organizers and guests.
What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing people enjoying themselves and really celebrating joyous occasions, often, seeing everyone enjoying themselves helps the organizers (or the Bride and Groom) to relax and enjoy the event as well. I also love making new friends and being a part of people's treasured memories.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been a DJ since I was a teenager and have always loved music and entertaining people. To be able to bring so much joy to people is as rewarding now as it was all those years ago. The fact that I grew up in a small village in Yorkshire, England but am now doing Weddings, Proms and Parties here in Georgia is testament to the fact that, if you like having a good time, you'll have a good time wherever you are.
Why should our clients choose you?
The Number 1 reason would be reliability, It doesn't matter how bad the DJ is - if he (or she) doesn't turn up, you can't fix that.
I am very happy doing the work that I do and have no intention of employing or using sub-contractors - if you book me - you'll get me!!
Experience and professionalism are key factors in hiring anybody but in addition it's important that you feel 'comfortable' with your choice of DJ - you may not like me (or my English accent!!) but also, I might not feel that I am the best choice for your event (trying to be tactful here!) in which case it's better for both of us to be honest. As above, I'm not looking to build an Empire, I just want you and your guests to have a great time - and me too!
