It’s not just a fighting gym! It’s so much more. If you want to learn how to box or kickbox, there are wonderful instructors who are so involved in their classes. As a previous personal trainer and amateur bodybuilder, and now as a doctor I appreciate that this gym uses the most ergonomic machines possible. My joints don’t hurt even when I go heavy on shoulder press, my back feels great on the single arm lat pull down machines, the isolation is unparalleled with this equipment. Thank you for bringing this equipment to Reno! (There likely* isn’t better equipment found in Reno as I’ve been to almost every gym. For example: American Iron has some great equipment that this gym does not but I am speak solely to the quality of the equipment). More...

The UFC Gym is not a "fight gym"; it's a family gym that happens to have great self defense and MMA-based classes. The owner, Dave Strickler, has the most integrity of any gym manager I've ever seen, in addition to being a great positive motivator. UFC Gym is probably the easiest place to get in shape at. Great atmosphere, unlimited classes (with lots of variety), access to cardio & weight equipment. Best gym in the Reno/Sparks area! They offer something for everyone at every level, so you don’t need to worry about being in the best shape to sign up, or you can be the greatest shape and still be challenged. Every now an then experiences happen that have an extraordinary impact in life. Walking into UFC gym and meeting Dave & Mimi has been that for me. Since the first moment I walked through the gym doors I have been welcomed and treated with kindness and respect. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The gym easy to use and VERY clean. The patrons are pleasant and I have developed many wonderful friendships. I spend a majority of mornings working out with Dave’s coaching. Dave is hands down the most knowledgable professional I have worked with throughout the more than twenty years I have been with trainers and coaches. Ive been boxing for 26 years, and lifting weights for 34. As a result, Ive experienced both good and bad gym in both areas of fitness. But never have I been part of a facility.. a family.... like UFC.. This gym, its owners, and members are the best people to train with as well as just spend my free time with. UFC Reno is an awesome gym! They’ve got everything you’d want from a gym and more. The classes schedule is amazing, the coaches are amazing, the equipment is fantastic, and it’s one of the most inviting/welcoming fitness environments I’ve been to. I checked every major gym in town before I joined UFC. I checked every major gym in town before I joined UFC. The equipment is new. The facility is clean. The owners are trainers and are present at the gym daily. The gym staff are trainers also; these are not untrained minders who park at the front desk and can't/won't help. The people here are friendly, happy to help and have the skills, training and desire to help you do whatever your fitness goals are. Their prices are competitive. I believe the size of the gym, the openness of it and the section of equipment is the best in town. I think their classes represent a great selection of fitness options. I do not have to drag myself to this gym. I love going there and the other Members have been friendly and helpful. This is a 5 star place to me. Due to injury and faulty belief, I let myself go but realized I have much more life to live and that it was worth any perceived risks to give fitness another try. With guidance from the Owners and Staff- in less than a year, I have lost 28 pounds, a pants size, a neck size and rebuilt muscle. Most importantly, I have regained a handle on my health. I look and feel better and am able to operate in the world from a much more stable place. If you're ready to take better care of yourself, go in or contact Dave or Mimi. I have been here for a little over a year now. I have been a member at many gyms in the area. I have found a home. I attend many classes and use the weight area also. It is the all around best gym I have ever been too. From nutrition to fitness Mimi and Dave, the owners, are very know. The entire staff are are helpful. My first week in at UFC Gym! I have to say I was a bit scared to get back in the gym again after hitting the 50 mark! Did i just say over 50?

Well owners, Dave and Mimi made me feel right at home. Dave sat with me, listened and found out what I wanted to gain from getting back In the gym. After a long chat we came up with a plan. So I shall work out, start a meal plan and I know that Dave, Mimi and the crew at the UFC Gym will be by my side.

Thank you for believing in me and getting me back to good health from the inside out.

WOW! This is by far the best gym I have ever been to! At first I was hesitant because I don't consider my self a fighter at all, but after I went in and toured the facility, I realized that fighting is not the focus! It's fitness! They offer an array of classes from Daily Ultimate Training (kind of like a cross fit style class) , to kick boxing and boxing conditioning, to a regular weight area, this place has it all! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the coaches know how to push you, while still keeping it fun! All the equipment is BRAND NEW, which was a big plus for me. I have been a member for the past few months and have enjoyed every single moment of it. I have also noticed a drastic improvement in my physical health, and fitness.
