Ty Dderw Country Inn

After reading several negative feedbacks I was unsure, but you can’t please everyone so as a family of four it is quite difficult getting a room, so we booked, so glad we did, the room was bright clean lovely sea view, and the evening meal delicious cooked to,perfection breakfast simply lovely. My friend and I stayed at Ty Dderw for two nights during our short stay in Wales whilst we were climbing Snowdon for charity. We arrived very late the first night and the owner very kindly stayed up for our arrival. Our welcome to the country inn was kind and genuine. We were shown to our rooms and our host made sure we were settled in for the night ready for our forthcoming trek. A delicious fresh home cooked breakfast was made by our morning host who ensured our bellies were filled before our hike. The host was very friendly and was able to offer us some good parking advice at our destination.||The evening meal was delicious and our very need was met. The inn has its own restaurant, bar and very comfortable||Lounge with sofas. I would recommend this as a great place to stay for three reasons; the owner and her employees are all very kind and friendly. The downstairs bar, lounge and restaurant are such an added bonus so you don't need to worry about finding somewhere different to dine and the location is beaut! On one side you can see the mountain tops of snowdons brothers and sisters and on the other is a view of the Irish Sea. Further down the road if you fancy you can walk into the local costal village and watch the sea roll in and out. ||I cannot thank Ty Dderw enough for our stay. Our rooms were also very nice; clean, with all the facilities you would need and all ensuite....the shower was great!!||Thank you....hopefully we will be back. More...

This place is under new management who are working hard to breath new life into the Inn. The facilities are clean and comfortable, and the staff are warm, welcoming and will do their best to accommodate your needs. Dogs are welcome and so are children! More...

This is a lovely country inn down an unmade road. They provided car parking. The bedroom was huge and overlooked the sea, the evening meal was delicious served by the nicest staff we have ever come across.

We stayed at Ty Dderw (Country Inn) on the third night of our touring holiday. It is situated in the middle of beautiful countryside and set back from the road. Plenty of parking spaces. |We had a very friendly welcome and were taken to our room. Our room was relatively small but very nicely decorated. A gorgeous view out the window of both fields and the sea. All very clean with just the bathroom in need of an update. |The restaurant was very attractive and the food was very good and well presented. We had the chicken breast wrapped in pancetta but the fish and chips and lamb skewers also looked good. Breakfast was also excellent - cooked to order along with a selection of cereals, yoghurts and toast.|Suitable for every kind of traveller, including babies and young children. Lovely sitting rooms to relax in before dinner if wanted as well as an outside area. |If I had to point out any negative it would be that the walls are quite thin and we could hear the people next door talking. I cannot fault the food at all but the place desperately needs a facelift. The tables were sticky, there was an old smell when we first walked in and the toilets are in a dire state. The owner's really must urgently do this or sadly customers will not attend in future. More...

The staff are very welcoming & helpful, wanting to please & are particularly happy to have the dogs, who are allowed in the bar (where you may eat) and the lounge, but understandably not allowed in the formal dining room.
