What makes a great website?
Simple navigation and great user experience. A website is your shop window so make it easy to for visitors to find what they are looking. Strong visual design coupled with an easy navigation is key for success.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
We try to understand your business - who are your customers? who are you targeting? what are the objectives for this project? What other types of design do you like?
Describe your creative process.
Our first step is to fully understand your brief. We then start sketching out ideas and concepts and create a mood board for the project. We share this with the client to ensure we have understood before beginning the project. If it is a website we provide a full project plan to show key milestones. If it is a design project we aim to provide a couple of concept designs before focussing on one through to final. We provide all versions of artwork as believe that all our designs are the property of our client.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
An idea on budget. Who the target audience is? What the objectives of the project are? Any existing logo files or brand guidelines.
What do you love most about your job?
We love creating things for people, sharing our ideas and bringing clients briefs to life. Branding and design are evident in all life from the clothes we wear to the shoes we choose to the posters we see on the walls. Design is everywhere and we enjoy sharing our little imaginations with the world.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had always wanted to work for myself. I felt like I had too many ideas to be restricted to working within one business and working for myself allows me to use that creativity to work for many imaginative companies.
Why should our clients choose you?
We work with you to get the design right. We aren't precious about our designs, the client comes first so if we don't hit it on the nail from the first go we will go back to the drawing board until we get it right. Design is our passion and we put the passion into every project we do whether it be a simple logo or website build through to a complete company rebrand.
