The cliffnotes version is: Trainer Sean and Tug dogs saved our family from non-stop fighting and frustration due to our GSP puppy with separation anxiety and terrible manors. You can scroll down if you want to read my full story.I have put off writing this review for a while because it’s really hard for me to try and explain what it was like struggling with our puppy and his separation anxiety. I think we thought it was just puppy behavior at first, he missed us and as the months went on and it got progressively worse and worse… we then started to realize we were out of our depths. By this point our bathroom had been completely destroyed, we had given up on him being outside because he kept obsessively digging under our fence and throwing himself against the fence and howling non-stop. We could not crate him because he would start shaking and peeing and trying to chew his way out of the crate. So we kept him in the bathroom and he clawed all the paint off the door and gouged the wood, shredded our screens and chewed the cabinet doors off. Trainer Sean took him for a month long board and train and the difference has been dramatic. He is completely crate trained, house broken, able to spend time alone in or outside. He is polite when greeting people and has been able to be around kids too!! It’s hard for me to put into words how much stress and worry this has taken out of my days. Tug dogs is amazing! I've now sent two of my dogs for board and train. My first rescue, Charlie had horrible leash reactivity to the point I couldn't walk him unless it was early in the morning when I was sure we wouldn't see any dogs. Within hours, Erin had him walking past dogs...simply amazing! He was a tough case though but she managed to teach him and me (which may have been tougher) on how to handle his anxiety and leash aggression during walks. He had other behaviors as well that were all dealt with successfully. I spent thousands of dollars on another board and train and he was sent home on a shock collar and no change in his behavior and anxiety! My second rescue, Gracie, developed severe possession agression to the point she was attacking other dogs. I contacted Erin and she immediately took Gracie in for a board and train. Gracie no longer guards to the point of attacking. None of this is magic, just their amazing knowledge of dog behavior and their ability to address the behaviors...with positive training methods. They don't stop after you bring the dog home either. I've contacted them many times with questions and they are always there for me! Thank you Erin and team! Every trainer at tug dogs is wonderful! I did a board and train with Erin for one of my dogs and she was so helpful. Erin is extremely knowledgeable, professional and skilled at what she does. Michelle helped me train another dog when he was a puppy, continues to answer questions about training and has provided boarding. Stacey boarded our dogs for the first time this November and took great care of them all including my grouchy old hospice dogs. Erin and the Tug Dogs crew are amazing. After a lot of searching and extensive research, we had Erin board and train our 8 month old field lab puppy. Over a month, we saw our insanely active puppy become a well trained, happy, socially well adjusted dog. It was really amazing. More importantly, Erin also trained us how to better work with out dogs. I think the biggest endorsement I can give Erin is that she has our full trust. I have never boarded my dogs simply because I never found a place I was comfortable with. I have no hesitation with Erin. ...and our puppy LOVES her (and Ruby too!).
