The cliffnotes version is: Trainer Sean and Tug dogs saved our family from non-stop fighting and frustration due to our GSP puppy with separation anxiety and terrible manors. You can scroll down if you want to read my full story.I have put off writing this review for a while because it’s really hard for me to try and explain what it was like struggling with our puppy and his separation anxiety. I think we thought it was just puppy behavior at first, he missed us and as the months went on and it got progressively worse and worse… we then started to realize we were out of our depths. By this point our bathroom had been completely destroyed, we had given up on him being outside because he kept obsessively digging under our fence and throwing himself against the fence and howling non-stop. We could not crate him because he would start shaking and peeing and trying to chew his way out of the crate. So we kept him in the bathroom and he clawed all the paint off the door and gouged the wood, shredded our screens and chewed the cabinet doors off. Trainer Sean took him for a month long board and train and the difference has been dramatic. He is completely crate trained, house broken, able to spend time alone in or outside. He is polite when greeting people and has been able to be around kids too!! It’s hard for me to put into words how much stress and worry this has taken out of my days. It was worth every penny and I wish I had done it sooner. If you search Hoyt in tug dogs posts you can see some of the posts with our dog while he was learning to cope and relax. More...

Tug dogs is amazing! I've now sent two of my dogs for board and train. My first rescue, Charlie had horrible leash reactivity to the point I couldn't walk him unless it was early in the morning when I was sure we wouldn't see any dogs. Within hours, Erin had him walking past dogs...simply amazing! He was a tough case though but she managed to teach him and me (which may have been tougher) on how to handle his anxiety and leash aggression during walks. He had other behaviors as well that were all dealt with successfully. I spent thousands of dollars on another board and train and he was sent home on a shock collar and no change in his behavior and anxiety! My second rescue, Gracie, developed severe possession agression to the point she was attacking other dogs. I contacted Erin and she immediately took Gracie in for a board and train. Gracie no longer guards to the point of attacking. None of this is magic, just their amazing knowledge of dog behavior and their ability to address the behaviors...with positive training methods. They don't stop after you bring the dog home either. I've contacted them many times with questions and they are always there for me! Thank you Erin and team! Both my rescue dogs would not be who they are today without you (& I wouldn't be either)! More...

Every trainer at tug dogs is wonderful! I did a board and train with Erin for one of my dogs and she was so helpful. Erin is extremely knowledgeable, professional and skilled at what she does. Michelle helped me train another dog when he was a puppy, continues to answer questions about training and has provided boarding. Stacey boarded our dogs for the first time this November and took great care of them all including my grouchy old hospice dogs. It is so nice to have Tugdogs to count on to be the best dog owner I can be. Thank you! More...

Erin and the Tug Dogs crew are amazing. After a lot of searching and extensive research, we had Erin board and train our 8 month old field lab puppy. Over a month, we saw our insanely active puppy become a well trained, happy, socially well adjusted dog. It was really amazing. More importantly, Erin also trained us how to better work with out dogs. I think the biggest endorsement I can give Erin is that she has our full trust. I have never boarded my dogs simply because I never found a place I was comfortable with. I have no hesitation with Erin. ...and our puppy LOVES her (and Ruby too!). Erin and Tug Dogs are our go-to place for training and boarding. More...

I have a high anxiety, adopted (at age 3), easily stimulated dog (lets just put it this way, touching him with just a finger will have him losing his mind), with a TON of drive, he's a lot of dog that means business when he's pushed to far. Needless to say he's a handful and for an inexperienced owner (like myself) who's never owned a dog like this it was causing a lot of stress in my life. After boarding him while on vacation and receiving a phone call of "please come get him, he's no longer welcome," I knew I needed help and he needed help....enter Tug Dogs! My dog went from not being able to go out in public, couldn't socialize with dogs, a hellion to live with, wouldn't listen to a dog who follows commands, can socialize, go out in public, and participate in group classes. While my dog grew, so did I because Erin and the crew helped me learn how to handle him and explain to me why he acts the way he does in situations. My dog has grown in confidence, works on battling his insecurities daily, and he is an overall happier dog! Tug Dogs is the only place I am comfortable enough boarding my dog now. I know he is in safe hands and when he'll receive the proper structure, love and care that he needs. I know I won't ever receive the phone call of "come pick up your dog" when I'm on vacation ever again! Tug Dogs also helped my other female dog receive her CGC certificate. Even though my female doesn't have the issues my male does, Tug Dogs has helped me ensure that she gets the train and exposure she needs to be a confident, stable dog. If only my male received this level of training earlier on in his life! The Tug Dog team is simply the best! More...

My one year old pit/akita/shepherd mix has been at board and train with Sean for three weeks now. Miles is a very smart but strong willed dog. He also suffers from separation anxiety. I went to visit him yesterday and he is now crate trained (he panicked in the crate before this) and overall is a much calmer and better behaved dog. I am excited to continue on our journey together. And am so happy that I sent him to Tug Dogs to be trained. Thank you Sean and Tug Dogs! More...

Tug Dogs has helped my dog get over some of her fear issues! They are affordable, not too far from me & they have a great Adventure Club that allows my dog the chance to socialize & play & work on her behavior. I really think the staff is great & they love my dog as much as I do. It's a great place for dogs! More...
