Previously, we had taken a puppy training class through another service and were overall dissatisfied. We decided to take another stab at it through Tucker's and are so glad we did! The trainer was extremely knowledgeable and the small class size allowed our trainer to both work with the group as a whole and make time to help us individually. I'm convinced our dog had a great time because though he was happy to see me when I arrived to pick him up, he was EXHAUSTED. I figure he played so much he tired himself out, which is a good sign to me. One of the best things about this experience was how attentive the staff was. During our vacation, we called to check up on our dog and were taken aback by the details staff had gathered about our pup's personality – things we thought only we knew! Great place. They send you photos - I boarded my pup for 6 days and got a photo nearly every day. They'll also give you personalized updates if you want to check in on your dog. This is without a doubt the best dog daycare in the city. I am definitely one of those crazy dog parents and I toured dozens of facilities when I moved to Chicago. The facilities here are above and beyond that of any other dog daycare/boarding, the staff is top notch and seems to have almost no turnover, and they take the care of your dog extremely seriously. I always feel secure leaving my dog in their care and highly recommend them to others. The facility has fully sealed floors, a hospital grade ventilation system, top notch online scheduling service, amazing groomers (it’s seriously impressive how clean my dog comes back), and the most attentive and friendly staff around. We've taken Penny here a few times for daycare but just boarded her for the first time. As nervous pup parents, we called to check in at least 3 times. Every time the staff was very friendly and gave us a very informative update that Penny was doing just fine. It's so great to get updates like what other dogs she's making friends with and that she ate all of her dinner. We appreciate the detail! We also got a photo of her on day 2 which was awesome. It has been several months since our fur baby, Zoe, completed adult basic training with Mark Julias of Tucker's Pups and we couldn't be more pleased with our investment. First of all, Mark was responsive, communicative and professional. As for Zoe: we adopted her as a two-year old adult with a few bad habits. She was a loving girl, but it seemed that she never had any training, never walked on a leash, and she growled at every dog she saw. Before signing up for training, walks were miserable for everyone and I feared she would never be able to play with other dogs. In our training with Mark, he helped us learn how to better communicate with her and better understand dog behaviors so that we could sustain her learning well beyond her formal training time. Now, several months following her training, there's hardly a day that goes by without a stranger complimenting me on Zoe's behavior. She is great on a leash, has perfect elevator manners, and completely ignores the dogs she passes on the street (even the ones who growl or bark at her). We've even been able to take her to play at the dog park and she has successfully played with several other dogs in our family on extended family visits. I never thought she would ever be the type of dog we could take to restaurants, but she has even done that very successfully. In short, training with Mark Julias was an extremely positive experience and worth every dollar spent.

Today was the first grooming for Tessa at Tucker Pup's. I made the choice to bring her to TP's because of the drop off, groom, and pick up service of grooming. She's not sitting in a cage, or waiting for her turn.
Stephanie, the technician listened to the specifics I ordered of Tessa's cut and when I returned to pick her up, my little Tessapom looked fabulous.
Everyone within Tucker Pup's was super friendly, efficient, and responsive to the needs of my precious floofy pupperina, Tessa.
I will make a return visit for her next grooming.

I originally had tuckers reviewed as a 3 star mainly because it was a decent option to daycare my English bulldog. Yesterday I had a minor emergency with my timing and they were extremely helpful in making me feel at ease so I'm adding another star due to their staff being so accommodating.

I was nervous to find a new boarding location when I moved to the West Loop from Logan, but after some research I decided to give TPPR a try due to their website's thorough FAQ section answering all my questions.

I've now boarded 10 nights, and used day care a handful of times, as well as getting nail trims added to some boarding stays. I've always had a full report of her eating habits and behavior upon pick up, and received pictures of her playing (inside and outside) every other day she's away. She comes home happy and satisfied.

The staff is beyond friendly and helpful, I've not had a bad interaction with any of them once. They recognize her when they come in, they all generally have personal stories about interaction with my dog, and the check-in/out is quick and efficient. Pricing is on par with other boarding locations throughout the city, and I recommend buying the 20 night package for the best value.

I do not have any recommendations for the company, as they've covered every base I could think of, and many I haven't. More...
