What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Keep the playlist upbeat and fun, stick with those two rules and you can't go wrong. Watch the crowd and go with what they are happy with, play the requests given also as that one song might make the entire night musical bliss.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I'm an enthusiastic person by nature, my style is "go with the flow" If it sounds good, you'll hear it. But.. If It's Real... You'll Feel It. I don't stand behind the booth looking bored, i get paid for doing something that comes naturally. I have a good time when other people are having a good time.
What do you love most about your job?
Watching people enjoying themselves and having the time of their lives. Yes i'm being paid to be a professional, but people know when your fake. I advertise so many music genres to play, because i enjoy nearly every genre out there. So if i'm playing tracks from the 60's or from the 80's, i know them because i listen to them personally also.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I decided to utilize my vast music knowledge in my early 20's by working as a DJ for other people, but after many years of working for others i decided to go solo. I listened and learned from other DJ's mistakes, give people what they want. How many times have people heard "don't have that track" or "not playing that" And for some reason people are happy to put up with that attitude, you pay me to play the music you want and that's exactly what i do.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have top of the line equipment, music that stretches nearly every genre, lighting to suit the mood and I actually enjoy doing it. I'm the guy you should have hired, when the one you hired was because he was cheaper. I've head so many bad things from people i know "had to give the DJ tracks as he never had them", "i asked for a song and he refused outright", "told the DJ not to play any of those songs and he did anyway". The list could go on, well you don't get that from me and you never will.
