Teresa provided a really generous spread for my parents 60th wedding anniversary recently. We had the salmon, Cajun chicken, gammon & filo pie, plus a selection of very tasty salads. Theresa at Tu Mangetout catering stepped in to help us out at 6 days notice, when another supplier had had to cancel due to Covid. She provided a wonderful cold buffet for 30 on each of two consecutive days. There were so many little touches which made her food and service SO special. From the perfectly cooked, tender, cold beef to the delicious meringues and brownies, so many of my guests commented so favourably. We could not rate Tu Mangetout more highly. Theresa was a delight to work with from the outset, making helpful menu suggestions and producing a truly superb meal for a family birthday celebration. Our needs were a bit complex due to dietary requirements and also a totally unexpected change of venue which caused Theresa and staff to travel considerably further than originally planned. She agreed readily to prolonging her day and then produced outstanding canapes followed by a truly delicious buffet lunch which received an unqualified "thumbs-up" from all ages. More...

Her menu suggestions were just what we wanted. Each course - we had 4! - was beautifully presented and delicious. Every one of our guests commented, saying what a lovely meal we’d all had. All home-cooked food and very generous portions.
Theresa’s waiting staff were very pleasant, efficient and courteous.
I was able to relax and enjoy my birthday celebration with a lovely meal in our garden at home.

I found Theresa by chance online and liked the fact that she didn't have set menus but suggested the food choices after having a chat and finding out more about the guests. I loved the look of her food that I had also seen online and once I had spoken with her, knew she would be perfect for our 60th birthday celebration. The team arrived promptly, set up, served and cleared away our meal for 14 in a rented holiday cottage without us even knowing they were there. What’s your signature dish?
I don't really have any one in particular, it is a question I often get asked but i enjoy making most things!
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
Most catering companies have menus all ready to send clients, I do not work like that. I always have a conversation with the client to get a feel for what type of food they require to suit the occassion, venue and budget. We ware a small company who pride ourselves on personal service and I am the only one you will deal with all the way!
What do you love most about your job?
Creating new menus for every client, whether it be for a simple buffet, wedding menu or private dinner party!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been a chef for 30 years and twelve years ago realised I could do better and be more creative working for myself. I set up Tu Mangetout and have never looked back!

Because as the company says, we are the friendliest professional catererers in the South west!
