I just moved to Bonsall...but love all the little cozy restaurants in Fallbrook. It is so hard to find good Italian food that is not a chain. I have eaten here twice and I love their food. They bring you warm soft bread sticks before dinner. This gives you ample time to mull over their extensive menu. My BF had the Oso Bucco. It had a nice presentation and a large portion. It was Pork. It came with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetable. He thought it needed a bit more flavor. I ordered the "Mamas Trio" which consisted of Lasagna, Chicken Parm & Beef Ravioli. It was yummy. My favorite is probably the Chicken Picatta in a rich buttery sauce topped with capers. It comes with a side of Angel Hair pasta and vegetables. Trupiano's came through for me again tonight . Out of town guests with severe gluten issues. I ordered a gluten free pizza, a long with our typical meat lovers  , added the amazing antipasto salad because it too is gluten free . We had such a terrific dining experience on 7-23-2019 here that we couldn't wait to return to Trupiano's this past Sunday evening and also to once again to see our superb affable and very proficient server Tonya.  Why?  Since our visit we've learned that Trupiano's Italian Bistro  is a well-know and beloved name in Fallbrook.  Simply put, it's a terrific place for exceptional service, an appealing atmosphere and incredibly well-prepared food fare.As soon as we walked in the door upbeat and effervescent "Nedi" Sanchez our hostess welcomed us and promptly seated us in Tonya's section.  Beverages and the breadsticks that Trupiano's are so well known for were promptly brought to us.  Not only are the breadsticks aesthetically appealing to look at they're even better to eat.  Why?  With a golden buttery exterior and warm fluffy interior, its virtually impossible to have just one, even with the anticipation and promise of an appetite-satisfying meal ahead.  Our Italian entrees were so delicious the last time we dined her that we thought we'd also try their cauliflower encrusted pizza Trupiano's special with Pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, black olives and Canadian Bacon too.  What a terrific choice because it was one of the very best pizzas we've ever eaten anywhere and trust us throughout our many years we've gorged ourselves around the globe on a lot of 'em!  To top-off our meal we had a scrumptious Mama's tiramisu that is to die for because it's just that exceptional.  Needless to say we aren't going to be strangers any longer and we look forward to returning to this delightful Trupiano's restaurant again and again.  If for whatever reason you haven't had the opportunity and/or the pleasure of dining here we respectfully suggest that you do so at your earliest convenience!Jutta and Fred Harden IIIRancho Santa Fe, CA More...

Oh. My. Lawd. I'm SO happy my mother in law found this place. We've lived on Camp Pendleton near Fallbrook for 3 years, and just started venturing out that way more instead of into Oceanside fairly recently. Our previous favorite Italian place went downhill, so this will for sure be a staple in our restaraunt rotation! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with friendly staff, and got seated. The breadsticks were hot and fresh, SO delicious. We ordered the fried mozzarella for an appetizer, which was amazing as well. I've eaten a good amount of fried cheese in my lifetime, and this was in my top 5 for sure. Between the three of us, we had the chicken parm, fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, and the fusilli Portuguese. All three dishes were PHENOMENAL. Killer flavor, texture, and presentation. I would go into a lot more detail but I've already written a ridiculous amount so I'll spare you, but I would order all three again and I can't wait to try more. The food is very good and if I could rate just the chefs alone it would be 5 stars. Our server was nice but she was already presumptuous and already assumed we needed a take away box when we ordered. ...Umm...has she seen my husband and his appetite? She was actually surprised that my husband ate it all. The hostess was not pleasant - no smile, not even a smile in her eyes, just very stoic and looked like she was looking right through us. Last night was the first time in awhile that I've eaten here. It's hard to eat at an Italian restaurant being a low carb eater. Eating here was usually a cheat meal. Trupiano's you regularly save my dinner time when I don't even want to get out if my PJs.  In sickness and in health your drive through window has been there for me through thick and thin, with great food and service.  Your breadsticks have always runneth over! Now for the nitty gritty:Best calamari and tiramisu in 3 counties!  Love the sauce and always get a side of it for my breadsticks.  The calzones are amazing and the size of a baby!  So good, born in NY but this is by far my fav calzone!  Thank you for being the calzone love of my life!! Chicken Madiera is outta this world.  I like to get it with potatoes instead of pasta.  We've tried other dishes over the years and never been disappointed but those are our absolute faves.Thank you for being a great business in our community. This place is money. The best Italian food i have ever had. I bet they even home make the pasta itself. A great variety of traditional Italian dishes. You can add protein (chicken, shrimp, etcetera) to any pasta dish; you can also make any pasta dish baked and covered in mozzarella. The options are limitless.
