My husband and I made a 5:30 reservation and reserved the vault, which is a cozy room big enough for 4 people. We were the first ones there and our drinks came quickly. My amaretto sour was perfect. We ordered the drunken shrimp appetizer and enjoyed it. It was slightly spicy, as the description indicated. I ordered a side salad and my husband ordered the wedge. He said the blue cheese dressing was excellent. I ordered a fillet medium and it was delicious. 8 oz is a bit too much for me so my husband finished it. He ordered the ribeye medium and enjoyed it. I ordered the baked potato, but got the garlic mashed. My husband ordered the asparagus but got the baked potato. We quickly got that mistake cleared up. All sides were good though. We also tried the stuffed funnel cakes for dessert. The black raspberry ice cream was terrific, but the funnel cakes didn't really translate well. The live piano music was an unexpected bonus. He came over to talk to us during a break. We suggested to the owner's husband Greg to suggest additional sides other than potatoes and Mac and cheese. Carb overload! Maybe glazed carrots or baked apples. There was no sort of fruit on the menu. He was receptive and recommended we call before we come next time and ask for what we'd specifically like (lima beans for me!) The staff was very attentive. They even prepared a bag of ice for us to use in our cooler for the leftovers. We went from dinner to the symphony, and it was a perfect evening. We will definitely go again. More...

My husband surprised me with dinner reservations at Trotta's. We had never been there but we will be back after our excellent dinner. The Trotta's were so personable, staff very pleasant, and food was fantastic. Thank you for making my Mother's Day SPECIAL.

Their blue cheese dressing is made on premises and is fabulous. Salad was fresh and tasty. Crab stuffed shrimp was good. My husband had the strip steak which was cooked as requested. Would have been nice to have more sear on the outside of the steak. Fo dessert We had the turnovers, one peach and one apple, served with Graeter’s vanilla ice cream. They were outstanding. The owner is the sweetest most accommodating woman out there. The nice family feel makes you feel like you are at a down home kind of restaurant with high end cuisine. If you love high quality food without the pretentious feel, this is definitely the place to be! The ABSOLUTE BEST STEAK I have had in years!!!!! I asked for Medium and it was, but it wasn’t just that, it had the perfect char on the outside, the fat just melts in your mouth like butter, yet so juicy on the inside. And I ALWAYS give my steaks the fork test — If I can cut it with my fork and not need a knife, then it is at just the right texture. Be it the perfect marbling on the Ribeye or a absolutely great Chef, I believe it to be both! Once you taste the seasoning and juices on and around that Steak I think you’ll agree. What a fabulous place! A well-done steak (not ordered by me) was still tender!! Salmon was cooked to perfection and the atmosphere is romantic, quaint, and VERY friendly. I understand that there’s a pianist on many nights, and I’ll definitely come back to experience that, but tonight we had a wonderful live performance by Matt Snow, a Big-band style/Frank Sinatra-esque performer and he was THOROUGHLY enjoyable! The food was really great, we had steak and seafood! My son who is so picky loved the Filet Mignon, he said it's comparable to Jeff Ruby's (half the price too).

We met the owner and Chef Terry. The best PR person in this restaurant is Pops, he definitely knows how to entertain guests and you'll never guess how old he is!

Trotta's made my husband's birthday celebration special! We'll surely comeback!

Great food - from start to finish. Eggplant strips were fabulous as was everything everyone had at our table for 6. Waitress was the best we've ever had, attentive and efficient but not annoyingly fawning. Free parking, easy to get to.

My wife and I had an early dinner there this evening to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary. My wife so enjoyed meeting and speaking Mr. Carmen Trotta, who reminded her of her former Italian grandfather. We both liked speaking with him. Everyone who stopped by our table couldn't have been more kind and welcoming. The service overall was top-notch!

Now, the meal was just fantastic! From the Drunken Shrimp to our soup/bisques, my marvelous ribeye steak and her tasty seared scallops, it was all very pleasing to the palate! We left with dessert in hand and very satisfied taste buds.

Thanks for a nice evening for our celebration. We will certainly be back!
