About

I work out of my home in New Braunfels as well as some of the local parks. My wife and I have a really nice set up on our property. The garage gym houses a squat rack, kettlebells, dumbbells, maces, battling ropes, mats, sleds, etc. Outside, I have a monkey bar system with suspension trainers (TRX-like and gymnastic rings), a second squat rack/pull up bar system, balance beams, etc.

Given my military experience and 6 years of bodybuilding I thought I knew what being healthy looked and felt like. After spending 3 months with Jason I realized I had not a clue what I was doing. Everything I've done with Jason has a purpose of moving, and feeling more efficient. My skin, joints and overall health has increased exponentially. I highly recommend Jason Kilgore to people of all ages and body types/ athletic experience. More...

Have had both of my athletes training with Jason for multiple months now. Jason's attention to detail is second to none. He is fully invested in their growth, not only in just their strength and mobility but as better humans. Jason doesn't offer a cookie cutter package, what he delivers is a highly personalized experience based on the needs of the athlete. My son wrestles, so he works with him on his strength through movements that will translate to his needs in the sport. My daughter is a wolds team all star cheerleader and the focus on her, is flexibility and power. I am truly impressed with the gains both of my children (I say children they're 16 & 18) have made, and completely confident that Jason @ Trident S&C was the best decision I could make in their athletic careers. From the moment I stepped foot onto the property of Trident Strength and Conditioning I knew that it was the place I needed to be for my fitness goals. Jason Kilgore took 2 hours out of his evening, typically spent with his wife, to speak to my mom and I about everything—from how his program was ran to nutrition to life lessons and everything in between...This was 5 years ago. The knowledge Jason possesses far surpasses any trainer I have ever met. The thing I love the most is he is forever continuing to learn new things and he brings it to us, his clients. I will follow this guy wherever his career will take him. I highly recommend him and his services to anyone within reach. He understands where you are in your fitness journey and will modify, if needed, any workout so you can accomplish your goals without feeling like you can’t do something. He strives to make you successful and that is something that big “globo” gyms don’t. I am very appreciative of his dedication to this profession. I admire his abilities and I will always seek to learn from him in any way I can. I love this place! All thanks to Jason!! More...

Because of my job, I have access to numerous personal trainers in a few different cities...many have asked to train me, one always tries to sway me still to this day. ..but the only one I will let wreck my body is Jason Kilgore. One of the pet peeves I have is when trainers look like they would rather be anywhere else than there training you or are sitting down while telling you to work hard during a session. After the first session with Jason I was hooked. Q&As

I think the biggest issue that people have when it comes to health and fitness is sustainability. In my 12 years of training and really paying attention to the mannerisms of everyone around me, I believe more and more everyday that a lack of sustainability usually walks hand in hand with a lack of substance in a training program.

When people have skillsets to learn, they start training movement patterns instead of body parts. There is much more substance and value in learning a skill versus staring into a mirror mindlessly counting reps.

The trade off?

Not only does a person end up with that aesthetically pleasing look, but they also perform better, think better, and are healthier, both physically and mentally.

To stop worrying about it.

Honestly.

When your focus turns from a place of vanity to performance, movement patterns, skills, etc, you'll end up with everything you were looking for and some.

Watching people push through a little adversity and, in turn, become better human beings.

Freedom. I get to call the shots. I get to genuinely care for my clients instead of treating them like cash cows. I don't have to be the globo gym salesman that could pass for a used car salesman. I get to be me.

Because...outside of my education, lifetime of experience and ever growing knowledge, I genuinely want to help.

No, really. That's what I'm here for.

Services

The beauty of private training is that the programming is insanely specific, but also very day to day based off of the client's needs at any given moment.

When a client comes in with a stiff back after a long day's drive or sitting at the desk too long, the program is altered so that we can address the current issue.

A hard day at work might not warrant the day's programmed conditioning, but instead a movement/yoga session to help unload the mind.

We stick to the program, but every day may present something new. Instead of blindly following the program, we address whatever IT is.

Cost:
60 min
- 4 sessions = $280
- 8 sessions = $520
- 12 sessions = $720

30 min
- 4 sessions = $200
- 8 sessions = $360
- 12 sessions = $480

Ask about small group pricing.

This is an adult strength & conditioning class.

All levels are welcome.

We cover strength & conditioning concepts, how weightlifting and body weight training apply, movement principles, mobility, conditioning, fat loss, muscle gain, and the nutritional concepts that will help you achieve your goal.

This class is your one stop shop.

Expect to: get stronger, leaner, feel better, increase your mental acuity, and learn new skills regularly.

Class is held 4 days a week, is an hour long, and comes with weekly mobility and skill homework.

Cost: $150/month or $1710/year (recurring)

My roots.

It all started back in college as an intern. I worked under an amazing mentor who trained a plethora of professional athletes across all sports.

I took quite a bit from that man and am forever grateful for the knowledge that is, to this day, helping me create stronger, faster, and more powerful athletes.

In addition to everything I offer in the adult strength & conditioning class, I impress the importance of power development and how it all starts with a strong core, speed training, hand/eye coordination, and balance.

Expect to: get stronger, faster, and more powerful while bulletproofing yourself from injuries.

Cost: See Personal Training prices or class prices if you have a group of 5 or more.

This is for the girl or guy who is a little more autonomous. The person who can get work done by themselves, but needs the guidance of a coach for programming, advice, nutrition advice, and accountability.

I use a training app that is, literally, a one stop shop.

The calendar is where your sessions are found. you can use the app as a training journal to track your sessions and progress; track your body stats; upload before and after pictures; and journal your food through the MyFitnessPal app that easily syncs to the training app. You can link your Fitbit to it, if you use one and there is a messaging tool keeping us in direct contact with each other.

Speaking of, you will have access to me as a resource during the week and I will never let 24 hours pass before getting back to you. You will also get a 20-30 minute call/skype once a month to make sure we're pushing in the right direction.

Cost: $300 for the first 12 weeks - $100/month after (recurring)
