Our experience with CFP was (and still is) excellent! The foster parent for the puppy we adopted has been such a huge help, even after the adoption process was over. She has given us great tips/advice and is always available when we have questions/concerns. The adoption process was pretty quick. After our meet & greet, we knew within a few days that we got him and we were able to pick our puppy up that same weekend! You can tell the staff at CFP really cares about their dogs and placing them in their forever home. If we end up adopting another dog as playmate, I'm sure we will go with CFP, due to the friendly and supportive staff. More...

CFP is the best! Nicole, Mollie, Jienna and the whole crew are incredible human beings. I've never seen a group of people so devoted to the livelihood of animals. On any given day, the number of dogs in their homes are in double-digits - which is a true testament of how much of themselves they are giving to this organization. Personally, my life would not be complete without my CFP rescue, Milo. His mom Sammy was pulled from the shelter by CFP and placed in a loving foster home. All the pups were adopted out, including mom. I have fostered and temporarily fostered for CFP - both of which are rewarding experiences. A CFP volunteer is just a phone call or text away if you need any help. I love this organization and am so proud to be a part of it! More...

I was interested in a special needs dog through CFP. All my email contacts were very timely and very nice! I met with Colleen who brought Sasha to meet my dog, my kids, and me at our home. Colleen was SO nice and we all fell in love with Sasha! We were approved to adopt Sasha and met with Colleen to get her. We had her for a week and during that time also met with Jienna who was very patient and nice. Unfortunately after having Sasha for a week, she and my dog weren't getting used to each other and for the safety and well being of the dogs and my family, we had to return Sasha. . I didn't feel judged at all by Jienna or Colleen for having to do this and actually felt incredibly supported in my decision. I know this probably isn't the typical review or experience but these individuals were professional and sympathetic during this whole time. I never thought I would be a person that would rescue a dog and then return them, but they all handled the situation very, very professionally. More...

I adopted my Sunny, formerly Bonnie of Bonnie and Clyde, from CFP at the end of September, and the entire experience was wonderful. I'm a student adopter and dog allergic, so I had a lot of needs in my application, but CFP was patient and helpful and didn't stop until I had found the perfect dog. Each foster I met/spoke to was very professional, kind, and really wanted to find the best match of both of us. And their support didn't end after Jienna's long drive to give Sunny to me. When Sunny got sick that night, Jienna answered my call at 6 in the morning and met me the next day to set me up at CFP's vet. She was even there to give advice a month later when Sunny's old mange flared up into a rash. I'm so glad that I had this wonderful organization, and Jienna in particular, in my corner for my first time owning on my own, and I highly recommend them to anyone else looking for a new family member. Thank you so much for everything you've done! More...

Cause for paws rescued my best friend Roux from the Granville county animal shelter. I am so grateful they do every day. The adoption process was very well handled and this rescue group really cares about their animals. Roux’s foster mom treated him as she would her own family. More...

I adopted my dog Brady from Cause for Paws and it couldn't have been a better experience. I originally agreed to foster him just to get him out of the shelter and they met me there to get him pulled on a day it was supposed to be icy/snowy so he didn't have to be there any longer than necessary. They brought me a crate, food, and even toys. They were immediately responsive to a few questions I had during the foster period. I pretty much knew I was going to foster fail before I even met him, but he had been surrendered twice before me and I knew I could give him the stability he needed. Cause for Paws does such great work and goes above and beyond to find their animals a good home that will be a fit for the dog and the owner. I really think they find dogs others wouldn't want to deal with but are really sweet and loving dogs just looking for a great home. Definitely consider them if you're looking to adopt! More...

I recently adopted from this group and they were fantastic! Great communication, very professional, and my new dog child Rumor came with all her paperwork and they were even nice enough to send me with some toys, food, and a harness for her. Rumor is a sweet dog and I can tell the foster mom put a lot of work into training her and making her adoptable. More...

We have the privilege of working and partnering with C4Ps over the past couple of years. I own Sit Means Sit Dog Training and have been very pleased to work with the caring staff and volunteers. They have a passion for saving, rehabilitating, loving, and reforming dogs that otherwise would have no chance. I have watched them invest time, money, and resources to save dogs that many other organizations wouldnt have taken the chance on. The team at C4Ps is one of the most professional rescue organizations in North Carolina. Highly recommend! More...

Cause for a Paws is obviously dedicated to the homeless dogs they take in. I have seen countless volunteer hours spent on fundraising to keep the rescue going and help their dogs both medically and behaviorally, fostering, running adoptathons for potential adopters to meet pups first hand, and helping any with behavioral issues. And I know from my own experience in helping that much more goes on behind the scenes with administrative, legal, etc. needs.
I have met several volunteers who have all been dedicated and professional. As the owner of Topline K9 Solutions, I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work with some of the pooches.

Originally, I came across the organization because I was looking for someone to take in an abused Husky-mix. I was willing to foster, but could not afford the veterinary expenses to get the dog up-to-date on vaccines. I emailed Cause for Paws looking for help and to my surprise they were extremely eager to help! After having that wonderful experience, I fostered other CFP dogs until eventually I fostered one furbaby that I fell in love with and "foster-failed." I could not be happier with my volunteer and adoption experience with Cause for Paws. They have so many opportunities to make a difference no matter how much time you can commit, and they welcome all levels of volunteers with open arms. The people involved with CFP are kind and genuinely invested in the mission. The screening process for potential adopters and/or fosters is extensive which leads to a high level of knowledge and decision making ability from all volunteers. The thing I respect most about Cause for Paws is that they work tirelessly to get dogs (and cats) not just into any home, but into the best home for the needs of that animal. They also work with shelters, like Wake County Animal Center, and others around the triangle area to pull animals with a high probability of euthanasia. I would definitely recommend Cause For Paws of North Carolina to anyone looking to adopt, volunteer, donate, etc. More...

We went for the meet - and - greet March 10th we had and still have no complaints! The foster was extremely nice and answered all of the questions we had with no problem at all. Application was sent in , my emails were replied to in a timely manner (considering they are busy doing hundreds of other applications as well ) I think they did a very good job in helping us get our baby ( was known as Bandit, but now Simba) I would definitely refer others. I still keep in touch with Simbas foster mom and send her pictures randomly of his goofy self (: overall I had a really great experience! thanks so much ! More...

I foster failed. I couldn't let my puppy lose his best friend they connected immediately. I paid the adoption fee along with the spay deposit. The fee includes all the vaccines and spay/neuter/rabies/microchip. It is by far cheaper than my current vet. But I do love my vets office so Shie will continue to go to him once she is done with Cause for Paws. Shielough is very loving and I can't wait until she starts standing up for herself. Odin is very gentle with her. The organization is wonderful. I only fostered a week before i failed. But the experience was great. i keep them updated on how she is doing. I would foster again but right now i have my hands full with 2 puppies. More...

Bullet has become the light in our lives. My husband is up, moving and walking everyday. We try to go the dog park on the weekends and we take him to our friends houses and the Ranch with us. He loves our cat, teenager and the horses.

Thank you so much for helping us fill the void that losing Sniper had put in our hearts. I definitely recommend adopting from y'all.

My boyfriend and I adopted Aretha, while walking in south point mall we saw the adoption drive and all the fosters out there caring for these dogs and puppies. The fosters who had Aretha were extremely knowledgeable, caring, friendly and understanding of the very few concerns I did have (my allergies)! Within less than a week it's official and Aretha is now ours! If we decide down the road to ever get her a companion we will definitely be going back to cause for paws!!!! More...

When we were ready to get our new dog, we went to an event with Cause for Paws at Lynwood Brewing Concern. I had met one dog out and about who got adopted that day, but we went to the event anyway. When we meet Hanzo (formerly Kong), we were really excited. We woke up the next morning and put in our request. We scheduled time to meet him at his foster's house and fell in love. We got to bring him home in about a week in March 2017. We've been happy ever since. Everything was so easy and everyone was so friendly, I started volunteering and attending events just to be a part of this amazing community. This organization works long hours with limited resources and still have a smile. Everyone genuinely cares about these animals and are trying to do the best they can to find homes for the unfortunate large number of animals who have been abandoned or surrendered. It's sad to see some of the negative reviews about this organization because I've seen both sides of working with them and cannot recommend them enough. I'm happy to share my experience with anyone who has questions and hope everyone takes a look at the wonderful dogs in need of homes. More...

I've had the pleasure to work with Cause For Paws for fundraising and adoption events at the bars I coordinate events for and they always work hard to give their adoptable pups the best exposure while fundraising for their cause to our guests. Their team and foster families are dedicated and extremely hard working.

I also recently adopted my fur baby, Tank (the cutest Terrier and Corgi mix ever!), from CFP and his Foster Mom, Heather, who is amazing. I'm forever grateful to CFP and Heather for my little Tank! The adoption process was quick but covered everything.
