To follow up on my initial review of J&J. After not completing a simple roof problem correctly, and offering a 10-year insurance backed guarantee, J&J (also working under the name Top Spec Roofing) have not returned to correct the work. They will not reply to phone messages or to messages left on this Bark website. The email addresses available for them do not work and no replies can be expected. J&J (Joe Loveridge and Joe Gentle, working out of Newark, Notts) are clearly rogue traders. I have informed the police and Trading Standards. I have also notified Bark of the type of people these lads are. I can only advise customers seeking a roofer NOT to have anything to do with these lads and, to the two Joes, skill up and then go out looking for business. We contracted Joe Loveridge to repair 2 x 4 m of roofing felt and to clean out and repair the roof guttering for £500. The roof felting repair was well done and we believe the guttering was cleared.
So paid £250 cash and £250 cheque initially paid to “Top spec roofing” then paid to J Loveridge as requested.
As they were leaving Joe offered fix 7 lose ridge tiles for £550. I refused.
Next day we found that the guttering had 2 bad leaks and a section of guttering had been left badly distorted. I sent Joe an email informing of these problems and requested a receipt of the money paid. There has been no reply.
We have found another roofer to make good these defects.

06/10/2019. Had the company come to do some work for me on my roof (to correct a leak) yesterday. After some rain last night I'm very distressed to see that the leak has not been fixed at alldespite the company saying that this could not now happen again. Paid a great deal of money to have the work done and I await my emails to them for a return visit. At this moment I can only give a poor review but I hope that they will return as a 10-year insurance backed guarantee is claimed to apply on the work.
