Tina was a lifesaver for my family Thanksgiving party I was hosting this year.  I must have contacted 30 different companies, servers, and even cleaners to try to find someone to help us out for a few hours on Thanksgiving.  Many companies were downright rude, stating they do not make their employees work on holidays.  Others gave us absurd quotes, and after weeks of searching, I had almost given up hope of finding anyone.  Being 6 months pregnant, and hosting a Thanksgiving party for 30-40 guests in my home, I really wanted an extra set of hands to help set up, maintain the buffet, and clean up.  Tina agreed to come work herself when she wasn't able to find any of her waitstaff to come in.  She showed up 15 mins early while I was still in my pajamas running around getting food in the oven, and got right to work.  She finished setting up my buffet, wrote the names of the dishes on my mini chalkboard plaques, and greeted guests while I quickly got ready.  She was very personable and professional and willing to do whatever was necessary to make the evening go smooth.  When the punch ran out, she offered to make more.  She helped carve the turkey, ensured the buffet was refilled as necessary, and plated the desserts at my request to make it easy for guests to grab and sit down.  She packed leftovers in To Go containers, cleaned up, washed dishes, and took out trash. Many of my guests came up to me throughout the night to compliment her service.  I am so happy I found her, and can't imagine using anyone else for my party needs in the future.  Thank you Tina for saving my party, and letting me actually be able to sit and enjoy my company for a change.  I can't wait to work with you again! Carrie was so helpful leading up to our event with tips and advice on drink selections and bar setup.  Our bartender Brian was awesome - professional, personable with our guests, and made fantastic drinks! Hiring The Traveling Tavern enhanced our clients' experience at our event, making it more professional, and it freed us up to truly enjoy ourselves to not worry about whether our guests were being taken care of.  Would definitely hire them again! Tina Ashely and Sean are outstanding. I've used the team twice now. I will never host a party with out their help ever again. Both times there was no garbage to be taken out after the party. WOW! WOW!! WOW!!! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!  We had a fantastic experience working with Carrie for a party we threw at our house.  I met her at a charity function and noticed right away how organized and efficient the bar was running (and if you've ever been to a large event and had to wait in line forever for a drink, you know what a bummer it can be). The line moved so quickly that I took notice.  I (luckily) took her card and hired her for our party.Normally I only offer wine and beer because 1. I don't know how to make most mixed drinks and 2. It takes too long.  With Carrie, we were able to have a signature drink as well as a long list of mixed drinks that my guests requested.  She kept the bar area well stocked and organized - it ran so smoothly!As the host, I was happy to have her expertise and help at the event.  After the event, I was pleasantly surprised to get so many compliments on Carrie!  She is so personable, so helpful, so kind... she was definitely a wonderful addition to our get together.  I will definitely hire her again. Traveling Tavern did an amazing job at our wedding on 11/1/18!! Carrie is so sweet and her customer service goes above and beyond. We had our original bartending services fall through at the last minute, and were able to secure Carrie for our wedding within 24 hours. She came to our rescue!! She was easily accessible throughout our last minute planning process and had reasonable prices. She greeted all our guests with a smile and a great tasting craft margarita. I hosted a surprise birthday party for my husband at our home last weekend. With 45 people planning to attend, I thought hiring a bartender would help some of my hosting duties. And, boy, did it ever! I am not only glad I hired a bartender, but I could not have been more pleased with Tina and Traveling Tavern. (super cute name...) Tina helped me to prep for the party; making sure I had enough alcohol and mixers on hand. Unlike other bartending services I talked to, Traveling Tavern brings their own pop-up bar to fit your space if you don't have a bar; which I do not. Then, a few days prior to the party, Tina touched base with me to ensure she had the correct address. On the day of, she arrived EARLY and got right to work setting up... Tina was super sweet, professional, personable, and FUN; perfect for our group. She not only tended the bar but went around taking drink orders, picking up garbage, and offering to help me, too! WOW! I had several guests tell me how impressed they were with Tina. And, a few plan to hire Traveling Tavern for their parties in the future. Cannot say enough good things! We had about 75 guests in our home and they made the day seamless! Totally went above and beyond and I'll never host another party without them. We were so incredibly happy with Carrie and her team at the Traveling Tavern and the job they did at our wedding in Julian a couple of weeks ago. Bartenders were one of the last vendors that we hired because we had a hard time finding someone to fit our needs and to be honest we weren't entirely sure what our needs were! We were going to be providing our own alcohol and wanted to hire someone we could trust to quickly and efficiently serve delicious cocktails and a variety of wine/beer. Thank goodness our coordinator recommended Traveling Tavern because they could not have done a better job! Carrie was extremely helpful in the weeks leading up to our wedding, making sure she knew exactly what we wanted. We had two cocktails we wanted served and she helped us figure out how much of the mixers we needed to buy. On the wedding day, Carrie and her husband showed up early to get everything set up and kept the bar going efficiently all night. Our guests reported that they rarely had to wait in line for anything and the cocktails they made were delicious! They really went above and beyond in their service and I couldn't be more happy we hired them. If I ever need a bartender for an event again in the future, I will definitely be hiring them! More...

I am SO happy I hired the Traveling Tavern for my wedding! From the start, Carrie was incredibly helpful and very knowledge about everything we needed to know about the bar set-up at weddings. She answered all my questions in a timely manner, guided us on what and how much alcohol to purchase (as well as mixers), and offered SO many valuable suggestions to help make our wedding day unforgettable.We had 175+ guests at our backyard wedding last weekend, and I have to admit... I was definitely nervous about the set-up, lines, etc. But the Traveling Tavern exceeded my expectations! The bar set-up was so clean & appealing. Our bartenders were Melisaa & Jontell, and these girls ROCKED IT! They served our guests quality drinks so quickly, I don't even remember seeing a line at the bar the entire night... not to mention, they had smiles on their faces the whole time and were professional, but also social & friendly with all of our guests!We opted to have the Traveling Tavern provide lemonade, tea, & coffee too for our guests, and we are so thankful we did! We hired The Traveling Tavern to bartend for a graduation party of about 120 guests. Kyle was easy to communicate with throughout the process and the rates were awesome. He helped us coordinate a shopping list and determine how much alcohol to buy,  based on questions he asked us about our guests. I felt so relieved after working out the details with him. We would have had no idea how much or what to buy,  but his advice was dead on. We had plenty of drinks to last throughout the event and received many compliments on the variety and the service of the bartender. We used the Traveling Tavern for our wedding reception. Our first meeting with Kyle was simple, and it's obvious he knows what he's doing. In the months leading up to the wedding he was very responsive whenever we had any questions. The day of the wedding we were a little surprised Kyle was not one of the bartenders that showed up. There was a miscommunication concerning what they were to provide (napkins, straws). We had our agreement in writing, and the problem was solved before it was time to start so it wasn't a big deal. Everyone raved about how friendly the bartenders were, and how strong their drinks were!  Kyle did show up later. The Traveling Tavern is AMAZING!! Kyle is extremely helpful before and during the wedding. He gave me great advice on how much alcohol to buy (we had a backyard wedding). He also showed up very early just to make sure all of our drinks were cold and then came back later for the wedding. I would highly recommend Kyle and his staff for any occasion! We hired The Traveling Tavern for our reception on November 1st held at the Mission Beach Women's Club. Kyle was wonderful to work with, he responded quickly to all of my emails and offered great suggestions as this was my first time hiring a bartender. He make the process very stress free and easy. The bartender that he had working our event was FANTASTIC! She was so sweet to everyone and helped us ensure everyone was having a good time. I am a Day of Wedding Coordinator who just worked with Kyle and his team this past weekend (7/19/2014) at a wedding. I have to say that they did an amazing job. He and his team were working non stop from start to beyond finish. Not only did he do a great job tending the bar, but his staff took care of busing all of the tables, and got all of the dinnerware, which were rentals, packed away and ready to be picked back up. The Traveling Tavern took care of all of the bar tending and part of the service at our wedding a few weeks ago in De Luz.  They were fantastic!  Kyle was a wonderful communicator and helped me every step of the way.  He is extremely reasonably priced and a great investment for whatever event you are having.  He and the staff went above and beyond every step of the way. If I ever have another party that needs a bar tending service, I will absolutely use them.  I booked all of our wedding vendor separately (due to our rural venue) and he was one of the few that I had no worries about- I know he would take care of his part of the bargain- and he did  Thanks Traveling Tavern! LOVE Kyle! We hired him and his team for our wedding (5/25/14) and he was wonderful. He was friendly and punctual over emails the months before the wedding. I was originally going to go with another company but they were definitely overpriced and their customer service was terrible. After finding Kyle, I couldn't imagine using anyone else. On the day of the wedding, my coordinator said he was early and everyone said how nice he was. We had a simple beer & wine bar with a couple of specialty bellini's and a champagne toast. The drinks were a hit and Kyle and his team did a great job helping to set up, run the bar and clean up afterwards. The only small issue was that the waitstaff was behind in clearing the tables during dinner so my coordinator was often seen doing double duty. I think some of the waitstaff might have been new but after she reminded them, they were on top of it. We hired the Traveling Tavern for our wedding at the Spanish Village in Balboa Park and boy, are we thankful.  Kyle was great to work with!  We didn't live in San Diego while planning but that was never a problem.  Kyle was quick with emails and phone calls.  He even met us at my in-laws house in SD to look at a MASSIVE bar that my husband and his friend made to make sure it was something they could work with.   Kyle and his team were amazing! We hired the traveling Tavern for our recent wedding.  Kyle was recommended to me by my wedding coordinator and we booked them right away.  Their prices were reasonable and Kyle was so nice and helpful in telling me what was the best deal for us, what we really needed versus what we didn't.  Kyle didn't actually work the bar at our wedding, but the guy and girl who did were nice and friendly.  I would definitely recommend them. I met Kyle at the SD Bridal Bazaar in January 2012. As soon as we determined that we would be using a bar service for the wedding, I contacted Kyle whose rate was much more reasonable than our caterers. Kyle was extremely responsive to all of my emails and helped me determine how much of everything to buy for my guest count. Kyle was professional, personable, and did a great job at the wedding! We met Kyle at the Bridal show in San Diego. What a great fined! We hired Kyle for our daughters engagement party at our home. We had about 130 people attend and Kyle was wonderful with keeping the drinks flowing. Kyle has a great personality and easy to work with. The best part was Kyle lives in San Diego where we met him but we live in the San Fernando Valley, Northridge and he didn't have a problem coming to us and on time I might say.  Kyle was fun, highly professional and dressed appropriately.Thank you again to The Traveling Tavern (Kyle), and we look forward to using you again in the future!Sherryl More...
