Sheila has helped guide me as an individual through challenges in my anxiety, she’s also helped our relationship through a difficult time and provided us with communication techniques that we have applied in our relationship and our relationship has completely been transformed over the last year and we wouldn’t of got there without her. Highly recommend!

Sheila has a wonderful skill set and was the perfect counsellor for me and my partner to develop the skills we required to improve our relationship and to stand the test of time. Her knowledge and experience certainly shows and I would personally recommend Sheila to anybody requiring assistance in all aspects of counselling. She’s adaptive to all personality types and flexible all kinds of needs. It’s also good to know she’s available to help if I ever required her services again. A* would highly recommend. More...

During our 16 sessions together over 8 months, Shelia was very supportive, understanding and caring from the very beginning for my treatment for depression, abiding by the medical professions ‘do no harm’ mantra. She was able to develop trust between us, and then progressively address the root causes, and give suggestions and encourage me in finding the best way forward. Her suggestion on using anti-depressant medication through my GP was wise and thoughtful, especially when the time came with regard to the lengthy period to wean myself of it. I will always be grateful for her help. More...

I found Shelia just through google and checking out reviews myself. After contacting a few and receiving replies, Shelia offered me a free consultation via zoom. This went a lot better than I could have imagined she made me feel at ease instantly which was my biggest worry. I decided to move forward with Sheila as my therapist who I've been speaking to for about a year now and has helped and taught me alot about myself and the problems I had. Couldn't recommend her enough. I have decided to ease off with the therapy side of things currently but will deffs be staying in contact with Sheila. Martin. More...

We started individual and couples sessions with Sheila when we were faced with a tough situation within our marriage. Neither my husband or I had experienced counselling before but Sheila made us feel relaxed and confident that we were doing the right thing. Sheila is very easy going and knows just when to ask the right questions which made the conversations and sessions flow easily. My husband and I are very grateful that Sheila took the time to work with us. Thank you. More...

I made contact with Sheila after having issues within our marriage. We both agreed to work with Sheila as she is very understanding. She taught us the skills we needed to communicate and understand what our issues were. You have to put work into this even when you are not talking to Sheila in her your sessions. We are now in a really good and happy place and that’s all down to Sheila and the help she gave us both in joint and individual sessions Would highly recommend working with her and we both know that should we need her help in the future either together or individually she will be happy to help More...

I have been dealing with the psychological demons of domestic abuse for over 10 years. I have lied to myself and to those close to me that it did not impact on me back then or now. I was frightened to acknowledge the severity of it. As I get older and time goes by I started to recognise that there were themes and patterns to the way I dealt with situations which were directly related to my past. Over the years I had dipped in and out of various talking therapies but I always retreated due to avoidance and often being pushed too hard by a therapist or feeling like they weren’t working ‘with me’. I reached another point in my life where I could see the cracks were showing so I booked in to see Sheila. When I started I thought it would be short lived as I had never found counselling helpful in the past but at the same time recognised the potential benefits. Shelia has helped me to literally transform my thinking and self-sabotaging behaviours which has massively impacted on my confidence, self-love and self-esteem. She worked at a pace which was not over-whelming, she shows me the door and supports me in opening it so I can delve into my past and gain insight. This approach has empowered me to have faith in myself and I am learning to like myself and trust my instincts, this is a powerful and liberating tool to have been taught by her. Shelia has a real warmth, she is pragmatic and gently able to challenge ideas and thoughts. The greatest skill Shelia has given me is the insight and ability to link significant events in my life to objectively see how they have had a dominio effect on other aspects of my life. This has enabled me to look at ways to practically protect myself and be more aware of negative behaviours and ways to protect myself in the future. I feel happier within myself, more assertive and most importantly I want the best for myself and to be kind to my present and future self. Counselling is a journey and I am so grateful I have Shelia doing it with me. More...

I have been seeing Sheila since April this year after a traumatic bereavement. I was extremely nervous and anxious about bereavement counselling and didn’t know what to expect. However after my friend recommended Sheila’s services I was willing to try anything to help the pain. I can honestly say it is the best thing I have ever done, Sheila was so welcoming and put me at ease within minutes of meeting her. I was able to open up and relax and she made my feelings seem completely normal. It is a safe and comforting room with full privacy which helps with any anxiety you may have. Not just a testimonial but also a thank you - I went to see Sheila when I felt I was no longer able to cope and certain things in my life at the time, I have never been a good communicator, and things were starting to weigh heavy on me. I couldn't deal with it on my own any longer. Sheila was very supportive and encouraging in helping me identify the issues. My sessions with her have not only helped me gain an understanding of myself but, and for me more importantly, given me the tools to break the bad habits and understand what is important and how critical good communication is. As a result, I feel in control, grounded and confident in all parts of my life and most importantly, I feel capable of moving forward in my life - Thank you Sheila More...
