We did a course on Appraisals. I’ve never done them before and I wasn’t looking forward to the course but I really enjoyed it and found it very useful.

I feel more confident about doing Appraisals now.

Dealing with difficult people and situations course

We spent the day looking at different behaviour types and how to respond instead of reacting. We also learnt techniques to help us respond in an assertive way.
It was really good. Immediately useful, easy to understand and fun.

I attended a three-day Management course along with a number of my colleagues.

We covered a huge amount of content, most of which was new to me and very insightful. The pace and style of delivery was just right and with plenty of exercises I found it easy to remain engaged throughout.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the course to others.

I wish I’d done this training in time management and planning years ago. I can see lots of techniques that I can put to use straight away.

The telephone training we had was
excellent. We got to look at all aspects of a phone call including answering, conversations, repeating, summarising, holding, transferring, ending the call and leaving voicemails.

I did an introductory course in management with Training Works.

It was really useful and easy to understand. Plus it was great fun.

We did a mixture of theory, discussions and exercises to help us understand some of the key responsibilities of being a manager.

Working with Marylou from Training Works I have found her to be friendly, skilled and professional. I met Marylou when she was chair of a not-for profit networking group in Derby, she also ran some education sessions with the group, as a trainer myself I was very impressed with her skills and ability to manage meetings. I attended a 'Selling skills-advanced' training workshop with Marylou, her style was extremely professional but wonderfully warm and encouraging. The course and the materials were structured perfectly, with well defined segments that were easy to follow, meanwhile Marylou balanced this organised approach with plenty of opportunity to explore any thoughts and queries that I had throughout the day. Marylou took the time to ask the right questions and understand my requirements to ensure that her training hit the mark. I loved training as a manager and decided to make it a full time job by setting up Training Works in 2000.
