As a former member (moved away) Coach B and TGF is the only good things I remember about Atlanta. In spite of the whiney little reviews from people who can't operate the door and others who apparently can't afford to pay for quality training, if you are serious about getting in shape, ready to stop making excuses and want long lasting results this is the only place to be. As an native Atlantan , I’ve been to every gym on the north side over the years but TGF and Coach B provided the skill, knowledge and professionalism that I needed. TGF is not like the “big box meat markets” where the posers throw weights and spend their workout flexing in the mirrors and talking on their cell phones. If you looking for something harder, tell the TGF coaches to push you more and get ready for the workout of your life. Coach B and his staff know their stuff and if you can take the heat, your friends/family will notice. The community, friendship and accomplishment from TGF will drive you to never miss a workout. This is not your ordinary sweat shop. The trainers are friendly and motivated to make you work! The small group classes are fun and energetic. The smaller class sizes allows for more accountability and the staff is very knowledgeable on how to get the most out of the time spent. You can go anywhere and say you 'worked out' - but come her to work out smarter and efficiently. If you feel lost in the crowd at a larger gym, or find yourself leaving without accomplishing what you set out to do because of to many bodies in the way; the training ground is a perfect intimate, stress free, motivating zone. Having a Fitness lifestyle has helped me a lot with my emotional struggles like :depression,anxiety and stress For me exercise works like therapy. I joined Training Grounds Fitness a year ago and I absolutely loved it. The minute you get in, you will feel the high energy of the trainers, the group training is fun and effective, if you prefer small classes are opt!!You will also find amazing people with the same goals as yours and soon enough you will have a bunch of new friends. I joined this gym 3 years ago to do some rehab work after shoulder surgery. I couldn't have imagined the results I would achieve. I have gained muscle and lost weight. This wouldn't be possible without a great staff and a great location. I have gone from 'I will never work out' to a regular 3 X week. The only reason I don't come more often is my travel schedule. When I do travel, I send pics of my hotel workout room, and get a workout routine texted back in minutes!! More...

I like the team training. The classes keep me motivated and interested in working out. As we get older it is very important to stay fit. I recommend this location as you will never have to workout alone and the class will keep you focused for an hour. The trainers are very knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve been working out here for almost 3 months. The changes in my physique are noticeable but more noticeable is my can-do attitude. Each day is a different workout. And they are challenging. The trainers and members are all so supportive and encouraging. I’ve attempted and done exercises here I have never done in my 30+ years of working out. THANKS to Andrea McCarley's AMAZING patience and expertise in personal training I have found a a gym that actually makes me feel wanted. My consistency is lacking and Andrea and the staff ,along with the members are very encouraging. This facility has all you need and most importantly, encouragement. I have had a rough few months with getting to the gym on a regular basis.Knowing I am not JUDGED makes it easier to 'start over" again. I know I will never be a "gym rat" nor do I want to be--Training Grounds Fitness tailors your needs to "YOU"-- being 55+ I know I should not be doing certain exercises and Andrea and Branigan will ALWAYS have an alternate plan and NEVER gives me a hard time about it. If you are looking for a change in 2018 I HIGHLY recommend this boutique gym. You never know who you may reconnect with-- I joined a few years ago and found an ole College Sorority sister that I had not seen in YEARS, now we have reconnected and have a new friendship because of the gym! Just get in here and sweat! That is what the gym is for, right? This place is more than that. It has a nice selection of equipment, and the people you meet soon become friends and families. It took me a long time to get up the courage to just call up TGF, but when I spoke to Branigan, he made me feel really comfortable about coming in for an evaluation. Its been such a positive experience from the get go; I'm addicted! Branigan has been more than I could have ever wished for in a trainer. I have never worked out like this ever and he believes in me more than I believe in myself. We're working on that. He pushes me to be the best that I can be and I trust him with my training. He is always mixing the work outs up so that they are never the same. He has improved my strength and tone tremendously, and my confidence to keep working on my overall health and well being. In addition to Branigan, the entire TGF staff is super friendly and always around to help if needed. I have enjoyed meeting all the members and have made several new friends. I like the small and intimate atmosphere for working out. I would highly recommend TGF! I love it!! More...

I love Training Grounds Fitness. I started coming here in May of this year, and stayed not only because I could see the results, but because I love the feel of the gym, and the attitude of all the trainers, (and members), here. They are all very encouraging and supportive in addition to being very knowledgeable about correct form/movements and diet/nutrition. Many gyms have a one-size-fits-all approach to fitness, but here you get individualized attention for your specific fitness level, needs, and goals with no judgment. I have never done exactly the same work-out twice here, and that is another reason why I look forward to every class – your workout will be unique, but you can always expect that same great feeling of accomplishment when you are done! After 3 months in I can tell y’all about this place. It's not just a gym, it’s a training facility, it's a community with great environment and awesome people. I Love all the trainers, they know their stuff and they pay attention to everyone, correcting form, modifying workouts and even giving tips about nutrition. I love this gym! I'm the kind of person that needs a reason to get to the gym, because Lord knows I won't do it on my own. Training Grounds group training classes and personal training do that for me. When I walk in the door or in a class, people know my name and it gets me excited to workout. For the right person, TG is awesome for the right person. It is certainly not a big box popularity place. Training Grounds is my home away from home. All of the members and trainers are very supportive and encouraging. They truly care about each member and want you to meet your personal goals. They tailor everything to your needs helping you attack workouts and exceed your own expectations. The manager, Branigan helps you with diet adjustments (if you need help) and advice, helping you meet your goals in all areas. An incredible, hidden gem off of McGinnis Ferry and Windward. The trainers are knowledgeable, results oriented, customer-centric and friendly. I have a clinical care background and can attest to the competence of these trainers. The trainers are proficient in accommodating all skill sets and ages. They train adolescents, young adults and older adults seamlessly. They are very attentive during sessions in order to mitigate poor form/technique that can lead to injury. By far the best 24 hour gym I've ever been a part of. Highly educated and skilled staff are consistently present and providing any help you may need with the equipment offered(which is easy to use, and new) or concerning your membership. I have been a part of this gym for a few months now and have zero complaints. It's never crowded nor messy, the staff keeps the bench's and machines clean, and they seem to offer a variety of fun programs for whoever is interested in group workouts or personal training. Updated: The door situation has almost been 100% fixed (still cases from time to time) so I've upped my rating.pros:-lots of unique equipment, in good condition-can add own equipment to the mix-many striking bags (standing, heavy, speed, takedown)-not crowded especially for night time trainingA good gym but these are improvements that can be made:cons:-Poor communication with customers - unless you reach Branigan nothing will be accomplished, no notes, no call backs. -Don't teach their customers or even trainers to put things back after they used them so the gym is usually in state of disarray by end of day. This is a bad culture to keep going. Bands at pullup bar area, weights loaded, equipment from group training lying around - this is extremely inconsiderate to other gym members. Put a sign up to return equipment. -no dip station-no squat rack----original 1 star post---I have been at Training Ground/Bodyplex for almost 2 months.. and unfortunately this 24/7 gym has had constant problems with their doors. I have been unable to train at least 6 various times due to their technical issues. This would be understandable - if they showed some concern for their customers who can only use the gym at late hours when it is not staffed. It is very difficult to hear back from anyone. I have even left messages and never had them returned.. promised call backs not returned.With that said - I know this gym has a lot of potential and if their service improves I hope to change my review. For now I would strongly encourage anyone to avoid this place. More...

Training Grounds at Bodyplex Alpharetta is not your typical gym. This is the one gym that you can attend and not feel intimidated by the people around you. Everyone is here to help you attain your goals. Whether it be the butt kicking workouts from the trainers or the fellow members joining in on a little friendly competition. Someone is always there to motivate you and keep you moving in the right direction. The classes are always changing so that you never feel like you're doing the same workout over and over. They also have a heart rate monitor system that connects to the gym which allows each member the opportunity to make sure they're pushing themselves hard enough but not too hard at the same time. I have been a member here for over a year and I have seen the results and continue to see results, so if you're looking for a gym this is the place where you will be known by your name and not by a number. I can't say enough good things about this facility. Very knowledgeable staff and always eager to help. As a former Marine looking for a challenge, I met my match at the Training Grounds. Once you step into TheTraining Grounds at Bodyplex Alpharetta, you'll know this is the place for you! From your initial greetings by some of the friendliest faces this side of Disneyland, you round the corner into what looks like a circus training room.
