What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I work best when I have got to know my customers a little, this allows me to get a bit more creative with the session and create a photo session designed for my individual clients. Recently I shot a family on a giant tree swing off Diablo mountain, it was so much fun!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
It's always good to think about what kind of images you like and how you want to create the memories during my shoot. This helps to ensure that we all work to get what you are looking for from your images. What kind of location would suit you....formal, relaxed, fashion etc.
What do you love most about your job?
I love working with people and capturing them when they are relaxed, looking their best, with a little of their character on show. I love creating the environment to capture their natural expressions and I love it when my clients love their images...Yay!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always loved photography and am from the UK originally so had an opportunity to start a business when we relocated here in the East Bay. I love working for myself and it is a great fit for me!
