Visited here on Saturday for an 18th birthday lunch. The food was excellent. We all chose from the set menu. I started with asparagus, smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce. It was gorgeous. This was followed by charred rump. I had asked for medium rare and that is what I got. Finished with berry cheesecake. Excellent food with great service from the staff. My only criticism was that it could have been warmer in there. The sash windows let the draught in despite rolled throws placed on the window sill. More...

I would definitely recommend the Townhouse for any type of celebration. I took 28 friends for lunch to celebrate a birthday and every single person loved the Townhouse - the food was great, the garden was lovely and the staff very attentive. I can't fault the whole experience. Ellie was so helpful when we were organising the lunch and I had every confidence that it would be exactly as planned .... it was, and more. Organised a surprise birthday meal for my sisters 30th, for a large group. Ellie was very helpful in helping organising everything that I asked - nothing was too much trouble. The waitresses were lovely and the food was great. I even brought my own birthday cake in and they kept it in the back until the appropriate time and even added sparklers to the cake when they brought it out.
