I use Total Care Housekeeping whenever I am in a pinch and need help. I appreciate that I can schedule anytime without a contract. It is easy to text Carmen and she responds promptly and can usually fit me in with a few days notice. Mayra has cleaned my house several times and does an amazing job. I am overly picky about cleaning and she is a keeper for sure . I have also known Carol for years and she is the nicest woman with a great work ethic. I have been using Total Care for over a year now and been very pleased with the service. I recommend Total Care to everyone. In fact, I paid for my daughter-in-laws house to be cleaned by them as a birthday gift. She loved the service she received as well. I've been using Total Care for 4 to 5 years and am very pleased when I've had certain cleaners. Some are not quite as attentive to my requests, (usually the younger, less experienced workers) but the very best one is Rhonda, who has been my regular cleaner now for 4 years after I specifically requested her. She aims to please and doesn't seem to mind specific requests. She's patient with the loving but enthusiastic greeting by my dog too and is very patient and kind.! I contracted to have my home deep cleaned. This company does not like to talk to their customers but instead prefers text messaging. Getting the appt time was a hassle. First it was 9am, then 11am, then the day of the clean I was texted before 7am to see if they could come at 9am. They came at 11:45am after I said I needed to stick to the 11am time. The price kept changing as well so the day the came I had no idea I was going to be charged $300 for 2 girls to spend 5 hours just cleaning, not deep cleaning. I even tipped both girls $20 each because I had no idea what they were told to do before they came and I didn’t want to appear like a jerk to the employees. Here is the text message I sent this morning. ———————————————————— “Hi! I am just now slowing down from a rather busy week. I just wanted to let you know that there are things I am not happy with in the "deep" clean I thought I was getting. Monday was a day that seemed to drag on forever while they were here and frankly I did not have any energy left by the time they left to address the issues. Nor was I willing to pay any more money then the $300 I wrote my check out for. My house was cleaned for $300 but not deep cleaned as I asked for. Here is a list of some things I have found over the past week. 1. Every mirror in my home was left with some form of film on it. 2. No furniture polish was used on the wood furniture. 3. Items were not moved to even dust. 4. Inside windows were not done. 5. Baseboards, door frames and ceiling were swiped with a feather duster but not wiped down with cleaner. 6. Shower in upstairs master bath was left with soap scum and dirt within the door. 7. Stairwell banister and loft bannister was not cleaned. 8. Wet bar floor was not cleaned at all. 9. Mini blinds (which are larger wood slats) were feather dusted but not wiped down. 10. All my beds were made but the pillows were all switched around which I found odd. 11. I had them clean the parkay on the stairs before they left which they did not originally do. 12. Door handles, light switch covers were not cleaned. All in all $300 was to much to pay for a general cleaning. I had to put in my own time addressing and actually cleaning all these areas which was what I thought I was paying for. I hired your company because my doctor told me I could no longer use chemicals to clean my home. Yet here I have been over the past week using glass cleaner, furniture polish and a host of other cleaning supplies to do it myself. While the reviews on the nextdoor site were favorable which prompted my contacting your company, I unfortunately have not been happy with the outcome of what I asked for.” **UPDATE** Today Monet came out and actually deep cleaned my house which was what I first contracted for.
