Update!!!! It’s been three weeks I still have not got my money refunded like they promised!! Do your research people!!! On their website they only show the good reviews look beyond that and you’ll see the truth! !! I would absolutely never recommend Top Local Maids Juliana was absolutely awful! I bought a deep cleaning service for my mom as a Christmas present first time it was canceled due to Covid completely understandable I had no problems with that! After rescheduling the appointment I was sent an email completely changing the time of the appointment Giuliana claims she called me multiple times however she did not! When I called her the day of the service she would not even let me speak she kept talking over me she was 100% completely rude terrible customer service! She claims to have given me a refund people but yet she has not! Dive deep into your research and read the reviews they only show the good ones there are many many bad ones I wish I would’ve done more research before hiring them needless to say I clean my moms house myself I lost my deposit of $160 and I would never ever recommend Top Local Maids!!!!😡😡😡 More...

I bought a deep clean for my mother for Christmas I was very excited about this!
Top Local made definitely gives you the runaround trying to make appointments and then they change them after two attempts I canceled my service by them. I am now out $160 and when I called to cancel speaking with Giuliana was it awful she would not let me speak consistently talked over me was very very rude so now I am out $160 and I cleaned my mom‘s house myself and probably did a better job than they would I absolutely would never ever ever ever ever ever recommend Top Local maids!!!!!!!!!!

This company is awful! They quoted me $680 for a "deep clean". I agreed and went ahead with the service because we were on a time crunch and they could fit me in. The crew arrived 2.5 hours late saying they had car trouble (whatever). The 3 women that finally arrived to clean seemed very nice. I ran a couple errands and came back 2 hours later. Noticed the floors did not look clean, there were crumbs from my kids breakfast and other dirt still on the floor. I asked them if they had washed the floors and they said they did, but they could wash again if I wasn't happy. So they brought out the mop, which was a damp hand towel tied loosely to a broom. I was in shock that this is what they use to clean floors. It's absurd, they smear all the dirt around. Gross!! Juliana from the office called me and asked why I was unhappy and I told her that this is an unacceptable way to wash the floors, she responded "this is how we wash floors". That's it, no apologies. I was disappointed to say the least and excused the 3 women from my home. I can clean better with one hand tied behind my back and my eyes closed. That is not the worst of it... After they left I went to my dresser and I noticed my diamond earrings that my Grandmother had given me were missing. I know they were there this AM and I never move them as they have always brought me good luck. They were nowhere to be found. I called Juliana, who did not believe me that my earrings were missing and she transferred me to Neylor. Neylor insisted his employees would never take my earrings and was appalled that I was accusing them of doing so, then proceeded to yell at me. I hung up with Neylor and called the police, they came out and made a report. As they were at my home, they were getting messages that Neylor was frantically trying to get a hold of them. That is sooo suspect!!! This company is not only a scam, but it employs thieves. BEWARE!!!!!!!!! This is so disheartening that there are people out there that will take what is not theirs. We had the worst experience with this company! Was charged $220 to set up appointment for service then got nothing but a run around as to when they would show up. This was an initial appointment for a new customer! Tried to cancel the appointment but was told we would not be refunded so we waited all day and 12 turned to 2-3 that turned to 3-4. This service is a complete scam. Please do not contact them and save your money. I hired them for a move-in deep clean of my house although my house was rather clean and I had cleaned all the floors myself after painting. I advised the representative of the size of my house and that two cleaners should be assigned. She assured me that one cleaner for 5 hours was enough as they are “properly trained” Against my better judgment I consented. I was proven right when in 5.5hrs the cleaner only cleaned 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and the inside of a refrigerator. There is no way that takes 5.5hrs!! I even asked the gal if she would be done on time and she said yes. At the end of the day she said she has to come back because she didn’t finish. I consented again. Then receive a call from the office that I will owe another $150 for her return bringing the total to $405. Unacceptable. I’m completely convinced they intentionally do not finish work so your left with half a job and forced to have them back and pay more. I highly caution anyone from using Top Local Maids (TLM). My experience is that they are running a scam. I had been regularly using a cleaning service and was looking to make a change.
In contracting with TLM they insisted that the first clean needed to be a deep clean (for $250.00) even though I stated that the house had been regularly maintained. They agreed to drop the price to $220.00. What they told me verbally on the phone re: what I could expect and what they sent me in writing was different. I as verbally told that since it was a deep clean there would be a minimum of 2 cleaners. They sent one. In scheduling on Nov. 13th, I’d stated that I needed to schedule the house clean by Nov. 20th at the latest as I was going to be leaving for out of town on Nov. 21st. At no time, either verbally or in writing or on their website, did they inform me that if the cleaning was not done to my satisfaction that there was only a 24 hour window in which they would return to make any corrections. What the website does state (and I quote), “Unlike any other business in this industry, at Top Local Maids, we take a different approach: If you’re not happy with the service, we’ll redo it until we get it right – 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee. Sure, some may take advantage of that to get a free redo, but we believe that putting a smile on our Customers faces, is the key to build a long term sustainable relationship.”
The website also states, “100% Satisfaction Guarantee. We'll always make sure Customers are 100% Happy with the Service or we'll redo the work FREE of Charge. No Questions Asked!”
In speaking to the owner’s spouse on the phone, she insinuated that I was looking for a free clean. I found this insulting. In first contacting the company with my concerns (on Nov. 21st), I stated that I did not want them to clean the whole house again, I only wanted them to clean the areas they missed. The owner’s spouse kept insisting that I missed the 24 hour window, which as I previously stated, was never informed of until after the fact. She also accused me of asking the house cleaner to complete additional tasks that weren’t covered by the deep clean. I will guess that since English wasn’t the first language of the cleaner they sent, she must have misunderstood. I never asked for any additional work to be done. The behavior of the person I spoke with from TLM was rude, interrupting and lacked listening skills. The only recourse she offered was to give me a discount on my next cleaning. I asked to speak with the owner and was told that he was unavailable until after the holidays. When I later sent her a copy of the website claims about 100% satisfaction guarantee, she did not respond.
This does not seem like good business practice. They insisted on charging me for a deep clean which I didn’t need in the first place, and then when the work fell short, they have failed to live up to their business promises as stated on their website. The website also lists the specifics of what is included in a basic clean, yet many of those items failed to be completed on my supposed ‘deep clean.’
I am not one to generally write reviews, much less a negative review, and have always taken the highly negative reviews written by others with a grain of salt. I have learned the hard way to pay attention to those negative reviews. And by the way, I should have trusted my gut when the housecleaner arrived (for a deep clean) with inadequate equipment and supplies – she did not have a mop or a vacuum cleaner, only an electric carpet sweeper. I have been scammed...charged $220 for what was maybe a $100 light clean.
Do not use Top Local Maids. Even their name is a misnomer. They are not local. They sent me a housecleaner that came from 2.5 hours away from my home. No wonder she didn’t arrive on time.

Absolute worst experience ever!!! I hired this company to come in and do a “deep cleaning” as I’m listing my home. I was quoted 7 hours, a crew of 2 would do the job, the total was $450 w/a $30 coupon. I initially felt the price was high but my home is pretty big so I agreed. I was very specific in what I wanted done. The poor experience with this company started very early on, my landscaper also showed up to work this day. He found my key still in the front door, the cleaner had forgot the key. Mind you, anyone could have walked by and taken the key, the cleaner would have never known. I called the office right away, to Juliana it was a simple mistake. Mind you it’s not her home not her key that was forgotten in the front door. Next, I arrived home at 5:15p the “crew” of 1 was still at my home. Not the 2 people I had been originally promised. He hand lined bags of trash on my front driveway which was tacky. I drove around the block assuming he was leaving, nope, still there, did a couple more circles around the block, still here, left to get gas, still here so I said screw it and just decided to come in with my children. I took a tour of my home, it looked as if not a single thing had been done!!!!!!! I called the office immediately. No answer. I emailed, asking for a return phone call as well as a refund. No response. Next morning, late morning I get a call with the only option of a redo. I argued for what seemed like forever, had someone from “Corp” email me. I guess a call was too much. Still couldn’t get a refund so I agreed to the “redo”. Fast forward, the following week the SAME man came back, alone. Experience was just as bad. I couldn’t have a conversation with the man because he didn’t understand/nor speak English. So of course I call the 2 people I’ve been working w/Neylor and Juliana. No answer. I emailed, no answer. I feel horrible for this man that they continue to send to clean. This company is a joke! I tried to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau but guess what?!?! They aren’t a member. I should have guessed that! In any case, I’m out $420 and now I still need the deep cleaning to be done. I’ve never been so disappointed, so disgusted with the results and experience of hiring out. We used Porch to hire a cleaning service as we moved into our new home. They made several promises about starting at 6AM and being done by 10AM so our moving company could have our stuff in at 11AM. They stated it would be 2 cleaners. In reality, one cleaner showed up and at 10AM was not close to being finished. Countertops werent cleaned and floors werent vaccumed. He also didnt have the right tool to clean our fans, so we had to run to home depot to buy it. He then tried to take it home with him. Maybe I shouldn’t complain about a company but I had my house inspection through a company called Elite Group Inspection. When completed, I received a free concierge service through a company called Porch . They called me and offered services of which I agreed to a “deep cleaning” from Top Local Maids. I was read something but received no formal contract. I paid $420 for what I thought was 8 hours. At no time was I aware or understood that this was a “Task Based” price. Meaning, when the cleaning was done of the tasks I listed, she could leave. For her, it was 5 hours! Not a bad deal for her and the company. So after a 20 minute phone argument with “Juliana”, who insisted she was right and I had agreed, I am deeply incensed with Top Local Maids. DO NOT USE unless you really understand their terms. I’m a dummy, I guess. Next time I’ll go to Home Depot parking lot for hiring help. And don’t use Porch unless you want to be inundated with phone solicitors. (Already taken care of that aspect!!! I requested a deep cleaning because I am selling my home. A guy shows up with a basket along with under a half full of fabulous in a bottle to deep clean a house that is 2506 sq. We left and came back within 35 minutes he was done at 1030. The base boards was not cleaned, walls not washed, doors not washed, laundry room half swept, washer and dryer hook up not cleaned. We were not provided an inspection before he left. I called all day to talk to the Julianna but her phone went to voicemail, but she ran my card for the payment though. Can't complain about the cleaning from a third party but I can sure complain about the bait and switch false advertising and the over charge. The original quote was up to $150.00. After arranging for the service the quote went up to $250.00. I reminded Julian that they also advertised a $30.00 discount. She agreed so the price went down to $220.00. I booked a move in cleaning and the job done was awful. The maids didn’t bring a vacuum, only a low quality small plastic hand held designed for bare floors. There was dirt and things all along the hard wood and the carpets did not look cleaned at all. After trying to get a hold of the service immediately they called back two days later and the only option was to re do the service the following day, which I couldn’t do since I work. I was hesitant when I called to try this agency, I had many bad experiences in the past. Two young women arrived at my home and to my amazement they were right on time. They wasted no time and took control. They were unbelievable They spend all their time as a great team and cleaned my home better than it's ever been.
