This company and staff are on target. A true "gem" which is rare! I had the pleasureto work with Tommy and Kho and his twoguys, Alex and Edwin this past week. Kho and team did an excellent job, speedyand fast, truly took the time to figure out my ikea furnitures to be reassembled. Super heroes!! My boyfriend and I moved from New Jersey to DC. We were moving a one-bedroom apartment. When my boyfriend talked to Tony on the phone he was very polite and it took two phone calls to set everything up. On the day of the move, three movers came with a very large truck with plenty of space for our stuff. The movers were professional and friendly. We used Tony's twice so far and both times they offered exceptional service, and very accommodating and polite as well which is far different than a lot of other movers I've used in the past. All my things were moved gently and carefully and nothing was damaged. Their prices are also very reasonable and they provide a flat rate which is so much easier than by hour. They even moved "extra" boxes for us as well which we really appreciated, so we tipped them a little more. Movers were very quick and efficient as well. I was recommended by one of my friend about Tony's moving. At first I was skeptical about what she said because it's too good to be true. I ended up give it a try and I am glad I did. Bravo Tony's - prompt, professional and extremely reasonable. We called up Tony's on very short notice and they were able to accommodate on the day we needed and in spite of the TON of roadblocks put up by our former condo management company, they were able to navigate all. Unfortunately these guys had to drag all of our stuff a good hike from the apartment, down the elevator then all the way through the garage which was too low to drive the truck into. They also dragged down all the furniture we were throwing away and got rid of it at the complex's disposal space a few blocks away. I recently moved across the country with Tony's. To be honest, they were a bit difficult to deal with over the phone, didn't disclose all of the parameters of their estimate until moving day, and they arrived at 7:30 AM for a move that was originally supposed to begin at 9 - more an issue for them than us, since our community didn't let them in until 8. The stuff they don't tell you upfront:Cash only. Our move was on a Sunday morning and they didn't tell us this until Saturday night, so it was challenging collecting the amount they needed with the banks closed.They didn't mention a box count in their initial estimate, but suddenly it became 20 boxes the night before.Their boxes are about 2/3 the size of a standard medium moving box in each dimension, so you can expect them to use roughly 3.5x the number you're expecting. We ended up paying about 10% more than we were quoted because it took about 50 boxes to move our lightly furnished 2 bedroom, and the aforementioned 20 box surprise right before moving day.However, despite the communication issues, they moved our stuff across the country and broke none of it in transit, not even some extremely fragile glass items (they did break a couple of things while packing). And while their final cost was higher than their estimate, the increase was relatively reasonable and given to us before the truck left.Given some of the horror stories I've heard with other movers, at least Tony's is honest and cares for your stuff. It took about 3 hours total. The team was professional, polite and wrapped my mattress and dressers in Saran Wrap for protection. I received estimates from five moving companies before I made a decision. Tony's Moving provided one of the more competitive prices. The cost was a very important factor, but reliable service is something you can't risk to disregard. Setting up the moving date was tough. not because of them but my closing deal coordination of current / new houses. I had to keep asking them for being flexible on the moving date, for my closing date was set only a couple of days before the reservation date. I was super anxious, because if the date had to be adjusted and Tony's moving was somehow booked up for that day, I am basically making my family homeless even if temporarily. Manager Kevin was VERY nice and accommodating with friendly words to ease my anxiety saying he understands how stressful it is and he would like to help. The date actually had to be adjusted but they managed to hold the schedule for me. One the actual moving day, team of 4 crews came 15 minutes late. Which is totally understandable considering the AM commuter traffic. It was raining hard, pretty much the whole day. They were soaked (I felt so sorry so I ended up moving some stuff myself to help out..although only not too heavy things..) but working hard and polite. And although I am far away from unpacking everything yet, so far I have not found any major damages. Only small things like a plastic hook was broken or something like that. I moved out of Jersey City on a rainy day — December 30, 2016 to be exact. My husband and I looked through quite a few options before landing on Tony's. He was very flexible in working with us to make such an inconvenient date work for us, while other companies were eager to upcharge as soon as they heard our requested date. We communicated with Tony via email; he was very responsive and accommodating as we were not only moving out of Jersey City, but also making a pit stop at my parents' house to pick up a Korean stone bed, heavy marble and everything. Tony set us up with Scott, whose crew not only arrived early, but also took care to double-wrap some of our items for added measure. Fantastic moving company. They were fast, reliable, responsive, super careful and very affordable. They wrapped all the furniture so well and carefully that there wasn't a chance anything could get scratched. They even went above and beyond in helping me uninstall and install some larger pieces of furniture.
