Tony is first and foremost a complete gentlemen. He is friendly, funny, approachable and relaxed, which really makes a difference on the most important day of your lives.

As for the photographs, they are amazing, he is clearly very good at his job. The way Tony managed to move around the various rooms going unnoticed for different angled shots during the drinks reception, speeches, dinner and party is testament to his experience, professionalism and his goal of making our special day, special.

The candid style of Tony's photography is exactly what we wanted and we couldn't have asked for more. We had many compliments from our guests on the day/night about Tony and this was well deserved. The multitude of choice in the photographs Tony sent us after the editing process was immense. Having the choice of the same photographs in various styles was also a great touch as everyone has their own preferences.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Tony as the photographer for your special day.

Thanks Tony

We are both thrilled with our wedding photos and will recommend Tony to all of our friends and family if they need professional photography in the future. Tony also did our engagement photo shoot within the cost agreed for our wedding photos and this really helped us prepare for our wedding day. Tony works with you to get the right photos that you want and has been very helpful throughout the whole process :) More...

Q&A

There are lots of secrets to making a great photograph - nearly as many secrets as there are photographers! .... They include:
• Get close - but don't disturb
• Shoot everywhere and always - shoot lots
• Notice the details
• Know and understand light
• Know and use your camera and equipment like they are an extension of you
• Release the shutter at the 'decisive moment'
However important these (and many more) secrets might be, I feel that capturing the moment - its feelings and emotions - is vital in making a wonderful photograph

Some Questions about a Wedding Project:
• Tell me about you - your likes, your passions etc. as well as your dislikes!
• Photos aside, what do you want your wedding to be like - what have you planned?
• What's most important to you about your wedding?
• Have you ever been part of a wedding, seen a wedding photographer in action, etc.? What was it like, is that how you would like me to be?
• Who are we making these images for?
• What would you like you photos to look like - size, finish, black-white/colour, realistic, romanticised, 'instagramed' etc.?
• How are you planning to use the images? - e.g. album, wall hanging, slide shows, framed etc.
• Are there some things that it is vital we make an image of?

Some Questions about a Portrait and General Projects:
• Tell me about you/your [family/job/client/etc.]
• Have you ever hired a photographer before?
• What's most important about your photographs, is there something special you want to capture?
• Who are we making these images for?
• What would you like you photos to look like - size, finish, black-white/colour, realistic, romanticised, 'instagramed' etc.?
• How are you planning to use the images? - e.g. album, wall hanging, slide shows, framed etc.
• Are there some things that it is vital we make an image of?

I believe creativity is at the heart of what it is to be human – expressing our visions, views and feelings about the here and now and how the future can be better. I love the pleasure and warmth that photography can bring, along with its power to challenge and motivate. My favourite subjects are people and their environment and I absolutely love to make images of them at their happiest ... although I also get a strange satisfaction from more ‘commercial’ product type styles!

One of my earliest memories was my Kodak instamatic camera and the pleasure of receiving the prints back through the post - along with the delight those prints often gave to the people I had photographed … sometime later now, after a career in senior leadership, I decided to revisit my creative photographic self and turn a passion into a business!

Over the last few years I have photographed portraits, weddings & christenings, products & commercial shoots, theatre & performing art productions, award ceremonies, sporting events and numerous landscapes – both near and far.
If you are attracted to my work on these pages and my website and would like to commission me, please get in touch - the ‘prices page’ on my website gives an idea of my general charges, but I am much happier putting bespoke packages together for clients so that I can really meet their needs.
I hope you enjoy my work here as much as I enjoyed producing it!
