What makes a great website?
Always design with the end user in mind, UX is extremely important in web design. A website is the digital representation of you and your company, perhaps before they have even met you in person. Therefore they need to walk away with confidence, with all the information they sought for and more, and an easy experience in doing so.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What type of business are you? What are your immediate needs? What are you hoping to achieve? Time frames. Budget. Working examples. Existing collateral.
Describe your creative process.
I do believe that every project requires its own process, but hopefully most projects won’t stray too far from the traditional steps of: Meet. Brief. Research. Concepts. Refine. Deliver.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
The more information the better, I like to really get to know my clients as well as their business. A clear brief is always helpful, but when building a brand that lies close to the heart of the owner, it’s inportant to get a real understanding of the whys and hows behind the face of the brand.
What do you love most about your job?
Not one day is the same. You get to work on a variety of projects, across a wide spectrum of brands and industries. I enjoy working on both print and screen.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Wanted to try something new and test myself. My job is fairly flexible in its nature, so why not take advantage of that?
