TK Surveying Group comprise of qualified and experienced Building Surveying and Construction experts specialising in Party Wall, serving London and the Home Counties.
As well as being experts in all aspects of party wall, our surveyors’ have vast practical experience in building surveying and construction which allows us to provide a solution-based approach to resolving disputes in a timely and cost-effective manner.

What do you love most about your job?
Building work by nature can be very intrusive and coupled with people’s homes and business being at the heart of the matter it's not surprising tensions are sometimes very high. It very satisfying being the voice of reason and being able to apply years of professional experience in order to resolve disputes, not only efficiently, but that are balanced and practical.
It’s important to remember that the surveyor’s role is to balance the reciprocal rights of one party to build and safeguard the adjoining owners property and the Award must reflect this.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Many party wall surveying services on the market are extensions to a general surveying practise or have limited 'real life' building surveying & construction expertise. They Talk the Talk but can they also do the Walk?
TK Surveying Group was borne of a genuine demand for experienced practitioners that are able to react to very tight schedules and dissect complex projects efficiently without compromising on service provision.

TK Surveying Group are proud to offer a dedicated service that is expert, efficient and effective.
We only deal with matter's pursuant to the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, this is not an add-on service to our practise & all of our practitioners are experienced building professionals & RICS degree graduates as minimum. We are active members of the UK's leading Party Wall Forum's and continue to undertake professional CPD to ensure that our expertise is kept current and relevant.

What qualifies me?

"An accumulation of over two decades of building & construction expertise allows me to draw from first hand experience and a successful career that has exposed me to a range of relevant functions, including:
- Property & Land Law; including boundary disputes
- Working with a dedicated legal team dealing with damage related claims
- Building defect analysis & remedial work - minor through to major projects
- Principle designer under CDM
- Project manage construction activities including specification of work
- CAD/BIM - including submissions for planning approval.
- Audit of cost & quality control
- Lead and develop a team and department of party wall surveyors
You will note all of the above mentioned are likely, and as worst case scenario going to be called on to determine and assess under a party wall appointment.
It's the lack of expertise offered by a number of counterpart's including those I've as client previously appointed (100's) demonstrates a clear demand for those with suitable experience BUT also able to expertly dissect and understand the 1996 Act"
As well as the formal education and first class honours degree and membership to leading bodies, my practical background in mechanical engineering also provides a pivotal string as I have real-life experience of 1000's of projects that allows me to understand the problems projects encounter over a life-cycle but more importantly allows me to focus on the most feasible resolution. I didn't choose to become a Party Wall Surveyor - It choose me.
