Was looking for a spot that served fresh, light food after all those loco mocos! Got the Thai pizza ($14) with tofu, cup of Tom Kha ($8), and the Combo Rolls ($10). The Thai pizza was really unique - super filling and large. I love me a cheese crust :) But keep in mind, the tofu made it kind of soggy. Combo spring rolls didn't come with the thick peanut sauce I'm used to - pretty thin and runny. Tom Kha was chock full of vegetables and very rich in coconut milk and fragrant flavor. There was waiting for a table and the food took a while to come but it looked like it was only the owner doing all the cooking. We were in Hilo for a few days and we definitely had to come back here twice. The first session I made the grim mistake of ordering my food spicy which sent me hurtling through the 7 layers of hell only to emerge a new man, baptized by the flames of the delicious mango curry. The server indicated she was impressed by my fortitude, and whispered to me that the group of old white men behind me were about to order spicy food as well. I didn't stay around long enough to find out, but I'm pretty sure they died a delicious death.The second session saw me choosing a medium spiced dish. Yummy food. We got a pupu. The chicken curry and a drink. Came out to $60. Ouch! For a lunch I thought that was pricey. But we had leftovers for dinner! Yay. Portions of curry are large and can definitely be shared. As for the pupu we got the avocado summer roll. Was really good. But we didn't need it. As The curry portion was so large. Probably the best Thai food in Hilo. I have never been disappointed at Tina's. Last week a group of 7 of us went for dinner, and ordered 5 different dishes to share. They were all fantastic, especially the Thai pizza with local alii mushrooms. We all left very full and didn't even manage to eat every bite. There is a blood orange and cucumber salad that is great, and the shrimp and broccoli is wonderful. The mint tea is very refreshing with the spicy food. We were very lucky to come here as the last customers of the night before they closed early and before a long vacationWe started off with spring rolls with avocado, and a huge mound of papaya salad. My daughter had the Tom Ka. Soup which was sweet and very full of ingredients . We ordered salmon and asparagus, Thai pizza ( almost like a masala Dhosa) with chicken and pumpkin , very messy but tasty. We also got panang curry with tofu which was spicy but good. The portions are huge and we should have ordered half ! We wish we had room for the mango sticky rice . My wife and I pulled into Hilo about 3 years ago nearly starving after a days worth of cliff diving/free diving at south point and this was the only place that was still open that looked good. We weren't all that pleased with the 30 minute wait (since we were extremely hungy) so we got a bunch of tacos in the meantime at some nearby mexican place. What a mistake! My wife made the smart decision and waited patiently for Tina's, but I ate all the tacos. We ended up finally getting a table, and when the food came we were amazed at just the sight. Everything on the menu looked great but when it finally came out I was amazed. The portions were huge, and the tastes were even bigger! It was our most memorable eating experience while on the island for a week. We ended up eating there three times in 24 hours if that gives you any indication (we regretted not getting some to-go). I am not usually a fan of thai cuisine (my fam dragged me here), but this is, by far, the best thai food i've ever eaten. Tina herself cooks every dish from locally sourced items, and although the ambiance is underwhelming (not ideal for large groups), this gem is a must-taste for ANYONE in the hilo area, especially vegetarians.

Oh Thai Fusion heaven!!! Delicious unqiue flavors. Love the Shrimp Thai Pizza! An amazing burst of flavors with spinach, shrimp, pumpkin, melted cheese and some Thai spice for that extra kick! Portions are HUGE and well priced.
