A disaster from start to to finish. Dilapidated van, turned up hours late and then made no effort to catch up, protected nothing so lots of damage including having to write off my large American style refrigerator, tumble drier just dumped in the garden. Avoid at all costs. Agreed to "work until it's done" according to the man on the phone.. This was not the case. Turned up 2 hours late with a van with only one working headlight - did two loads then said they had to stop as it was getting dark. Said they would come back the next week to finish the job - arrived with the van that had only 1 headlight. Refused to move the furniture... didn't install anything like they promised. Disaster start to finish. Took advantage of an elderly disabled woman. Tried to hold her stuff hostage, forcing to pay more for a job that they hadn't even completed. 1. So, nothing was protected, neither the furniture nor mattresses were put inside any form of protection - they simply hadn't brought any.
2. We paid the extra for packing - they didn't pack - they put things in boxes, lose rattling around, yes wrapped in bubble wrap, but even something in bubble wrap that is not secured in a box will move around and break, we had 6 breakages, but I was amazed that the glass flute from a hurricane lamp, which was place horizontally at the bottom of a box had not broken, last box out first in is all that saved it.
3. So we paid for storage, one mattress was obviously put in a plastic wrapper as they took it out of the van and put it in storage - but it was only slid over the top - I know this because the bottom side was open and the mattress was filthy.
4. When they delivered - they did not deliver any of the mattresses or the dining room table. They said - "Oh yeah because YOU had too much garage stuff we put those in another store box, and didn't collect them this morning, if YOU hadn't had so much garage stuff, that wouldn't of happened". Three times we were made to be a fault for them not bringing the mattresses - no one could move in for two nights because of this.
5. Whilst we were promised that the mattresses would be delivered the following day - at 15:00 I rang to find out where they were, again I was made to feel the one in the wrong, when told it should be tomorrow, and my 84year old infirm, partially blind and deaf mum could always sleep where she did the night before, I nearly lost it.
6. So we were finally told that because of the upset, we would get a refund. A month later, no refund so I emailed them, a week later no response to my email, so emailed again - then thought I should tell the world how rubbish this company is.
Being ex-military, I've moved house 14 times, by far this was the worst company I've ever had the misfortune to use.
I know they’re not the biggest, but to be constantly badgering you for payment BEFORE they even turn up is beyond the pale. So take my advice, go somewhere else

Please do not use !!!- would hate anyone to go through the trauma we did.

- Here until 11pm on main move day and still not completed
- completely under estimated job
- had to call the police as they held our goods "hostage"
- wanted payment before job complete
- Management extremely unprofessional shouting and swearing on the phone
- promised repayment for damages and compensation - now ignoring emails
- having to take legal action to reclaim costs due to their lack of response
- Would give zero rating if it was possible

I hope you find this review balanced and will enable you to make up your own mind whether it is worth using Tigers Removals.
My Completion date moved back 3 times in December and 3 times Tigers were able to accommodate my new date.
HOWEVER, on the day, Tigers arrived late as they had to do another job left over from the day before. Then they turned up with just a 7.5 tonne lorry and 2 guys when I had paid £900 for a 7.5 tonner, a Luton van & 3 guys.
Now to be fair to Tigers the 2 guys worked very hard and carefully. However my buyer failed to complete on time by 5pm and we could only exchange contracts by 5pm on moving day.(Thursday) and Tigers had only had enough time to move half of our stuff. So Tigers agreed to move the remaining half of our furniture the next available day which was Saturday.
We completed the next morning Friday. However on Saturday, Tigers turned up an hour late with just a large Luton van (maybe 3.5 tonne) & 2 guys. We agreed they would need to do a few runs to get all our remaining stuff moved. The distance to the new house was about 8 miles. We were also using both our large cars to transfer a lot of the smaller furniture on both the Thursday & Saturday.
So the 2 guys packed the 1st load of furniture but when they got to the new house I then got a call from Tigers office manager, Chris, saying he wanted £425 to unload the furniture and finish the job.
I was not happy as Tigers did NOT tell me there would be an extra charge for this Saturday job when I booked them on the Thursday. I told them I was unhappy that I was only told about the £425 once my furniture was loaded. I was being forced to pay almost 50% again to do the work I had already paid for.
I spoke to the owner of Tigers (Gary) who reduced the cost down to £350 but that still felt wrong AND i had to immediately pay it by bank transfer otherwise they told me they would take my furniture to storage. As a customer. Gary did also offer me a free use of a Tigers van in the future, but this did not excuse the feeling of being held to ransom.
I expect Tigers Removals to tell customers clearly what the costs are BEFORE they start work.
The 2 lads did 3 runs but because of the late start & the smallish van, they left us with still quite a lot of furniture to move by about 5pm. It took 4 of our family another 4 car loads to move the furniture left by Tigers.
Now I appreciate it was a Saturday & the 2 lads had home lives so it wasn't their fault but Tigers should have completed their contractual obligation which I had in writing, to move all my furniture.
Very unhappy with the way they have treated me as a customer, but I will let you make your own minds up

Avoid this company. Disgusting scam. I had a removal booked and they didn't show up. Told me that a van had broken down, but there were supposed to be 2 vans coming. No apology. Very rude. The van was 2 hours away when I called and they were late, if it had broken down then it means they just didn't bother to tell me they weren't coming. Clearly had too many jobs on. Absolutely disgusting that they can do this to people on the day they move house. Had to pay over the odds for help elsewhere and will be taking it further! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Tigers subcontracted my house removal job to another firm who were cowboys and let me down on the removal day with a shoddy van that broke down on arrival and two inexperienced lads who didn't know what to do about it. Moving is stressful enough without having to try to find another removal company on the day we were meant to be moving! Unfortunately google only allows me to leave 1 star and not 0 stars. Booked this company to move out of a 3 bed semi and with the expressed agreement we had to have the house clear for 1pm. They only sent 1 van and 2 men when i had booked 2 vans and 4 men. The staff sent were very rude when I asked them about this and threatened to walk away. When i phoned the office to complain and ask where my 2nd van was the chap was very rude and swore at me, his name was Chris. After much arguing and after me requesting half my money back he begrudgingly sent another van. The staff were then rude to the buyers of my house as we were not clear in time. After the move I noticed damage to my wardrobes and black stains on the mattresses. and my late mums wedding jewelry was missing I have phoned the office 3 times to ask for a claim form and the owner is aggressive and rude. The theft is now in the matter of the police. I only wish i had done my research on this company, this isn't the first time they have been rude, broke things or items have disappeared. "STATEMENT"
Regarding the Simon Jones review:
We are a little perplexed by the review that was left by Simon Jones on 19th April 2018.
We have not done any work for a Simon Jones, and defiantly have not been contacted by the either the customer or by the Police regarding stolen items. Chris has not spoken to any customers regarding jobs where the incorrect amount of crew or vehicles have turned up. We are therefore a little confused on how this review has even arrived. We have had the same review put on our Facebook page by it is not an actual a valid persons page.
We do not understand why someone would slander a family run business, that has nothing but good reviews on Google, and an average rating of over 4.
Regarding Jackie Kitchen review:
With regards to the reviews over the last few weeks, we would like to make the following statement.
Due to the nature of the business we find that 99% of jobs run smoothly, but there are also times that jobs run over the allotted time slot, due to problems with a previous move. As a company we try to rectify this to the best of our abilities but due to unforeseen circumstances, this can make the rest of the jobs in that day become late.
As far as items been stolen, we have NOT stolen the picture, and we have returned this item since. We feel this is an over reaction, as we spoke to the customer on several times and assured her that the item would be returned post heist. It is in our best interest NOT to steel from customers, and if we find any staff doing this they are immediately let go.

The removal team of two turned up at 10.45 as promised and they worked swiftly and carefully. By 12 they were packed and gone and arrived in Doncaster at 2. 30. Unpacking went smoothly and quickly. Had a great experience with this company. We planned to move house at 11am and was let down by another removals company who failed to turn up at the agreed time.
We called Tiger Removals to see if they could help instead, and they were not only polite and willing to help but actually had a van to our location within 30 minutes of calling them.
When they arrived the man they sent was friendly and more than happy to offer and hand loading up our furniture and boxes. I was also happy that the large items were strapped in the back of the van which protected them from any damage. Taking into account we called them with 0% notice given they turned up ready to work within less than 30 minutes, credit where its due!

They drove 45 minutes to get to our house, worked damn hard for hours to load the vans, drove for 3 hours to our new house, worked damn hard to unload the vans then drove another 3+ hours home.
