I have been using doctor Thurman services since 2012, hes a very knowledgeable understanding vet who put his patients and clients 1st. His staff if very knowledgeable and kind his facilities are quite, calm and clean. I'm glad to have found a vet that knows what hes doing and how to handle the animal in a way they they feel comfortable and safe. Great, amazing vet. They moved out of a hole in the wall location, now it's hard to get a quick appointment, sad. Sometimes I need same day or next from old animal emergencies, and they're booked.

Everyone was so kind. Had been taking my 14yo pet dog there several times throughout and my other dogs. I had to have her put to sleep. Dr Thurman is knowlegeable with greyhounds. I have brought two of my greyhounds to him and he has been able to treat them properly. One of them recently had a toe amputated. The stitches are beautiful and have held well. The original binding did not cause any swelling. The clinic is clean and the rooms are big enough for several dogs or large families. The staff are friendly.My only concern is the waiting room. My usual veterinarian was double booked and suggested to call vets near me for my older dog that had a recent and sudden change in condition (and my family was scheduled to leave for 2 weeks). Dr. Thurman's office got us in same day, 1 1/2 hours after I called. I am truly amazed with the office, the wonderful staff, all the care and especially Dr. Thurman. They were fast, efficient, professional and compassionate. I am a Nurse Practitioner and was truly impressed with their whole operation. I took my 4 month old pit lab mix in to get his stiches removed wich they did for free even tho the 24 hour emergancy vet did the stiching up. And also to get neutered and shots a second visit. And he used to be a handful around other dogs. Trying to be protective. They were non judgemental and so sweet to my pit mix and knew just how to work with him. He is not about 2 and a lot better behaved. But the emergency vet was on edge and he wasn't walking anywhere his back leg was opened up cut bad from the fence he didn't quite make it over.and I was holding him the whole time the emergency vet was so nervous that they double dosed him ( I was told by counter lady) with tranquilizers, I had to watch his breathing all night and keep waking him up throughout the night. He has always been great around people even when he was hurt. He is scared of emergence vet building, but excited when we go to thurman. He even took a pic with Sam for me to give to the pit spay and neuter program. Also when I took my mom's schnauzer in to thurman and he had a adverse reactions to the rabies shot (he was over 10 yrs old), he opened back up after hours and took care of him and didn't charge anything extra. I highly recommend him especialy for people that have had bad experiences with other vets that have been breed judgemental. More...

Been a loyal client ever since he gave us a second opinion on our puppy who was having seizures (who we were told by another vet that he would need to be put down) and gave us the correct diagnosis, got him the correct meds, dailed them in and he is the best little dog. He's also gone above and beyond with our kids 4-H animals and dogs. Dr. Thurman has a good old fashioned work ethic and intuition and understanding that makes him a very good vet. I have taken all 3 of my dogs to Dr. Thurman and all three of my visits have been excellent. Dr. Thurman and all his staff members have been very helpful, polite, and professional. I found a 6 week old puppy on the side of my house and took him into Dr. Thurman's office yesterday after calling around and getting estimates on how much it would be to get the puppy checked out and find out more information on him. Dr. Thurman's office was the most reasonable and closest to my house. Dr. Thurman and his staff weighed him, listened to his heartbeat and breathing, dewormed him, and gave him the first of his vaccinations. He told me the puppy may have worms and turned out being right when my puppy pooped out a worm this morning. He also ended up giving me the "Good clients" discount as he did with my other dog. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this vet to everyone; nice staff, reasonable prices, and overall really good visits! More...
