This was a great spot. You have to try the Rum punch, it was made with pure love and served with dried pomegranate.  . The Jerk/Honey wings as an appetizer were 100%perfect. My party of 4 ordered everything from the jerk ribs to the salmon. We had a great time! More...

I visited Three Little Birds over a month ago during a trip to London, and since I am still craving the food and drinks I had there I figured it was about time I left a review. The vibe: Pleasant, intimate but not confined, well decorated and appropriately lit. It's the type of spot that would be equally great for a date night, Sunday brunch, or a birthday dinner with friends. The food: Where to start? The food is served tapas style (small plates), allowing you to taste and share a wide variety of dishes. This was a huge benefit, since everything I tasted on the menu was fantastic. Some callouts include-  Jerk chicken burger - my favorite, and unlike anything I've ever tasted before. My father is Jamaican and I grew up in NY, so I'm not new to Caribbean food. This dish was familiar enough to be comforting with a novel enough delivery to be exciting and new. The chicken was moist and well seasoned, and even the bun was warm and soft. Amazing. - Mac and cheese- well executed, super cheesy and not overdone. - Plantain- soft and sweet and perfect - Curry goat - tender and flavorful, great with the rice and peasThe menu changes seasonally but lamenting dishes being phased out would be missing the point. Everything I had was great and I'm confident that whatever the chefs think up will also be fantastic. Drinks: Also very good. Loved the rum punch and another rum drink I had but don't remember the name of. All around I had a great meal here and actively daydream about comimg for both brunch and dinner during my next trip to London. Better yet, they can open a location in NY! More...

I took the recommendation of a couple of cousins of mine who have traveled thru London. I must admit that the cuisine is very authentic. I have in-laws that are Jamaican. I wish the portions were larger but that's just me being greedy. More...

Warm environment and wonderful customer service from the moment we walked through the door - until the time we left. The staff were pleasant and attentive and went above board to accommodate our baby boy. The owner herself even warmed his food (that we had brought with us) in a saucepan and served it in a little bowl, as they do not use microwaves. This was a lovely touch! More...

Tables were very close together but the other clientele were cheerful and we all laughed about it. Food was fantastic and we ordered more plantain because it was absolutely delicious. The rum sour and the daiquiri were fantastic! Can't wait to go back. More...

Rum Kitchen’s gas was down so the doorman recommended this little spot..... the food and cocktails were fabulous and so was our waitress. .... it was the other waitress who tried to interfere with our situation and annoy our waitress as to why they don’t get five stars More...

I got the New Market as takeaway and was pleasantly surprised at the flavour; the coconut really shown through in the creamy greens and the bammy was light and completed the callaloo nicely! However, I agree with the other reviewers that the portion and price don't match as £9 for that small dish was just too much. Then again it tasted far better than the food I had at Zoe's Ghana Kitchen earlier that night! More...

The atmosphere was lively with music that added to the buzz but wasn't too loud. The menu was clearly Jamaican inspired but with a significant European influence to it as well. Overall the food was good plus they had a wide selection of rum cocktails which were very welcome! More...

Jamaican tapas style restaurant in Brixton. This place is great! I'm Jamaican so a bit critical when it comes Jamaican cuisine. This place is authentic in taste, I had the half chicken with hard dough bread, omg the rice n peas is everything. Lastly but just as important, awesome customer service. The owner, April is so accessible, so connected, so humble, and so kind ! New favorite place in this area. More...

We went on Thursday 2nd Feb to celebrate a friends birthday, chicken wings starter and the steamed fish. The food was excellent. The spices on the wings gives it that "moreish" taste you have to remember to leave room for other courses. The steam fish was excellent, Presentation, taste, sides and a great touch by April to stick a birthday candle on the birthday boys fish accompanied by a hearty render of "Happy Birthday" by the "3 LB Family" GREAT night out. thoroughly recommended ...April I still think you need to get some Guyanese Rum More...

Firstly I never this place existed and might have just walked past it but I'm glad this little stretch. Is getting more attention by businesses. Although we had a nice jerk chicken slider, I felt the meat was almost too soft rather than being meaty like most burgers you try. Maybe it's because it was a slider with a lesser proportion of meat that affected the way the texture was. Either way I liked the spicing though. Just needed more. An invitation for me to come back i'm sure. What I like most apart from the fabulous chilli mojito which literally fired up as a boozy spectacle was the staff who was so friendly and made sure the atmosphere was fun and vibrant. I think that's what gives the best bars the edge. And when I say bar that is what it felt like to me in its dark night setting in there, though I'd be interested to come back for a proper meal.Overall it was a good introduction to what Three Little Birds are about. Wow...this Jamaican rum bar serves the spiciest cocktails I've ever had! Good thing, I like spice...but if you don't, maybe ask the bartender to tone it down a bit. I had the Chilli Mojito to start with, and it was full of great flavors. For food, I tried the Jerk Veggie Burger, which I'd also recommend. Just the right amount of spice and the red onion chutney added some nice texture. A friend had the Beef Jerk Burger, and she said it was good as well. There were loads more things on the menu that looked great...I saw a few plates being brought out to other patrons, and it all looked delish. The staff and atmosphere were great(always a big plus in my book). The bartender even stopped to ask how our drinks were as he walked by my friend and I. Good decor, chill music and comfortable seats. The next time I'm out in Brixton, I'd definitely stop by Three Little Birds....maybe next time it'll be during the day so I can get some coffee and cake! Only tried the free vege burgers and rum cocktail from the event I was at but they were both very nice. It's the first time I've ever had a cocktail that was more spicy than my food but is also the first time I've ever enjoyed a cocktail containing rum.  My lips were still tingling and burning over an hour later! I will likely go back to try out the rest of the menu. More...

I can't rate this place enough! Eat there on Easter Monday just gone. Despite being short staffed (as most places were closed that day) the service was warm and fairly prompt. Literally everything food and drink wise was good. Had the Curry Goat with Rice & Peas, Jerk Chicken Burger with sweet potato fries and Plaintain. Every mouthful was so scrumptious. The plaintains were to die for. I had to ask the owner what was in them and she sweetly said she'd have to kill me if she told me, lol. The rum signature cocktail was great too. I've told all my friends and will definitely be my go to place to eat authentic Carribean food in Brixton. Other places (not mentioning no names but very close by with Turtle in the name) has absolutely nothing on Three Little Birds. Tell your friend to tell a friend! Well done and I hope this eatery stands the test of time! More...

Great little Caribbean restaurant in Brixton. Lovely, friendly family ambience, which gave the place real authenticity, which is lacking in soo many of the big chain restaurants out there. Happy hour cocktails, were lovely, and their house special Jamaican Rum Punch was on point too. Dined in a small group of 4, and the food was delivered promptly, was tasty and was enjoyed by all. Nice reggae music playing the background, loud enough to provide great atmosphere, and still easy to hear conversation at the table. The owner was lovely, very pleasant and attentive, when taking our order. I am all for supporting small local businesses, and wish April & Three Little Birds much success in the future. Definitely would recommend it as a place to go, and intend to visit again. More...
