Friendly staff and good beer, the one we ordered ran out and the barman refused to let us drink substandard beer. A very nice village pub with a good menu. Well worth a visit. Plenty of parking. More...

Lovely place for a drink with my husband this afternoon. Excellent range of ales, beers and wine.Dog... and horse friendly! !Facilities are welcoming and clean. Love this pub. Good quality like the other ones that I know of in the St Arnold group (the Lion in Earls Colne and the Five Bells in Colne Engaine ) More...

Really good food, the children's portion was essentially an adults portion on a smaller plate, which my son devoured (it was a Sunday roast). The chocolate brownie I had for desert was really tasty.I would say the only down side was the price, not the cheapest, but that being said I will be going back again. More...

Just had easily the best burger I've had in the past 10 years! 7 ounces of freshly minced beef, medium cooked to perfection, nice slice of melted stilton on top, perfectly toasted bap, great chips on the side. All simple things - so why so hard to get it right everywhere else? Someone in that kitchen knows exactly what they are doing! More...

Absolutely amazing Sunday lunch. Best roast beef I have had in ages! Good choice of ales. Very sensibly the tables with small kids were all in one area, so me and my older kid were able to enjoy our meal. I would highly recommend this pub.
