⚠️ATTENTION⚠️ My friend Orinta who is 18, has been in a coma for a few weeks from collapsing at work 16th June and is being held in St Thomas’ Hospital, Westminster. The cause of the collapse was due to high blood pressure. However, the cause of the coma is still unknown to her friends & family including her mother! The hospital said that it’s up to the police to get the CCTV footage of her fall to see if she hit her head but without there being a crime involved the police said they don’t have authority over the situation meaning it’s back to the hospital to get the footage. Doctors have been pressuring her mother to agree to disconnect her from the life support and if she doesn’t comply she would have to pay to keep it on. Her mother has tried to bring in a Private doctor TWICE but the hospital disapproved this! The hospital is withholding all the results from scans and exams as it has been ‘missing’ while promising her mother that she will get the results but still have not all while trying to take her off life support. A doctor did say after a scan that her brain was still partially alive but other than that verbal report no other substantially result has been shared. So it makes absolutely no sense to take her off the machine. The first day Orinta was admitted, they gave her a nurse on her first day of working to look after her. Orinta had a high temperature and the nurses words were “maybe put cold towels on her” her mother asked about medication to calm her temperature down and the nurse said “tomorrow” that’s negligent right? The doctors of this hospital has made it known that she cannot be transferred into another hospital. The ethical code is not being followed. There is plenty of ethical issues which are occurring such as withholding information about her scans. With your help I’m hoping we can get enough awareness to this specific case because time is running out. It just seems like they’re not handling it with actual care for the mother or the patient as there’s still a chance her current condition can turn around. So today I had three wisdom teeth removed under general anaesthetic.. they had to be cut out. But I wanted to share with everyone as to how amazing their level of care and service is they really looked after me from the moment of the consultation down to the very end. And I was extremely nervous and I don’t really like taking a trip to the dentist haha ! Before starting the surgery I had a lovely lady talking to me who was extremely friendly and so warm and caring. And at the end I had a really friendly nurse who really helped me recover and come back round.
