THIS IS IT STUDIOS

As a photographer myself, when my son was starting to plan his wedding I was nervous about who they would pick as their wedding photographer. As you can guess, the photos are pretty important to me. They chose Isabella from This is it Studios. When I looked at Isabella's website I could see knew how to handle harsh lighting, which you often get at weddings, but how would she be on the actual day, I didn’t know? It can be a stressful day and you want a photographer who brings the stress level down (not up), which Isabella certainly did. On the wedding day her assistant, Oliver, came to our home and photographed the boys. He was so nice and I could tell he really knew what he was doing. I was told by my kids not to interfere, lol, which I never felt I needed to anyway. It was nice to just sit back and let him work. While watching Isabella and Oliver photograph the wedding and reception, I was amazed at how they managed to work, without being intrusive. They worked quickly and quietly.Shortly after the wedding they sent a sneak peek with some images and a slide show. I was blown away with the quality of the images!! I knew they would be good just by watching how they worked, but I hadn't expected what I saw. I’m so happy that This is it Studios was the photography company my son and his wife chose. Sorry it's taken me a year to finally get this review done. What a joy it was to have our engagement shoot with Isabella. She was prepared, professional, and patient. We were nervous to get in front of the lens but she helped us to relax almost instantly, and encouraged us to be ourselves. She had so many different ideas for memorable shots, and her final editing was spectacular. Our experience with Isabella and This Is It Studios was beyond our expecation. Her service was amazing and so professional. From start to finish she set out our guide lines and answered my emails promptly with extremely good information. The photographs were marvellous and she had captured exactly what our family wanted. Dealing with babies, toddlers and 6 year old, plus parents is not easy but she did it with poise and pleasure. The photos are all keepers. We worked with THIS IS IT STUDIOS for our engagement photoshoot. Isabella was great! She helped us conceptualize our half day, making it feel like she really wanted OUR story to come out in the pictures. Though we are both awkward in front of the camera, she made us feel at ease and helped us enjoy the process. Isabella does a great job capturing emotions and candids. She photographed our engagement session at our local grocery store Fresh St Market and our wedding ceremony at Fleetwood International Church. You can tell she loves what she does because she lets you do your thing and she snaps away. Her fun words are HelloHi, which for our bridal party responds accordingly. We hired This Is It Studio to capture action shots of two of our trainers and a client workout. We wanted this content to give away to our client as a gift for winning 3rd place in her first competition ever. We also wanted to use these photos for our social media. We have had photographers before and we where referred to This Is It Studios by a friend. We are simply amazed at how amazing the whole experience has been. We will now always use there service. The shoot was perfect as we where in a busy active gym and we didn’t want to bug anyone else. We accomplished our 2 hour shoot without disrupting anyone. I was very happy by all of this. Isabella is wonderful to work with! She is extremely personable, friendly and professional in all of the elements involved in photographing a wedding. From our first meeting with her when we saw her portfolio, to our communication leading up to our engagement shoot and then the wedding, she was very organized and really made us feel comfortable in knowing what the day might look like. It rained during our first look and wedding party photos - but her and her photographer partner were awesome and were willing to take lots of photos in the rain and also found us some great spots inside our venue. At 32 weeks pregnant, you don't necessarily feel your best. You're tired and bloated and achey, but as a first time mom, you are still strangely compelled to commemorate this time when you most closely resembled a whale. Enter Isabella! She was recommended to me by a friend. Honestly, being the center of attention in photos makes me nervous, and she somehow put me and my husband completely at ease. While she also suggested other potential locations, she had no problems at all taking these photos in my apartment where I requested, because it's where we feel most comfortable. She knew what time to schedule the shoot so that we would capture the best light. And the photos! I could not have imagined better ones. They accurately captured the wonder my husband and I felt as soon-to-be parents, and best of all, they incorporated our firstborn (our dog!). Every now and then I pull them out and get a little misty-eyed. We'll definitely use her again, for a fun family shoot or maybe for a future maternity shoot.
