It isn’t often that you get to work side by side with the brilliant owner of this beautiful venue! I worked with Angela the last two days intensely! She was so thoughtful she brought a salad and even brought enough to share, it was the sweetest! She is delightful, sincere, and truly one of the sweetest people I ve ever met! As a makeup artist I ve done many weddings at this beautiful venue, it is clean, getting updated all the time, and so reasonably priced for everything they have to offer! Beautiful place, Western Theme, but can be quickly formal. I spent two days there on the grounds for a teacher conference. The chairs were comfortable the views were amazing. The grounds were maintained beautifully. So cute with the decorations. Looking for a venue it's perfect for your next planned event. Now I want to see a wedding in action. Went to the venue for a wedding a few weeks back the staff are super friendly and helpful in every way possible the facility was well put together and the view in the back was breathtaking at dusk definitely would recommend this venue to others

This place is awesome, it’s gorgeous and the horses in the back pasture make it even better. I would highly recommend this place. Bathrooms were super clean, there was plenty of parking in the parking lot , lots and lots of room outside in the back for extra activities or extra tables and chairs. We had our wedding ceremony in Rose Chapel and I gave Angela an idea of what I wanted but she did all the rest. As I wanted to be surprised by the chapels appearance I chose to fully trust Angela’s intuition. The doors opened and as I stood there waiting for the final fluff of my dress I was able to take in some of the hard work and stunning creativity in front of me and all of my loved ones. The reception was no different although I had more of a vision to offer in The Lonesome Dove it was Angela and her husband that brought it to life. I had a relaxing day getting ready knowing that everything was being taken care of and an amazing evening thanks to all of my vendors, many of who were brought to me by Angela and Angela herself making sure everything went perfect! Beautiful venue. Angela was amazing! We had a few ups and downs and decided to downsize our wedding and she was so amazingly helpful and understanding, working with the money we had already paid in to give us exactly what we needed. She even acted as a day-of coordinator and decorated the hall for us so beautifully, giving me exactly what I had envisioned. She had a huge storage building full of options for us to choose from. We were here for a Family Wedding. Beautiful scenic area with lots of trees in surrounding area. Quaint and charming church, rustic reception area with food serving area and bar area. This venue, it's so much more. The owners are very personable and are awesome with their place. I could seriously spend all day every day here. Where to even begin?! Day one of calling The Lonesome Dove and talking to Jenna & Angela I knew that this was the place I wanted to get married. They were so SWEET over the phone and I couldn’t want to meet them in person. They made everything so easy on the day of my wedding. We ended up booking Jenna to be our wedding coordinator and let me just say that we couldn’t of done it without her. She was...I can’t even put it into words. She made me laugh, feel comfortable and feel happy. She made sure I had everything I needed all during the day\night. A family member had her wedding here, and both ladies were so sweet, helpful, and passionate about what they do. They executed the wedding perfectly to every last detail. Just had my wedding here on sunday! Let me say Angela and her Husband are amazing! Angela is so helpful, and just on top of everything, the day of my wedding i was not stressed at all thanks to her! she stayed on top of everything even helping with my daughter, between her and my photographer i didnt worry about anything! The way she had the reception area set up was beyond what i could have imagined it was so beautiful.. and another thing about her, she has a personality that will make you feel like shes been your friend for years! I would say to anyone if you are looking for a cute country chic place to have your wedding this is the place to go! and i would suggest paying the money to get it all inclusive because its so much better then stressing!!!!! I just had my Wedding reception there July 15th and I couldn't be happier. I paid for the decoration package and it all turned out amazing! From the centerpieces to the service. Angela made sure to answer all my questions and bare with me on last minute changes and decisions. Definitely would recommend to anyone! Now that Jerry and Angela have taken over The Lonesome Dove, you can definitely tell they have put their heart into it! We actually saw the inside of the chapel and it’s going to look AWESOME! Also, they spoke with us about their plans for the future (ask them about it as I don’t want to ruin anything) and it will easily be the #1 venue in the 59 area! I loved the Lonesome Dove before yesterday. I had my wedding there in July as well as our rehearsal dinner. But after I went to my first post-wedding wedding at another venue (Tuscan Gardens), I am even more in love with The Lonesome Dove because I realize just how blessed I was to have my wedding there. I basically showed up with a few decorations and, with the package I purchased, when I came out for the ceremony and reception it's as if the most magical of decoration ferries had gotten a hold of everything. (AKA Angela, the owner of The Lonesome Dove). I wouldn't be mistaken to say that TLD is the most polished, well maintained, friendliest and burden-free-for-the-bride venue in Houston. Angela has found her calling in this business and you won't find a host or venue that will give you a better experience. Truly worth every penny! More...

I had my wedding at the Lonesome Dove this past Saturday. It was so wonderful!! The venue was beautifully decorated and only needs minimal additions and they are so easy to work with to keep everything on track! Angela is super sweet and so very helpful!!! I have only been to one wedding since I was 7 so I had very little experience to go off of! The whole thing went off without a hitch and I would recommend (and already have) the Lonesome Dove to anyone looking for a venue!!! It was hot outside as expected, but the inside was nice and comfortable! There were fridges big enough to hold all of our food and there were chairs and tables available for days!!! I don't think our wedding would have been as wonderful as it was if we wouldn't have had it here! More...

I cannot express how amazed we are with this venue!!! We looked online and the pictures were perfect, little did we know going to tour. .. the owner and venue would blow us away, pictures do NO justice and the LOVE that the venue owner has for what she does and catering to our every need from pricing to her wisdom of weddings and ideas. I have NEVER been more excited!!! We toured soooo MANY venues, not one offered what The Lonesome dove offered. And the price was BEYOND amazing. Angela walked us through every step, explained pricing in detail. She knew what our budget was to begin with, but she still came UNDER our budget....even adding things we had not even thought about. We have HONEYMOON money now!!!!! RUN don't walk.... the 5☆ rateings and comments from past brides are SPOT on. I am so grateful we waited to book and went and saw this venue!!!
