I did a spin class with james today and I must admit it's the best one I've ever done! He pushes you so you achieve more! Talks to you and joins in. A class PT

I've been after a good personal trainer for ages. This guy ticks all the boxes really helped me push through my mental barriers. Highly recommend!

James is the best and is very dedicated to your well being. His knowledge of all things training and nutrition are first class.

I met James while on a cruise. What he spoke to me about in the week that I was with him has helped me keep focus on lifestyle changes. He is a professional, and someone that can help you with exercise plans and nutrition. I am thankful he was on the same cruise I was on! I wish he lived near me! More...

Being my first experience having a personal trainer, I've learnt so much from The Gym Doctor about both healthy dieting and effective resistance training. I'd recommend James services to anyone needing health and fitness guidance. More...

It has all what you could expect in a basic gym but it gets very busy on weekday evenings. There are also plenty of 30min classes everyday. Open 24/7

Good gym, maintained better than others I’ve been to. Could do with a bigger range of dumbells as they only go up to 40kg

Been a member since first opened, great gym plenty of equipment- not often do you have to wait to use anything- classes are good too, gym usually clean however recently noticed it was abit dirty- chewing gum on equipment, stains etc but hopefully it's a one off. Free car park across the road.

Does what it says on the tin. Unless you really need a swimming pool, sauna and a steam room this gym has it all. It's open 24/7 with plenty of cardio and weights machines available including vibration machines. Free weights can be a struggle at busier times. A great bonus is that almost all classes are included in your membership. Free parking over the road or in the Stretford Arndale/mall car park. More...

Needing an 8 digit pass code to enter... OK i can live with it... but someone explain to me why in God's name i need to type it in on the way out! Other than that the gym is really good! More...

I really like this gym, it's not too crowded in the morning although the hair/makeup area in the dressing room can occasionally get a little full. The freeweights area is great with two squat racks, two smith machines, a power rack, a chest press, a proper leg press and shoulder press. I have been to a few other PureGyms and they don't have the leg, chest or shoulder presses but tend to have functional training rigs instead. I prefer the presses. This gym is on two floors and there are several different areas where you can train, like in the class area when no classes are on. They could do with one more set of the lighter freeweights in the evening as they tend to disappear quickly. More...
