Lovely setting for a drink and a meal. Prefeŕred the older menu as the new style Tapas didn't make much sense to me. It was explained to me as an English style Tappas. One choice was a sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce, it was a very small piece and no way could that be shared. Not because of the size of the piece but how can a few of you dip in to a share of a whole piece of steak covered in sauce. Another choice was a the fish and chips, again another small portion that couldn't be dipped in to by more than just the person who ordered it. I would suggest getting rid of the 'Tapas theme, serve bigger portions and charge more. Would save the embarrassment of picking up your friends steak of her plate and taking a bite and then her doing the same with your fish lol!! Hot Spot in Liverpool! Visited for the first time with a friend for lunch. Was so good I came back again the following evening. The food was fantastic & the service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere here changes dramatically between lunch and dinner. Lunch was lovely with superb views of the boats. In the evening, the candles are lit, the music is fitting, the fish & chips was just fantastic and the ambience is superb! Prices are also brilliant, was £6 for the best fish & chips I've ever had. Reservation for late Sunday lunch and both food and service were excellent. Layout changed since we were last here and the large function room is no longer used for Sunday roast dinners which is a shame as the dining and bar area are all one which feels a little cramped. My cousin had her wedding here a couple of years ago and it was lovely at the time but I hadn't been back there for around 2 years. My and my partner recently got a dog and knowing this was a dog friendly place with a calm clientele we started popping down with our pooch and it's lovely. I think I'll be bringing the dog down regularly for my sneaky afternoon coffee away from work � and with the free parking for guests it's ideal for a quick lunch or coffee.

Me and my fiancée went on Friday afternoon after purchasing a groupon for unlimited prosecco and afternoon tea. What a bargain it was! ! Thank you very much for your hospitality this weekend, think its fantastic that we can park the Campervan in the car park and use your toilet/shower facilities. We could not afford to visit your wonderful city at weekend with the ridiculous hotel prices. Cannot believe the Council are trying to stop Campervans parking here. One of my favourite lesser-known places round here, and the new management seems really eager to improve things. Clearly been some teething problems but the staff are lovely, and the drinks are great. Look forward to seeing the place continue improve now it's getting into the groove!

I do think it's a real shame you're no longer registered with Tastecard though, if I'm honest. Obviously I don't understand the economics of running a restaurant but I got a card so me and my girlfriend could go out for nice lunches regularly, and I'd be eating there all the time if you accepted it! Unfortunately I don't see myself ever getting meals there otherwise, I don't doubt the food is lovely but it's priced a little too high for a casual eater like me when there's so many places to try with the discount. Fantastic meal last night and excellent value for money. We visited for the valentines meal and entertainment package at 59 pounds per couple. It was a beautiful meal very well presented and tasted gorgeous. The sea bass was to die for. Sadly we didn't make the entertainment part as I was just too tired but I'm sure our colleagues will report back how it went. Compliments to the chef and the team who made it a lovely night.
