We offer tuition for Woodwind Instruments: Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute, Oboe and Bassoon as well as Music Theory. The Woodwind Academy is based around major UK cities such as London, Cambridge and Manchester but we offer lessons nationwide via Skype for the more remote areas. First trial lesson is free of charge!

Very good experience!
First contact with Liam was pleasant, after a length phone all, I try to find a Clarinet/Saxophone teacher for my son who is 9y, giving how much other activities occupy his free time out if school , Liam found a great teacher Joy also help organize the instrument rental service Woodwind academy offer.
So far so good, Alex enjoy his home visit class with an exceptional teacher! Definitely recommend the service.

My teacher Liam is a fantastic musician, and I really feel that he is helping me grow as a musician too. Thanks to him my playing has improved dramatically over the last 18 months. Although he is very accomplished, he is still approachable and has a good sense of humour, and is understanding when I struggle with any pieces or techniques.As The Woodwind Academy is made up of several equally qualified teachers, it means that even if Liam is away playing professionally there is always a replacement teacher so that I don't miss out on any lessons. What do you love most about your job?
Being able to teach anyone from 4-5 year old kids to 65+. No matter what age, it's very satisfying to affect peoples lives and teach them to enjoy music.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having been teaching for over 10 years and with a fully booked schedule, I decided it was time to meet other teachers and be able to assign a teacher to the many enquiries I still receive on a monthly basis. This is a perfect strategy to meet more students and teachers to work together.

At The Woodwind Academy we are highly motivated to offer the best service for very competitive prices. Private tuition can be quite irregular as musicians often have gigs and other commitments, but with TWA we are able to offer cover teachers so that the student doesn't miss his weekly lessons.
