My husband and I wondered into the Wood Factory looking for a wood mantel for our fireplace.  I found the Wood Furniture Factory online and it stated they had mantels.  We took the long drive to National City and to our surprise we walked into a wood shop.  We met Bret who was very patient with us and explained what he could do.  I explained what I wanted, I showed him a  picture and Bret stated he could create it.  Bret did an amazing job and created the perfect mantle we were looking for.  We love our mantle, the price was affordable for a custom piece and we couldn't be happier.  Thank you for helping us create the fireplace we dreamed of. Love this place! Beautiful work. Bret is a great guy and always answers the phone. (Yes! That is important) They will take longer than they say. ..but worth it. I had them custom make a desk for me. Super happy with our entertainment center. It was a unique piece that took a lot of back and forth with Bret and his team, but the outcome was worth it. Note that with anything you get what you put into it, so be prepared to be specific with what you want as this is 'custom' furniture. Thus, the 'custom'er also has do do some of the work. We had our fireplace completely redone by San Diego Fireplaces (whom I highly recommend; Paul is wonderful!) and were in need of a beautiful mantel to compliment the our new fireplace. Paul recommended we contact Bret at The Wood Furniture Factory. Bret personally came to our home, took measurements, made suggestions as to the color and type of wood to go with. I was looking for oak bookcases for a hallway.  Nothing I came across pre-made was working for me so I went searching for custom designers.  I saw all of the positive reviews and gave Bret a call.  He came out to measure the area I wanted to fill on his way home from work one night.It took about six weeks for the bookcase to be finished and Bret was up front about how long things would take.  Once it was ready he had said it would take about three hours to install but they were done in less than two.  The bookcase is amazing.  The craftsmanship is exquisite and it fits perfectly in the hallway nook to maximize the space.  I'm very happy with my order. We had been looking for furniture for our office for quite some time.  We first got a quote from California Closets, but all the "wood" they use is MDF, something I can't stand.  We looked for a place that would make us shelving and a desk out of real wood and exactly the way we wanted it.  The Wood Furniture Factory fit that exactly.  We came in with a basic design and Bret helped to modify it for a better look and fit.  His estimate came in under what California Closets had quoted, and we got more bookshelf space as well.  They seem to be chronically behind, so any time estimate would probably be longer than expected.  It's totally worth it though!  We are already planning our next furniture project with them in mind. I needed a corner bookcase for a sitting area in our master bedroom, and no furniture store seemed to carry them either in stock or by special order. I had The Wood Furniture Factory make one for me. I love that is was made in the USA and locally too. It turned out just perfect! They made it with attention to every detail. As an added bonus, it was installed as if it was a built-in and was reasonably priced. I highly recommend using The Wood Furniture Factory if you need a custom piece, or any furniture for that matter. They are professional, and deliver as promised. We would give this place 10 stars if we could!My boyfriend and I searched for months to find the perfect solid wood dresser and night stand.  We were shocked because everywhere we shopped all we could find were laminate pieces that were ridiculously expensive!  Surprisingly, not even Ethan Allen had solid wood furniture.  After almost giving up, my boyfriend did a Google search for solid wood furniture and miraculously found The Wood Furniture Factory.  So we paid a visit to the store, which is really cool because you can actually see them making the furniture.  As soon as we saw the furniture, we knew we had come to the right place - everything was beautiful and no laminate to be found!  We thought it was way too good to be true, that the prices must be high, but were pleasantly surprised - they are about half the price of the stuff in Ethan Allen.We ordered the solid maple dark-stained dresser in the picture above (the one with the bear), and the night stand.  The owners, Bret and Raymond, are super friendly and helped us figure out how to customize our piece, and Bret actually builds the furniture (oh, he delivered it too ;-).  They customized the color to match my bed and it was perfect - they have over 30 stains/colors to choose from.  Coolest of all, Bret left a little note for my boyfriend and I and signed the inside of one of the drawers.This is the type of furniture that you are going to pass down and that will last forever.  We are SO glad we found the Wood Furniture Factory.  We will definitely be back!!!!!!!
