Kate was both our pre-wedding contact at the NC Arboretum as well as our Day Of Coordinator and we couldn't have been happier. She was very easy to work with not just because she is kind and attentive, but because she excels in her business. As we talked with vendors we heard from them time and again that Kate is the best. She has the respect of the industry and on our wedding day she proved why. We were wed in the middle of Hurricane Florence. Needless to say, that threw a bit of wrench in our plans but Kate adapted every step of the way and pulled off an amazing event. In sum, Kate's a force of nature! I'd trust her again in a heartbeat. Kate was THE BEST wedding planner a girl could ask for. I have honestly always wanted to hire a wedding planner when the time came; but was skeptical because I heard it could get pricey (yikes). However, Kate's prices were reasonable and it made ALL the difference. Her charming and sweet nature made the process that much easier and really helped alleivate a lot of potential stress. Kate was our day of coordinator at Trickle Creek Farm and put my mind at ease that day and leading up to it. It's very easy to feel overwhelmed planning and everything that goes on day of and she was great in both aspects of leading up to and during the wedding! Kate served as our "Day of Coordinator" for our August wedding at The NC Arboretum, but she was so much more than a "day of" coordinator. From the beginning, Kate answered our logistical questions and how everything would work the day of the wedding. She was incredibly attentive and quick to respond. Not only did she answer questions we had, but she let us know when she was going to be out of the office ahead of time in case we had questions we hadn't asked yet. As the date approached, Kate worked with our vendors making sure they knew when to be at the venue and that the day would run smoothly. Having Kate work so closely with the vendors was such a blessing and took a lot of pressure off us. The day before the wedding, at our rehearsal, Kate was very patient as some of our party was running late. She was so wonderful explaining how the processional would work best and helping my 'Maid of Honor turned Officiant' understand her role. The day of the wedding we had rain in the forecast. We really wanted an outdoor wedding. Kate was in touch first thing in the morning letting me know the plan and timing of that final decision. We ended up having to move the reception inside, but Kate did a great job making sure it looked beautiful inside and still matched our vision. Once we arrived at the venue, Kate came to me as I was getting ready to let me know guests were arriving and we had to make a decision about the ceremony. She offered umbrellas, and we decided to go for it. Amazingly, as I came down the aisle, the sun came out! I think that must have been another trick Kate had up her sleeve! The rest of the evening went off without a hitch as Kate directed all of guests to the cocktail hour and reception, and some how managed to keep track of us, too. She had the timing to a 'T' but, we never felt rushed. At the end of the night, she already had our belongings in the getaway car and helped my parents clean up. There are NO WORDS to describe Kate’s attention to detail. She made our special day go perfectly. We were planning to be married outside and naturally the weather started to take a turn a few days before. As any bride would I started to panic that my entire dream vision would be washed away.

Kate jumped into action walking around with the Doppler on her iPad and quickly regrouped my vendors early in the day. When we entered into our now indoor reception it was amazing and beautiful. She made such an impact on all of our guests!

More importantly her responsiveness is unmatched. She is incredibly kind, patient and always quick to give a solution. She helped me to relax on what I would consider my most nerve wracking day!

Even though my reception was moved; having my ceremony outside was still so important to me. She was able to push the ceremony back a little and all of our guests received giant umbrellas and the photos were incredible. People still say how stunning it was a year and a half later!

Kate knows her vendors too. She can tell you who is a good fit, what an alternate option could be (we were technically considered out of town, so we didn’t have a huge list of people to work with). Her sweet disposition and attention to detail was incredible. My husband still talks about how great her services were, and that’s saying a lot since he only remembers one other thing... the food :)

Use her, you won’t regret it! She even emailed us and checked on us a year later because we were pregnant! She is so thoughtful and truly I considered her a crucial part of our big day. More...

Kate was extremely helpful when we were planning our wedding at the NC Arboretum. She provided us plenty of advice and support when it came to making decisions about location (there are multiple spots to get married there) decorations, and ensuring our guest were comfortable. She thought of everything including using a golf cart for our older guests and making sure there were weather contingencies. On the actual day, everything went off without a hitch. Kate assisted us in planning our wedding at the North Carolina Arboretum in 2017, and she was fantastic to work with. Months before the wedding we provided pre-wedding paperwork which helped with planning and stayed in touch through out the planning process. It made things very stress free. Kate was always easy to get in touch with and offered some great advice when needed. We first met Kate in December 2016 when we were planning our wedding. Kate took us all over the NC Arboretum for a couple hours to show us the best spots and the pros and cons of each. Kate wasn't even supposed to be there, she was just finishing with someone else and she was supposed to be off from work but she stayed and helped us out. Kate was very helpful to us in choosing the caterer, musicians, rent for chairs and equipment and in the rental of transportation to the reception. Kate was always very quick to respond to any questions or emails. She had a lot of work to do for our June 2017 wedding date.
