Accommodation okay but could do with a better update, breakfast was okay selection but hot buffet was poor only thing correct temperature was the hashbrowns . Martin the Manager and Aaron the Assistant Manager made our Wedding Day the most Perfect Day. Before our wedding we saw them a few times and they were very laid back and reassuring of our plans. When the day arrived everything worked like clockwork, literally all my requirements were fulfilled tenfold. They dovetailed the music for the marriage to perfection. Nothing was too much trouble. The drinks after the ceremony and then the BBQ were amazing. All our guests loved the bbq as they couid eat as little or as much as they liked. It was fabulous. . I can’t thank them and the waiting staff and finally the chef for providing top quality and top service for our Wedding. Nice clean hotel. However there seemed to be a bit of a mix up with the booking at check-in. Probably due to the fact I had to amend the booking. There also seemed to be an over charge from the original booking. I had been charged for superior rooms after I amenended. We were given standard rooms, I think there seems to be a lack of communication between the hotel and hotels.com! More...

This was my second visit. Don’t judge a book by its cover. The front view is not that attractive, but inside is good. The lady who did our afternoon tea, is really nice and always has a smile. We had afternoon tea. Tea, coffee and a selection of sandwiches and very good scones, jam and clotted cream. All for the grand total of £9.95 each. You can also have two up grades, if you wish. We had a family wedding over 2 days at the water mill hotel, over the Easter weekend. |We hired out the 4 conference rooms for all of the functions. The general manager the rest of the staff were very helpful, anything we asked was no trouble and did everything we asked for. ||We had food ordered for the ceremony on Friday messed food and bbq we had falafels, salads, pitta bread, sweetcorn, chicken, lamb sheesh & vegetable skewers with hummus and tzatiki. The food was fresh, hot and amazing. All the guests loved the food and it kept coming until everyone had had their fill. ||We had different food for the reception. Paneer tikka, tandoori Mogo, salad, nan, lamb skewered tandoori chicken, aloo tiki burgers with chilli sauce and mint sauce again absolutely fabulous food the guests loved it and couldn’t get enough of it. ||The staff did all the set up as and when we needed them to. Always at hand to help out and answer queries making sure all the guests are looked after. They did fabulously couldn’t have asked for more from them. ||The hotel is beautiful and if the weather is nice (which it was) we all got the sit on the decking outside and enjoy the peaceful grounds and views. We ordered food from the menu in the evening and no complaints all of it came it nice, hot and fresh and everything we asked for we got. The guests were raving about the hotel and the service. ||The rooms are a bit tired and in need of modernisation it could new showers as the ones we all had hardly worked and hardly any power but apart from that they were comfortable and homely.|| More...

The hotel is built around the remains of an old mill.|The rooms are comfortable well appointed and reasonably modern for the travelers that we have become. We hired the function room at the Watermill Hotel for a joint 50th birthday bash (May 2019, approx. 100 guests). Martin and his team did an amazing job hosting and sorted out any problems we had. The room was perfect (plenty space, tables and chairs, extra bar in the room, good dance floor area, clean toilets, etc). After the DJ stopped playing around 12.30pm, they kept the hotel bar open until 3am for guests. Had a great night, fully recommend the venue (both function room and hotel). More...
