Un "pub" typique, une ambiance bruyante mais sympathique, et les "petits" plats préparés sont à l'avenant. Un beau choix de bières.
Excellent Scottish Pie Delicious after a 3 hour flight!
My wife and I stopped here after viewing the EPIC museum. (I highly recommend visiting the EPIC, very informative and exceptional technical, interactive exhibits.)This is a great bar with a classic feel of a neighborhood bar. There were several people inside watching the soccer game. Staff was friendly and prompt. We only stayed for one beer each but I wouldn't hesitate to go back. More...

Great chicken wings
Good selection of food with very helpful staff. Great beer.
Good fish and chips, but otherwise a forgettable pub with not much character.
Excellent food, staff really friendly + a good pint
Incredible service. This is my first time in Ireland and Jo could not have been more helpful. She recommended my new favorite whiskey (Slane) and the lamb stew. It was delicious. There was another lovely woman who recommended the brownie (also delicious) and chased me down when I left my notebook behind, but I didn't get her name. Hopefully management sees this, because you have a wonderful staff. I will absolutely be back. More...

Lovely place great Guinness.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere.
Really nice pub in Baggot St, quite busy on the weekend, good place for a pint
Nice spacious bar! Beers here are priced around 6 euros so can't complain about the price. The design of this place utilises a lot of dark Oak which means it's kind of dark atmosphere.Ps avoid the Asian chicken wings, trust me. More...

Good and friendly bar...close to everything. No complaints about the service, quick and the service staff are super friendly.
Best meal I had in Dublin! The stir-fry and sea bass were both excellent, and the servers were kind enough to offer excellent whiskey suggestions. Thanks for a memorable experience!
The food was high quality like most of the food in Dublin. Reasonably priced, in fact the bill was far lower than was expected based on the quality, portions and taste of the food. highly recommend.

Great pub! The staff is very nice, and they have a great beer selection! Awesome atmosphere to watch rugby!
Loved the atmosphere in here before the big match. Staff were amazing especially considering the number of customers they were serving today. Tables were constantly being cleared of debris and cleaned. I purchased a bottle of wine and in the chaos the barman apologised for no wine bucket! Food looked fab too More...
Wonderful place to wait until we could get into our hotel. Impressive sized pub, comfortable, cheerful staff. Wish I had it near my home in California.
The family of Andy Ryan would like to thank the management and staff of The Waterloo in Baggot St. for their kind thoughts and very helpful arrangements following his passing. He would have been greatly honoured by the regard and dignity shown for his family, relations and friends. More...

"Mindenütt jó, de legjobb Otthon!" - ezt az alapvető igazságot a gasztonómia világára így fordítanám le: minden Otthon a LEGJOBB. Ez áll a sörökre is, közöttük például a Guinnessre, amit itt, Írországban készítenek és itt a Waterloo Barban a legfinomabb! Én most erre adtam az 5 csillagot. No, meg még a kedves, udvarias kiszolgálásra, a hely hangulatára, a tisztaságra, a rendre és a szolíd és kultúrált sörkedvelő közönségre.- Ide máskor is eljövünk! Köszönjük! More...

Good beer, nice staff, food's alright.
Good bar for any of Ireland's sporting endeavors. Handy little bar on the upper level too if it gets too busy on the ground floor. Almost always certain to fill up for any sporting event in the Aviva but always has a good atmosphere when it does. More...

Nice clean and spacious pub. Drinks are affordable for city center so I don't mind. There is ample space for everyone and it makes a nice place for group gatherings. The Waterloo bar is a great spot to watch the NFL on Sunday. A great selection of beer here in Dublin is a given, however McGargles DIPA is one of the best West Coast style IPAs. Great service and the food is good as well. More...
Perfect for getting a beer and something to eat.
Food is great for a mid week lunch treat but lacking severely on vegetarian options. The one vege option they do have is absolutely delicious - a quesadilla - and the fries are tasty. The beer is great.
Great pub to go to before and after a match great atmosphere
Pretty good kitchen, but it's often over-crowded, you barely can hear what sy tell to you, even if S/he sit next to you.
This was a great place to watch the 6 nations. We had a section down the back to ourselves. The service here was great, and had table service for food and drinks.
Nice and cosy inside
Nice place , food not bad and good service
Spacious but cosy
Wide variety of everything. Staff is super friendly.
Lots of craft beers and normal beers on offer here. Lots of seating also. Beers are on the pricier side though
The default bar to go to in the area.
Good food and drinks, nice decor, clean and crisp, excellent service
Dark place for a few beers.
Nice quiet bar
This is one of my go-to places for pub food in Dublin. It has a vast selection of beers (reasonably priced), and their menu is really good value. Especially the starters, the braised pork ribs (8€) and chicken wings (6.50€ small, 8.50€ large) are great value since the portions are really nicely sized. The chicken wings are crispier than standard chicken wings, so if you like that you'll love the wings here. A large portion of chicken wings + a side of sweet potato fries (4€) will be more than enough even if you're really hungry. More...
Lovely place. Choice of drinks is OK. The food is good and quite cheap. Outside seating is available and a smoking place is also available. Good place for a night out with friends. More...
Nice modern/retro mix and great beer selection

Nice music, and great service.

Great place for pint after checking into The Dylan hotel around the corner. Was on a flight for about 16 hours from San Francisco, CA and The Waterloo came through with a variety of beer and food..The Fish and Chips were on point! Service was also nice and friendly. More...
Great place for a pint. Staff is awesome here especially Steve. It was our first time here we will be back
Best service I've had in Dublin! Cool space. Good food and drinks. I'll definitely go back!!
Great bar with 24 types of beer on tap. They even have non-acoholic beer! Food portions are huge. Great chilled out vibe with super attentive service. Loved it
very nice pub in southside. platters are fine, try the smithwicks red ale.
Good chicken wings, friendly staff
The beers were good and I had the shepards pie, all great. Bar very cute and staff friendly
A really wide selection of beers.
They have screens for watching the match
Love the food in here! Staff are extremely nice also!
Decent beer selection, great food
Nice pub. Very typical. Full of people when there is a match.
Great beer selection
I got stranded under The Waterloos awning as a tremendous summer downpour landed on me. With no sign of the rain stopping anytime soon I decided I may as well be comfortable while I wait. I ordered a tea at the bar and I was told it would be brought over to me, so I gladly took a seat. All I can say is The Waterloo make a fine pot of tea. It came in some charming mismatched China and with a little posh biscuit. At 2.50 EUR, it was so worth it, the tea, the posh biscuit and the great service. It's a nice bar inside, very comfortable and friendly staff. I remember it before the refurb and it has lost some of its old Dublin pub charm. But it's still worth a visit if your in the area. I recommend the tea :) More...
The Waterloo Bar hit the spot for us while we were staying in Ballsbridge - just down the street. The staff were friendly, very kid-friendly, good assortment of beer. The food hit the spot - good Irish favorites, like Irish stew; good variety of other options as well, like a spicy Asian noodle dish. More...
I like this bar in my neighborhood! Its a chilled out place for an evening drink or just hanging out with your friends. Walking through the small entrance you realize that its pretty big inside: like a long corridor with very high ceilings and an upstairs terrace as well. I like the decor, it looks very spacious and tables are well separated. I am yet to try their food but have tried their cocktail specials which were good. They keep changing the cocktails on the special offer list every few weeks. A great bar to watch the game. I wonder why it doesn't get crowded like Searsons next door....This place is great and I will for sure be coming back soon. Especially for its 5 euro cocktail specials! More...
This place was great. It's surprisingly huge. Went here last night with a friend and split a bunch of the starters. They were all fantastic and the servers were very nice. Will be back!
This place has the best chickenwings in town!!
Just had the best dining experience I've ever had with a friend of mine. Everyone we met was amazing from our waitress who recommended these new cocktails to us that weren't even on the menu yet, to the lady making these new delights coming over and talking to us about them to finish it off with the delightful Gabriella topping our meal off with great conversation and desserts to die for! I will certainly be coming back for more! More...
Delicious food, great atmosphere, lovely desserts...what else could you ask for? My husband had a veal burger, served with skinny fries that he said was absolutely delicious...never had a veal burger before and although skeptical at first when he saw it on the menu, he was pleasantly surprised at the flavor and size. I ordered fish and chips which was nice...a little bit too bread-y but overall, tasty with a helping of fries and a small rocket salad. Our friends ordered the feather blade steak, which was succulent and lean while his wife ordered the vegetable lasagna...very delicious and served in a beautiful little crock alongside a rocket salad. We were all very happy with our meals as well as the started of chicken wings! As if our dinner wasn't enough, we ordered the apple rhubarb crumble with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate treacle. Oh my goodness...just delish! We sat for hours sharing our meal, some Smithwick's and O'Hara's along with a few glasses of Montepulciano. Lovely place to spend an evening! More...
This place was a great experience in Dublin. They have a Michelin Star Chef and a great, fresh menu. The service was also very warm. I'd highly recommend this charming establishment that's a bit removed from the busier areas, but worth it. More...
We were a little unsure about this place as some of the reviews aren't too great, but after trying all the other places around, we gave it a shot. The food was actually quite good and the waitstaff quite pleasant and friendly. It was so good we went back again our last night in Dublin. More...
This was my first time in a Irish Pub, and being part Irish, when a Guinness was being pured, it brought tears to my eyes.I hope everyone can remember their first time in a Pub in Ireland, what an experience. The question we asked was, "What is the best band to come out of Ireland?" Most people say U2, but I said the Best band, not the most popular. Thin Lizzy was the BEST band to come out of Ireland. This was our first stop at a Dublin pub as we were lodged at the nearby Mespil hotel. This is a well-kept and modern watering hole. The help was friendly and efficient. I found the "pour your own pints" tables fascinating. More...
I liked this place. It was near the hotel that we stayed in and saved us a bit in travel, as we needed to just walk to the place. Nicely decorated for a pub...I would consider it an upscale place with pub food. They offered a set meal from pub food menu or their upscale pub menu with comes with a pint. I choose the upscale pub food and a pint of smithwicks. After days of drinking Guinness, it was a refresher. The Ceasar salad was very tasty as well as the steak that I ordered. Much better than what I would have expected for pub food. The atmosphere during dinner was very relaxing. Come here to just relax with your mates and hang out. Enjoy the food and your pint. More...
i used to get dragged here whenever google people decided to all go out together and needed some space. i'm talking like 20-30 nerds... ahem... engineers taking up a third of the place. eventually though, i ended up liking the place and once i figured out they had decent food, it rose up high on my radar.well, except for the time the decided to try their hand at "tapas", a term which they obviously didn't understand. OMG WTF FTL! yuck.other than that, i've never been disappointed by their offerings. i actually had some of the best salmon i've eaten in ireland at waterloo which was quite the surprise given that it's not really a restaurant.as a pub, it's different and cool. i can only really describe it as somewhat cathedral-like with its lofty ceilings and bar that goes on forever. maybe it has a world record? the service is friendly and nice and the seating inviting, plentiful and comfy. another really nice point is the back "smoking" outdoor area, accessible thru the upstairs so you really would never know it was there unless someone told you to go there. i'm sure it's delightful when it's nice out.now that i've written this, i'm asking myself why i never go there anymore. strange, since i really like the place. maybe i'll go tonight... :) More...
Ok, we rolled into here with a group of 8 at the height of the St. Patrick's Day madness. No worries, no grumpy looks, just great service-with-a-smile, a fun waitress, and really decent food. We started with a sampler platter and then moved on to burgers, stew, Fish & Chips (fer yerz trooly, of course), and, for a Dub 4 Pub, really decent prices. The interior is wonderful, and it seems to have mastered that strange no-mans-land between the Auld Sod and the Celtic Tiger that so many places fail miserably when they attempt it. I was impressed with how it could be both cozy and spacious at the same time.Bottom Line: When I go back, I hope I have as much fun sober... More...
I ate here one evening a few years ago and it was pretty good. Not great but good. I was in here last Saturday though and I had a brilliant time. I had some friends visiting and we came in here for early pints as one of the guys with us wanted to watch the darts on the TV. The staff were really obliging and turned the telly down the back on for us. It felt like we had our own room! The service was bang on for the whole night. We would order another round and whoever poured the Guinness would bring them down to us. We were right near the loos as well, which were extremely clean and well kept. There's a cool smoking area upstairs, although we couldn't really appreciate it as it was so baltic outside! I would definitely come back here again. More...
The Waterloo has to have one of the most fabulous interiors of any bar in Dublin. The small granite front to the pub gives way to a soaringly tall, church or up turned arc-like, wooden ceiling. The large space created is full of light, giving the impression of freshness and space even at night. This most elegant of pubs manages to maintain an easy going atmosphere where others might fail and is a great spot for a few pints of an evening. More...
The Waterloo is one of the pubs in the Baggot mile. Which is when you drink a pint at each of 12 certain pubs along Baggot St, and finish up at Stephen's Green. Some of these 12 pubs, while not necessarily being shit, are not really worth upending yourself from your bar stool 12 times in an evening. The Waterloo is not one of said pubs. In fact, The Waterloo is probably the nicest of the 12, and is worth a trip out Baggot St way in and of itself. There are tables outside that catch the sunlight in the early evenings, and on cloudy, rainy or otherwise stay inside kind of days, the interior is pretty nice too. Nice long bar, and they serve a wider range of draught beers than most places. One of the better pubs at that end of town. More...
I've eaten here a few times, and the food is great, real Irish farmer stuff. Their Irish breakfast is huge, actually their portions in general are huge. the value you get for your cash is second to none especially in this postcode.Amazing interior, I love it on a lazy Sunday. Oh and the staff are very friendly and attentive. More...
The Waterloo is just round the corner from me. Go on a nice day and try to snare one of the highly sought after outside tables - there's no better place to watch the beautiful people of D4 stroll past. There's always rotating drink specials, a great Guinness pint, and lots and lots of room to swallow everyone from the office of the entire hen entourage. I like the leather seats and the long bar. The Waterloo gets quite busy of an evening and can be great fun, but is best enjoyed on a nice day at about 2pm where the sun streams in the front windows and the impressive interior decor looks its best. Good food, good service and clean toilets in this clean, classy (but not snooty) pub. More...
