The Visual Factory has been our branding and design studio since the inception of our company. Everything from our logo to our product packaging has been designed and produced by The Visual Factory. Camilla is exceptionally talented and a pleasure to work with - even under pressure and tight deadlines. We would recommend the Visual Factory to any company looking for an outside design firm that performs like your own in-house marketing and design professional. More...

Camilla helped redesign my logo from 2010 to a new one for this year!  My wife HATED my old logo and within one session Camilla designed one that she actually liked without any desire to change it!  I can't believe it - I've never designed ANYTHING  my wife liked right off the bat!  So good job to Camilla, I've already started using it on my facebook, linked in and Yelp pages and soon I will be transitioning all my business cards to it.... If you want to see an example check out my page at facebook.com/calmputerco…!  Thanks again Camilla!  You made updating my logo super easy!!! More...

Camilla is an amazing graphic designer! She listens and is very responsive, which are two very important qualities to me. I have used her on 2 projects and she has delivered both times ! A lot of people have made comments to me on how amazing the design work that I have in place, is. I think that marks a success. Thanks Camilla, I'll be back for more. =) More...

The Visual Factory is my #1 go-to for graphic design, and has been for well over 10 years. Â Camilla is very experienced in print, online, video, photography, and more, and keeps abreast of all the latest technologies. Â She is an artist in her own right but, unlike most, understands business challenges and always meets the business objectives, providing multiple options and avenues to achieve results. Â I cannot recommend her highly enough and hope to continue to hire her for years to come. More...

What makes a great website?
A great first impression and an incredibly intuitive and simple user experience. Your potential clients want to find out the information most pressing to them - make it easy for them to do so!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is your main objective for starting this project? What is your target audience? How do you want them to feel when they read your website, view your brochure, see your logo? What is the monetary amount that you're interested in investing in your company's growth through marketing communications?
Describe your creative process.
1. Research the market. 2. Through a creative brief and/or phone call, determine the voice of both the client and the target audience to strike a balance of authenticity between the two. 3. Design and sketches begin! Start mocking up designs. Narrow down to the top designs and present to the client. Discuss to narrow down the best design solution through usually a few rounds of edits. Present the final chosen design and deliver the files! Coffee, laughter and a great soundtrack are always part of the process.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
As mentioned in my process, a creative brief helps to ensure that all the information is presented by the client in terms of objective and voice. Unless we are providing assets, graphics, photos copy and an approval of the estimate are required to get started down the creative path.
What do you love most about your job?
Building relationships with people and creating beautiful and functional design that helps bring client's concepts into visual tools to better position themselves in their market.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The freedom to create the best design solutions for my customers without a lot of the politics of large agencies and committees. The flexibility to work hard to get the job done and also take the time out to replenish my energy and creativity to bring great design with a great attitude.
Why should our clients choose you?
Over 15 years of design and agency experience, a wealth of knowledge and experience across print, web and video media, expert knowledge of all relevant Adobe cloud softwares, professsionalism that far exceeds my competition, excellent communication skills, a great attitude and sense of humour.
