The Victoria Inn

Came in at 6pm tonight with my husband for his birthday meal, so glad I had booked our table as the place was packed out. The waitresses were friendly and efficient as always and took our order straight away . A few big groups for carvery, so our steak & chicken took about 25 minutes to arrive, but was well worth the wait, piping hot. In fact, we both said it was probably one of the nicest meals we have ever had in the pub and we've had a few in the last 6 years that we've lived in the village! Fantastic food, carvery is the best for miles, desserts are nom nom nom and great size portions and homemade. Lovely friendly staff and the pub and garden is looking peachy.

I had a really lovely time yesterday over at " The Victoria Inn" at Threemilestone with my mum and Auntie Pearl, her husband Peter, and my partner Nicky, it's not often I go out with my family, so it was a welcome change, the carvery was absolutely great and the company, I think my mum had a lovely day, because she went to see a show at the Hall for Cornwall first with her sister in law then we picked her up and went to the Victoria inn, whereupon we had the Carvery I think by The time we got home it was gone 9:00 but I'm so glad that mum had a good day out, The Carvery at the Victoria inn has to be booked in advance, because its very popular, but comes highly recommended, and for a gutz like me, very enjoyable !!!���

Our experience started as soon as we walked through the door. We were met by a very welcoming young lady who asked if we had booked a table which we replied yes and she showed us to put table we asked for drinks straight away and said we wanted carvery.
Our drinks arrived very quickly.
The carvery was absolutely delicious 3 meats and so much veg to choose from! And all beautifully cooked too.

Just want to say how amazing this place is! Me being the dozy cow that I am managed to book our Father's day meal at the Roche Victoria Inn instead of Threemilestone. I hadn't realised my mistake until we arrived for our meal today. The place was packed and there were understandably no tables left with it being Father's day, however one of the members of staff did everything she could and amazingly sorted a table for us and we only had to wait for 15 minutes for it to come available. Thank you so much for all your help and The food was amazing as always! Myself and my husband thought the Victoria Inn was excellent place to stay and eat . We came to Truro because my Stepson was taken ill and was in Truro hospital . The hospitality was second to none they were very welcoming and friendly. Room was excellent even in the heat ensuite was essential . Breakfast was delicious just what we needed after a five hour drive from the Midlands. Nothing was too much trouble for them and greeted with smiling faces. After spending a day at the hospital which wore us out . It was nice to come back for a lovely carvery in the evening and a rest. We only stayed overnight but it will stick in our memory always and would highly recommend this lovely Inn. I see some people are moaning about the service here .. I have always found it nice and friendly and great food. The thing is ya have to remember how busy restaurants are and if you have ever worked in a restaurant or in the kitchen , it's hard work and non stop . . so please give them some slack and be patient. .. they get tired like the rest of us .. they have probably been on their feet for hours and if it's near the end of the night they probably just want to go home .. so if you are there til closing move to the bar or another table and just let them wipe down and clear your table , so that when you do leave they just need to collect your glasses. Attended with a walking group on the special occasion of a 90th birthday celebration after a walk in the Threemilestone area. Booking in advance, we found the staff pleasant, efficient and co-operative, as they were in the serving of the food. Most of the group chose the carvery which lived up to the reputation of being one of the best around.

My fiance and I go here regularly for the amazing carvery. There is a daily specials menu and a regular menu too, we look at it everytime but always have the carvery which is served everyday. There is a bar and lots of seating and also a separate games room with pool and darts etc. It is best to ring and book but be prepared for it to be busy. Very good food, well priced and staff were friendly. They squeezed us in when we did not have a booking. The service was good but slow, we had to go to the bar to pay for our meal after waiting 15 mins for waitress to return but they were very busy so was understandable.
