I brought my 100lb Great Dane puppy Moose in for their Jumpstart Program. I have a 3 year old, and I couldn't afford for him not to listen. He wasn't aggressive, but he wanted to play (as pups do) and he would often play too rough with everyone, and walking him in public was impossible. He's smart, but stubborn, and only growing bigger. Moose came home from this program a completely different dog. I can take him places without him pulling me everywhere, I can have him outside off leash without worrying that he will run off, and most importantly, I trust him enough that he can be around my son, and my son loves him! Jesse Dalton and his family have not only provided me with training for my dog, but have continued to provide me with follow up and boarding as needed. Jesse is beyond skilled in his knowledge of canine behavior and is able to work with my incredibly stubborn English Bulldog. My dog is now two and we got him as a 7 month old puppy, who had no training at all. Having the opportunity to meet Jesse, Jen and Addison, I fell in love with their program and all that they do. We however had already completed 3 training courses with our pup at the time I met this fantastic family. Yet after the months of sessions we completed, Kona still struggled to walk on leash consistently let alone off leash. After 2 years with our small size pup he had been attacked by a large dog. After that event he spiraled backward with his ability to meet and play with other dogs. It became a scenario we could no longer meet dogs on walks or consider dog parks, bring him to homes with other dogs, and were no longer able to invite friends and family to bring their dogs to our home. It was at this point we decided to reach The Upbeat K9 for assistance.
Not only did they bring on our Kona and his fears and recent aggression toward dogs, but also brought my brother's 70lb dog Nikki who had recently been rescued. She was not only stubborn but extremely prey driven. Walking her was nearly impossible without straining your back. With sight of an animal on a walk or in the yard, it would require two people and all their might to keep hold of her.

Even though I knew Jesse and his capabilities, there is always that doubt when it is your own dog. You think are ours actually fixable, will they respond to the training etc. With our dogs training 7 hours from home and pic or two posted to facebook, we would still wonder as to the progress and were nervous as to their results.

Upon receiving these two back, EVERYONE was beyond in shock. Both dogs walk with us OFF LEASH, and TOGETHER! Kona did over 8 meet & greets with new dogs with total success on just his 2nd day home! A week later we were camping and hiking while staying in a home with Nikki and one other 9yr old dog! He and Nikki couldn't even be near each other when we dropped them off to Jesse. Every time we watch Nikki off leash and stay in a poised sit position and come on command every time, we're amazed! And to see all 3 dogs so calm together all weekend and playing and listening still just amazes us.

If you have any doubt that The Upbeat K9 can't help your family, and your dog, and your situation....I believe that to be false. These guys work with any dog, every situation and prove 100% success every time! It is well worth the investment. Jesse was amazing! My Katie came home so much more attentive and well behaved. Katie, my boxer was so full of energy and did not pay one bit of attention to me. However, now with the skills that she and I have learned, coupled with her training collar, our home is much happier and less stressful. Katie also stays with Jesse for boarding. It was tough to tell how Bella's training went when she came home because she was never that bad at home however once we brought her camping and saw the unbelievable difference in her manners it was awesome! !!! She no longer charges people walking by our site, she places well and is working on not charging other dogs but is completely responsive when we tell her to place when she tries. This company is great. They helped my big playful puppy, Rocky learn to listen and respond to direction. But the best part is Brendan taught Rocky commands with kindness and love. I have been amazed at how excited Rocky is to see Brendan at follow up visits. I figured she would not be excited to see him because he taught her discipline ... But clearly he did it in a way that was positive bc she loves him!! It's been a fantastic experience. Rocky had a great time, she learned a lot and Brendan's follow through has been incredible. Prior to contacting Upbeat K9 we had taught our dog Bruin some basic training commands but he really struggled with walking on a leash and listening when off-leash. We decided that for his own safety (and for him to have the freedom and fun that every dog deserves to have!) we needed to take his training to the next level. We signed up with Upbeat K9 and the private lesson program. After just one lesson we saw a dramatic change in Bruin's confidence level and his ability to focus. In between lessons, Jesse was very responsive and available to answer any questions/concerns/requests that we had. Bruin can now walk so well on a leash that our 12 year old daughter can easily walk him and he has been able to safely enjoy off leash walking though trails in the woods and parks. We are so pleased with the upbeat k9
Our German Shepard is 7 months old and obviously testing our limits , Jesse and Jen worked with her for over a week in there home with there daughter and puppy and Winnie came back a different pup :0)
she still try's to test us she's def a work in progress but I couldn't of done it without there help!!!!

Our 2-year-old chocolate lab Moose is an amazing dog. Unfortunately, a few months ago, he developed severe reactivity to the point where he was behaving aggressively toward pretty much every new dog. He had been to several trainers, but we did not see real results until he started working with Ian. We've just finished the Jumpstart Lite program and have already noticed a big difference in him - from uncontrollable leash reactivity to walking completely off leash with me at a crowded lake (video on this page!) - we are blown away. We contacted The Upbeat K9 for a consultation, considering e-collar training our newest rescue dog whom we have had about 8 months. Our primary concern was to have him off-leash trained, he's our little "crack dog" and can have selective hearing at times...

We were paired with Lance and he has been great from the get-go! Our consultation was easy and informative, and confirmed our desires for e-collar training. We bought our collar and the 5 private lessons.

Three lessons in and we took a week off to drive home to Georgia. We took our two dogs to the beach and Wylie did EXCELLENT! Perfect recall, and he had the best time running the beaches with his fur sister. I cannot express how exhilarating it was to have two perfectly behaved, off-leash dogs on a beach with many distractions from humans, food, and dogs playing (on and off leash). Many people were impressed seeing that our dogs were looking to us for directions and permission to greet people/dogs. We also had the opportunity to spread information and awareness about e-collar training and its positive uses!

Lance, The Upbeat K9, and e-collar training have been a huge game changer for us. We still have two sessions left to use and look forward to expanding our training to fun sports with Jesse down at The Dog Mall next! More...

Lance is amazing. We decided on the jumpstart program for our 4yr old dog. From the beginning Lance was nice and very easy to work with. He kept us updated on how she was doing and posted pics and videos on the Facebook page. When he dropped her off you could tell Athena had bonded with him and enjoyed her time with him. He spent as much time as we needed to get comfortable using the e-collar and educating us on her training. From the moment he brought her back we were impressed. She wasn't easily distracted anymore and we could have her not on a leash in our front yard which is a very big deal. He was easy to get in touch with for follow up questions.

We are very happy with upbeat K9 and especially Lance he has given us the freedom to be outside with our dog without the fear of her running off. He has given us everything we were wanting and more. More...

Jesse & Jen are the dog whisperers. When our puppy was 6 months old, we were at the end of our rope. She was very mouthy and wouldn't listen. After a week with Jesse & Jen, Rylee came back a whole new dog. She listened to commands, had discipline and was SO much more enjoyable to be around! They seriously work miracles on any dog personality! If you're looking for someone that invests their heart into your dog, the Dalton's are the answer!
